Hey everyone!
Hey all, mom of 2 boys here (Oct '12 and Feb '14) looking to try and conceive a girl with try #3. My husband and I have been married for 3.5 years. Neither my boys were planned or timed, with my oldest I was on the pill when it was recalled and my youngest I was nursing my oldest when I got pg. I'm planning on having my iud removed the end of summer and we'd like to start trying for our third in November/December. Looking forward to getting to know some of you ladies along the way!

Welcome!!
Mom to

It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that" than to look back and say "I wish I did that".

Welcome! I will resume pink swaying in September and start TTC again in December so maybe we'll be cycle buddies. What kind of IUD? Removing it right before TTC and catching the first egg off the IUD seems to sway pink so something to consider.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after removìng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I have the mirena. I had read that, but I was thinking if I had it out and could chart and keep an eye on ph, that would be a better bet. Plus I hate my iud with a passion and don't know if I want to deal with it for another 4 months. It's killed my sex drive, made me have wild mood swings, and I bleed heavy every time we have sex but my gyno said "that's all normal".

Ohhh I hate the Mirena (never had one but I have been on the same progestin it excretes and HATED it, no libido, so dry, constant AF like cramps, etc etc) so I would remove it ASAP too. Not worth putting up with the serious side effects you're experiencing.
I wholeheartedly recommend charting but be aware that very often swaying can alter your cycles, make them unpredictable, longer etc, especially when swaying pink. And it seems that usually once you start TTC your cycles are even more unpredictable. Murphy's Law but soooo common on here.
Also: don't bother checking pH or worrying about it. It doesn't actually seem to matter and being obsessive about it can actually sway blue. The diet will do a lot to optimize your reproductive tract environment for pink anyway, including lowering pH and reducing EWCM/turning it creamy.Last edited by maidentomother; July 3rd, 2015 at 08:16 PM.

Hello Atomic, I didn't expect to report here again. But after 2.5 years and countless cycles of TTC, as well as 3 inseminations and 2 ICSI, I unexpectedly had a BFP a few weeks ago. I'm in the...
