Mayan Tale

The Mayan tale adds the mothers age at conception and the year of conception. If the result is a even number then mom is having a girl. If the result is an odd number then a boy is on the way! According to this, we are having a girl.

DS1 I was 25 1/2 and it was 2007 - odd numbers - boy
DS2 I was 27 1/2 and it was 2009 - odd numbers - boy
#3 I will be about 1-2 mths before my 30th birthday and it is 2011 - 50/50 shot. Maybe I will wait until Jan to get preg.

But if you add those 2007 + 25 = 2032 which is even? Or did you not mean they added them?

DD1 born 06 and i concieved her when i was 23 29 odd
DD2 born 08 and i concieved her when i was 25 33 odd
This baby ll be born 11 and i concieved him at 29 40 even, hope this is all wrong for me since hoping for a boy this time

I totally missed the adding thing... but if we add the #2032 together to make one number it would be 7. so for DS2 27+2009=2036, 2+0+3+6= 11, 1+1=2 ??? I wonder what they would really mean by adding? how far does one have to go?

FOUND THIS ON ANOTHER SITE.....
Somewhat similar to the Chinese lunar calendar theory, if you add the month in which the baby was conceived with your age at the time of conception, and the number is even, then it’s a boy. If the number comes out to be odd, then it’s a girl.

DS1 - 5+25=30 EVEN=BOY
DS2 - 5+27=32 EVEN=BOY

What are the results for everyone else???

i didn't see this post, I just posted a few hours ago on the same thing!
9+22=31 ODD= DS1
3+24=27 ODD=DS2

DH and I will be ttc on even months when we decide to start ttc again

According to the ulthrasound I'm having a girl, but on here it says a boy and every gender perdiction test I take its a boy.. I also dream its a boy. why?

Because none of the online gender predictor old wives tales, be they Mayan, Chinese Gender Predictors, or whatnot, work. They're all just for fun, there is no magic to any of them.

If your ultrasound says girl, the odds are that you're having a girl. Ultrasounds can be wrong, but it's pretty unusual.

It's also totally normal to have dreams where your baby is the opposite gender.

Yep... just fun! Nearly all OWT, calendars, etc said that DS2 should have been a girl.
