vaginal / urinary problems sways blue ?

When I conceived DS, I just had my wisdom teeth operation a couple of months prior and I was given Penicilin which made me feel so itch 'down there". Im not too sure if the penicilin causes that, but I've taken penicilin twice my whole life and it has given me the same reaction too (thouch I didn't know the side effect of penicilin is vaginal thrush??) - it made me want to cross my leg the whole time and scratch inside if i could (sorry TMI!). So it just occurs to me that maybe at that time my vaginal/cm ph level was out of whack, therefore it became "alkaline" enough which swayed boy?

A friend of ours just had her baby boy, but a couple of months before we heard her pregnancy news, I found out she had vaginal thrush. So every vaginal problems that you have would sway blue?

My doc suspects me with UTI at the moment... I do not dare to TTC girl now if it'll sway blue instad!

hmmm not sure but i used to suffer with Thrush alot but since having my d/s i have had it once.... In the 3 and a half years I have had him.... I do remember When were were ttc him Prob a week after conception I got thrush and so i thought hmmm maybe its a sign I am pregnant THEN I went to the chemist and said I am ttc and have thrush is there anthing I can use And the chemist said yes take this and then said "this wont hurt Him" So then I thought well If I am preg its a boy.. Sure enough!

Not only that, I think sometime during the week we had intercourse, i could feel a terrible burning sensation after intercourse and sure enough now I know my ph level would have been out of whack back then.

Now i need to maintain a normal and healthy environment downthere... won't TTC until doc declares i'm free of UTI!

I think antibiotics sway blue...not so much the thrush??

Drink a lot of cranberry for a UTI...sways pink!!

I had a Uti and was on antibiotics the month we got our bfp this time, will find out gender for sure next week (looking like boy so far), will keep you posted!
ps. was also drinking a ton of cranberry juice

Penicillin does indeed cause yeast infection/vag thrush. It has nothing to do with pH, it's because penicillin kills off bacteria, both healthy and otherwise, thru your entire body which then allows yeast (which is a fungus and NOT affected by antibiotic) to overgrow and take over.

Changes in pH can also cause yeast infection but both lowering and raising pH can cause YI because you kill healthy bacteria in the VJ and then that allows the yeast to take over. Please read http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...nfections.html

MANY women have YI/thrush very often and have both boys and girls. YI does not sway in any reliable way because it tends to cause fluctuations in pH and CM that may sway in either direction. ALL swayers are advised to treat YI before swaying for this reason.

Antibiotics are believed to sway blue because they raise pH and cause your body to make more mucus (including CM) but please understand, YI are NOT related to bacteria infections and you should never take antibiotics to cure a yeast infection. I personally don't think antibiotics sway that strongly anyway.

If you have a UTI and you are in agony and you NEED antibiotics to clear it up, PLEASE take them. An untreated UTI can become a kidney infection and those can be quite serious. That having been said, many docs are allowing your body to try to clear up the UTI on its own first before resorting to the antibiotcis because so many antibiotics-resistant strains of bacteria are springing up. I recently had a low grade UTI for a few weeks that over time did clear up without antibiotics - I just drank cran juice and tried to get enough fluids and pee a lot (peeing a lot washes the bacteria away) but I didn't have very severe symptoms.
