It is close enough for attempt. There is nothing magic about waiting for the true pos, we are just trying to be in wiht attempt ahead of the egg, but not TOO far ahead.

I tested 3x yesterday and once this morning and I got a dark like very quickly on all( def positive).
For how many days does a Positive last? Does it show up positive on ovulation day itself too?
Do you attempt at first sign of def positive?

Kit I always BD at the first sign of OPK (usually a couple of hours later because I've often gotten my positive when I couldn't BD right away). If you test on O day it will probably still come out a dark line. That's my guess. I've never tried it though.

It varies by person, by month. It's just however long it takes your body to clear the hormone. You will ovulate average 24-36 hours after the FIRST positive, not the darkest. Plan your attempt based on first positive.

UPDATE: Well ladies, I got a BFP on a digital yesterday and a really faint line on a FRER. The faint line naturally worried me. Unfortunately the same day, just a few minutes later I started bleeding heavily. It occurred right around the time of my period so I am pretty confident that this was a CP.

Keep testing. You can have bleeding in early pregnancy and still be pregnant. I had what I thought was a period, lasted 5 days and was heavier than a normal period and I was pg the entire time with a happy healthy baby who is now 5 yrs old.

Really atomic? Did your pregnancy test get darker? How often should I test and what should I be looking for with the test line? The bleeding is much like a period and it's starting out pretty heavy. I'm going to the doctor next week so they can check me also.

I never tested. I had the bleeding and assumed that it was AF and I wasn't pregnant and (huge regrets over this) started back in with a sway diet and super high dose of Vitex for 2 weeks. I did do a pg test that was super duper dark but it was well after the bleeding had ended. When I went in for an ultrasound I was 3 1/2 weeks further along than I should have been and I had started off with two pregnancies and ended up with only one, and it was also placenta previa. No one knows if the bleeding was from the placenta previa or the vanishing twin. Either is a possibility and I know of several women who had what seemed like AF and remained pregnant.

Thanks Atomic. I tested this morning and it was super light. Lighter than the first time and arguably not there. I'll be at the doctor this week. I feel like they're just going to give me another pregnancy test, tell me it's negative and send me home. I kind of wish they'd do an ultra sound so they can see what's going on in there

They can't see anything though. This is one of those cases where they are unhelpful typically because they can't help and doctors are not great with their bedside manner when they are not able to do anything to assist.
