I actually heard the opposite, that having another baby close to your first is more likely to produce the same gender - hence the expression "Irish Twins." (I mean no disrespect to the Irish as most of my ancestors came from Ireland.) Anyway that's part of why I waited to conceive.

I had my DD and only 4 months later found out I was pregnant with my DS1. I was BFing and on a farely good diet. We did not expect me to get pregnant so soon! I was going to start taking the pill the month I found out I was pregnant also. Should have started earler, oh well lol.

I was breast feeding 14 month old ds3 when I conceived ds4, and know lots of one gender families that popped theirs out every year trying to have their gd, so idk I would like to know if there is a scientific reason though

I have 6 boys and as you can see from my signature, there is a year between most of them, so I say no that theory is wrong!!!!

I have heard that you are more likely to have the same gender of the babies if you have them close together. Seems to be true for a lot of people I know (but not for all)

Sorry hun, this wasn't right for me, I got pregnant with DS2 when my DS1 was 3 months old, but I suppose there are always opposites to every theory x

I had DD 2/28/06 and had DS1 5/21/07. So yes that worked for me. We weren't trying, just had not started the pill yet..oops lol.
Mom of 5, DD , DS1 ,DS2 , DS3 and surprise DD 2 . Baby number 5 sure was meant to be here, she was born after I had a tubal ligation after baby 4 was born! We are so happy to have her join us, done having kids now (hopefully my body now agrees)!!

I had 4 boys in 6 years while breastfeeding and losing massive weight (30+lbs) each time except the first, obviously. Then two more boy pregnancies very close a couple years later. You'd think one of these times, the swaying theories would work for me...but NOPE!! (also conceived after miscarriage many times, 8 in total)
