Hi Adia...sorry about your miscarriage I think in the end you can sway a little bit this way or that way, but who knows what the outcome witll be! As long as baby's got all little fingers and toes and all in the right spot, we should consider ourselves blessed!

I really hope Clomid can help you conceive your little boy.

Mrs._P, any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Thank you!
I went to the doctor. She is young and thorough and wouldn't give it to me. GRRRR!

She wants me to do some blood tests this cycle and check some levels. She says normal-fertile-no-issue couples take on average 5 cycle to conceive and technically it has only been 5 cycle since my miscarriage.

So while that is true, I just wanted her to give me the clomid and let me figure out the rest. I'll go along with it all and make sure everything is ok.

Some Doctors can be very strict. I also get very frustrated with that sort of attitude, I know it's best for us and all BUT...sometimes we know what we need and we need it NOW! My Doctor wouldn't give it to me either but she referred me to a Fertility specialist who did lots of tests that came out fine. I had to say I had been trying for a while, which is a lie, but how can I justify asking for Clomid? I can't say it's for swaying purposes, he's going to either laugh at me or tell me off big time. So, he said I have unexplained infertility and gave me a Clomid prescription to try for 3 months, that's how I got mine, but the things you have to do! It makes me feel bad to lie about it, but it should be up to me what I want to to with my sway and I won't let Doctors get on the way!

I hope you get your little blue bean, Clomid or not! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I was wondering myself why it's been said that clomid sways girl when it seems just as many have boys on it. I am thinking about trying it myself but may just stick with vitex as the one daughter I'd did have I took vitex and not with my 3 boys.

Wondering how high the successrates are to get pregnant with clomid at all... probably really low otherwise there would be more success stories on here since atomic is giving clomid as an advice for girl sways.... and not many people are actually taking it... but I really believe in Vitex and I would really like to see how many failed sways are out there using vitex for a few month straight on not Af -o. because in my prescription it says to use daily and my mothere used it even when she was already pregnant. same as my friend who told me she concieved her daughter on it...

Sorry only just now spotted this. Clomid has been proven in studies (plural) to sway pink 3-5% of the time. And most of the people who are prescribed Clomid, are either PCOS (which sways blue to begin with) and/or are given additional medications that undo some of the way the Clomid sways pink (supplemental estrogen) and/or are told to DTD in certain patterns and using certain fertility-boosting jellies, diet, supplements that also sway blue. So final analysis, in a person who does not have PCOS, who is not using supplemental Estrogen, and is following other pink sway tenets such as LE Diet, no prenatal or other fertility-boosting supplements, and who isn't using Preseed or other blue-swaying jellies to up odds of conception, you can expect more than the 3-5% that has been demonstrated in several scientific studies.

??? I thnk we've seen quite a few people using it on here (34 people, out of which about 75% got girls http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...readsheet.html) and that's not counting my experience with people who AREN'T on this site and are not represented in the stats, which is considerable. I believe Clomid is a good pink sway and an excellent way to get people pregnant. It's the gold standard for boosting odds of conception and has been for nearly 50 years.

I just want to point out that the reason why I do not recommend the vitex daily for several months is because we have seen tons of trouble with it. On paper it sounds great and everyone wants to think it won't happen to them, but trust me, when your ovulation STOPS and you can't get your doctor to help you until 6-12 months has gone by without a cycle, you WILL regret taking the vitex nonstop for months at a time. There are of course people out there who haven't been affected by it that strongly. But IMO it is not worth the risk.

My experience using vitex for gender swaying is greater than that of anyone on the planet. (not bragging, it's just stating a fact) I don't care what herbologist says this or that, or what it says on the bottle. This is one area where I know more. I have seen many a person given vitex every day by herbologists, who suddenly find they cannot get pregnant. It is not worth the risk because too many people have fudged up their fertility with the vitex and ended up having to get fertility treatments in order to restart ovulation (clomid, provera to restart ovulation, bloodwork, etc) It is an enormous pain in the ass and has caused people to lose many months, if not years out of their fertile window. Maybe that is an acceptible risk to you and it will probably sway pink, because anything that drastically reduces fertility tends to sway pink. But it is not and never will be my standard recommendation for the population as a whole.

Re taking vitex when pregnant, you can find people who do everything "wrong" and end up having a healthy baby anyway. I accidentally took it when I was pregnant with my DS 4. But I do not sit around and wait till I see people having miscarriages and babies with birth defects before I stop recommending things. I look at the data on how these things affect basic human biology and then err on the side of absolute safety and caution and I believe that vitex is NOT SAFE enough for the average person to take it when they are pregnant (even just a little bit).

Since i never commented on this original thread last year, I just want to state clearly that I do NOT recommend Clomid for any woman over 37-38 and am iffy for anyone over 35. under no circumstances should anyone 39 and up use Clomid. You can find doctors that will prescribe it to you but it is because they want to shut you up and get you out of their office and not because it is medically indicated. Clomid causes FSH levels to rise and this can affect egg quality so much that older moms have slim chances of conception on Clomid. Some people can still get pg using it, but I don't think it's your best option and no one should ever use it for the sole purpose of swaying pink at 37 and up.

Femara is a better bet for older moms, it does not have as many negatives to it as the Clomid does and a recent study showed that Femara also swayed pink so if you are 37 and up and can get Femara, it's a much better option.
