Hi Atomic
So I just had my blood work done and Dr said borderline hypothoderism detected and she said start with 25mg of thyroxine.
I'm now more stressed...how will this affect blue sway or pregnancy overall. Can you please please shed some light?
Are there people who still continue trying even if taking thyroxine or do I wait for it to b normal.
Tsh level came 5.2
She did say it's borderline so it's not a lot.
I'm feeling so sad I'm so so ready for my next one and been waiting and trying since 2 months.

As long as it's being treated, it won't hurt your chances of a girl at all.
Yes you can continue trying, it should be corrected very easily now that your doctor is treating it.

Also, you may want to ask if they want you to continue prenatals with iodine or find something else.

Hi Atomic...
Thankyou for the assurance. Fertility window is just around the corner so that gives me relief to know we can continue trying.
Having thyroid medicine does that sway either boy or girl? Or is there no such evidence
Also as you know atomic last 2 months I have been doing the back to back attempts of bd.
If this time we try cd 12 13 14 15 one attempt a day.. how is that for blue sway? Or shall I put in 2 attempts on 14 day the day I see positive?

We don't know if thyroid medicine sways and we also don't know if the underlying causes of thyroid issues sway, either.. I do feel like we see more blue moms with thyroid issues, but there are def. some pink moms with thyroid issues too (and since we have so many more pink swayers it may just be a numbers game)
As long as you ovulate when you expect to I am fine with you attempting CD 12-15 (or even 16 in case of delayed O). If possible to have 2 attempts CD 14 that's great, but if not that's ok too.

Just take more than one of the folic acid and fish oil. It doesn't need to be exact, it can just be a close amount so you could take 1600 mcg folic (so two of those 800) and that is fine. You can even space it out over the day for better absorption. Or two 1000 like you say.
Those fish oils are fine!!

Hi Atomic
So AF just arrived. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My first baby was conceived just after the first attempt.
Been trying since 3 4 months....
This attempt I got a solid smiley on 29 Oct and we did that night...
The next night one attempt but really late at around 2 am.
Then again the next day in afternoon...
Can you please shed some light....I'm feeling so so sad after every cycle. Can thyroid be an issue or maybe the spacing of attempts?
The next cycle what can I do differently for BOY.. perhaps do every day from 0-2 to 0+1. My cycle is bang on time

Yes absolutely have sex every day from O-2 through O+1 and be sure you are having hubby "clean the pipes" every 2-4 days anyway. Above we had talked about having more attempts and I'm still on board with that.
The thyroid stuff can really mess with conceiving. I think that getting this corrected will absolutely help.
It's not that common to get pregnant on the first try. Sometimes it happens and that is great, but we can't expect it to always happen.
Are you using Preseed or any other jelly/douche? What about a Diva Cup?
Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
