Sperm sorting method plus IVF plus PGD for a DS
I am on a learning mode here and I am pleading on your patience please.
NBP, since you have gone HT and had your wonderful boy, dear wonderful co-dreamers on HT journeys, please help answer this question...
I've learned on one of the threads here that apart from Microsort which is no longer authorized in the US, there is one clinic that has developed a very efficient sperm sorting method.
Could you please help by specifying the name and web link to that clinic?
Since I have issues with embryos' destruction, I wouldn't want to have more than 5 eggs fertilized so it really makes my margin low to have my dream baby boy. It also makes me worry about the chances of success of that difficult process, yet that's all I go for.
So really really, if you know of a very reliable clinic on IVF/PGD treatment, wherever in the world, with a good sperm sorting method for XY, please let me know...
Thank you again all for your precious resources here, especially to NBP and Atomic.

I personally don't believe sperm sorting works but I do know Dr. Andrew Silverman does a sperm sort + IVF/PGD. If you Google him his clinic will come up. As long as you are doing the PGD aspect that is fine if you want to go that way - my concern with sperm sorting is people who do NOT use the PGD step and have either sorting and IUI or else sorting and then just IVF without PGD. Neither of those methods are at all worth it because you do all that and can still easily get an opposite anyway. The only time to EVER use sperm sorting is if you are planning to do PGD because then and only then you will have the guarantee.

There is no real sperm sorting method I am sad to say. There are clinics that use sperm sorting but one of those is genesis and has very poor success rates.
You cannot guarantee you will not create a XX embryo. What happens if you do? Until you know how you answer that question, IVF may not be an option for you.
You may choose to donate it to a couple. That is an option or you can transfer it. But there is no way possible to guarantee you will not create only XX embryos or at least one healthy one.
You can go to Mexico and cycle there. They use Microsort but you still will never be able to prevent making XX embryos.

Or you can go to Mexico and do IVF with MS only and NO PGD. If you do not use testing, you increase your odds of putting back a XY embryo but you will not know if it is XX or XY at transfer time. You also will not know what the genders are of the ones you do not choose to transfer. You will have extra embryos with no testing involved. What do you do with those? IVF is hard if you cannot live with extra embryos UNLESS you choose to donate them!
