Brewer's yeast
I read this first of course http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...513-yeast.html
Since I can't find nutritional yeast, I decided to take brewer's yeast. Finally something cheap
Is it better to take it fresh or in powder? One teaspoon daily is enough?m/c 2001

I haven't even bothered to look for the nutritional yeast flakes, but I can add a brewer's yeast tablet into my pills! Easy peasy! Thanks for the info!!

What is brewers yeast good for? I was close to getting some but I wasn't too sure what it does and how important it is..
I already am taking my women's 1 A Day, EPO, fish oil, coq 10, FA and wheat grass.. And beef gelatin powder form.. Would you guys recommend brewers yeast?

I just copied this info for you - BREWER'S YEAST - Similar to NYF but with some additional nutrients, particularly chromium, which helps sway blue by reducing the ratio of body fat to muscle mass. Also may raise good cholesterol levels (your body uses that good cholesterol to manufacture estrogen and testosterone!) Brewer's yeast isn't tasty like NYF is and is best taken in teaspoonfuls stirred into fruit juices or mixed into other foods.
BY is low in calcium and is a good source of sodium and potassium, is a good source of nucleic acids (helps cells divide and grow), is a complete vegetarian source of protein, a good vegetarian source of iron, and has compounds in it that help regulate your blood sugar and keep it even, which XY beans prefer. If you don't use BY at any other time, during the 2 WW it is an excellent addition to your diet.
Some brands of brewer's yeast are debittered to make them more palatable, but the debittering process removes the chromium. Get the "bitter" kind!
Mixing BY into citrus juice, pineapple juice, or V-8 will help the iron to be absorbed. This is an excellent snack for blue because it's not a lot of calories (you have to eat SO MUCH when swaying blue anyway it's nice to be able to cut a corner here and there) and yet it has a lot of protein in it.
NOTE - both NYF and BY can be added to foods you are cooking to fortify them, but be aware that heat destroys some of the nutrients. Add at the end of cooking for best results.

I was taking brewer's yeast capsules, got them at the health food store, pretty inexpensive. I tried the BY on it's own before I got the capsules...YECH! Anyone who can knock back pineapple juice seasoned with BY is a hero in my eyes
