What are you doing with your "unwanted" embryos?

First, there is no guarantee that you will have any extra embryos. A benefit of full testing is that you do not end up freezing a lot of embryos unnecessarily.
You may end up with one or two at most. I am not aware of any real funding for research purposes right now. Most discard them and some donate them and I am sure freeze indefinitely.

This is one of those "cross that bridge when you come to it" questions because so many people end up not even having enough to transfer, let alone having to make this decision.

My husband won't do HT because of this. I think a girl diet can help you get more xx's but I'm not sure...

Sadly, diet makes no different whatsoever when doing HT with regards to more XX - change in diet can certainly improve quality though. When going into HT, I really think you need to concentrate and hope you will get a healthy embie of your desired gender and it will work, rather than worrying about what to do with any left over ones. Really good luck x

Yes please please no one follow a swaying diet when going HT. I have a diet I designed for people who are sitting on the fence between the two but anyone who is decided on doing IVF needs to follow a lower carb, higher protein diet (but NOT super low carb!! Most still need some carbs in their diet for optimal fertility!!) such as South Beach, the Zone, or my personal fave Perfect Health Diet.

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
