Going to try a GIRL sway for my 4th baby
Hello everyone! I'm brand new here and wanted to say hi. I am a mom to three amazing boys. They are definitely the sunshine of my life and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I am going to try a girl sway for my 4th baby and have done lots of reading on this site over the past week. I plan to do the LE diet, high cardio for 1 hour at least 5-6 times per week, and I'm thinking of trying to get a prescription for Clomid of Femara. Are they both pretty equal in terms of the % of girl sway? From what I've read, Femara doesn't have the potential side effects that Clomid has, and there is a much lower chance of twins.
I'm so happy to be here with you ladies!

Thanks! I think we'll start trying in September. That gives me a few more weeks to read as much as possible (I'm nervous about learning which foods are good for the LE diet), and then start swaying in June.

Hi and welcome!
Femara was just shown in a recent study to possibly be better than Clomid. But Clomid is darn good too.

Thank you! One of the things I read was that if you're older and use Clomid, it can affect the quality of your eggs. What is the "cut-off" age where you would recommend not using Clomid? I'm going to be 38 this summer. Is Femara similar in that it can affect egg quality after a certain age? Thanks!

My obgyn gave me Clomid - im 38. I've yet to start it, but a couple women on here aren't loving the effects.

It largely depends on what you can GET. AT 38, you may be seeing an increase in FSH which could lead to Clomid lowering egg quality, but at the same time not that many doctors will even prescribe Femara so you may be stuck with a choice of giving Clomid a try (and it does work for some older moms, esp. if you get pg first month or two on it) or nothing.

you can have the bum effects of Clomid at any age though. the real issue with Clomid for older moms is "invisible" because it can raise FSH thru the roof.
