New and nervous!
Hi everyone! After months of stalking this site I thought it was about time that I joined!
My husband and I have a 10 year old son and would love him to have a sibling, preferably a girl but happy with either!
I had breast cancer 4 years ago which got in the way of our baby plans (we wanted a big gap between them but not quite that big!) and as we will be turning 40 next year, this really is a one time shot!
I've been on the LE diet for two months but haven't lost much weight. I was vegetarian when I had my son but have eaten meat for the last 5 years. I have gone back veggie now though.
Are there any members who have had breast cancer but successfully swayed?
This site has given me so much information already, so thank you!

Hi Pixiepop,
Sorry to hear about your cancer - but glad you're well again now. Sorry I can't answer your question. I assume if you're not taking any extra medication, that you will have the same chances as anyone swaying?

Thanks Lucinda
I'm not taking any medication now, but it's the possible chance of it recurring that worries me. Hormones play a big part so that's why I wondered if there were any success stories. Fx for next month as BFN in October.

Hi and welcome pixiepop, somehow this post sneaked by me!
I am so sorry to hear of your illness but glad you're doing well now. I am not aware of any gals who had cancer who swayed, but I do know a couple peopel in real life who were cancer survivors and both had girls after their treatment. I would have you on atomic fertility diet and you can read about that here (5 from the top) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...rt-3-pcos.html
I want you to be VERY careful with the folic acid. Don't take a megadose (even the ones that I recommend.) Some evidence indicates folic acid may make cancer cells grow and I just want you to be careful with that.
Best thing to do is stick with one attempt. No risks to your health and sways pink in a big way. If you have your attempt at pos OPK, it's actually quite good odds of conception as well.
