We did spend about 10 months trying to sway, not a heavy sway for the first few months, but each month I would add something else that I'd researched in an effort to get our girl. We had a miscarriage at 5 months TTC and then another at 10 months and that's when I decided that swaying was taking a backseat because at the end of the day I wanted another child whether it was a girl or a boy. Another 9 months later I had another miscarriage, but the following cycle (no normal AF between) at 20 months trying we managed to get pregnant again and here I am today, 11w5d.
Originally I wasn't going to find out what we are having, I had bad GD with DS#2 ever since I found out he was a boy at the anatomy scan, but as soon as he was born I was in love with him and felt terrible for how I'd felt during pregnancy. I really don't think that knowing the gender helped me, because the entire time I was wishing he was somehow a girl, but all it took was to hold him after the birth for me to get over my GD. But in saying all this, DH wants to know so I think I will decide on the day of the scan.
Because we weren't swaying for a girl, nearly everything we did swayed boy, every test and predictor says boy and in all likelihood it's a boy.
Bump
Not sure where to ask not TTC
