Morning sickness ( or all day sickness) related to baby's gender
Hello ladies,
I am hearing and reading that ladies pregnant with boys are less likely to get morning sickness ( all day sickness, evening sickness). I personally asked around and four out five boys moms had no sickness and only one boy mom had it.
You guys agree? Or what has been your experience?
I really want to have a littl brother for my DD but my morning sickness which starts mostly around 4in the evening making me little doubtful. I only threw up few times but the indigestion feeling last all evening.
Thank you!Last edited by Gg8; December 12th, 2016 at 01:29 PM.

It just simply depends on the pregnancy and it's different each time. I have 3 boys and with DS1, I had a puke fest that lasted for two weeks, with DS2 I was nauseous for 24 weeks and was still puking at week 28, and with DS3 I was nauseous my whole pregnancy!
Congrats on your pregnancy, and I hope you hear blue! You may have all my blue baby dust !

Don't put too much into this as it totally varies with each pregnancy. With DS1 I was horribly ill, all day, every day for nearly 16 weeks. DS2 I had a few bouts of mild nausea and that was it. 2 boys, yet 2 totally different sickness and nausea experiences.

No, that is totally untrue (both in observations, my own experience, and in studies.)
The only thing ever proven was a miniscule difference in the amount of people who got a very rare kind of morning sickness called hyperemesis. That is 3% likelier in girl moms than boy moms (meaning 47% of boy moms got it, 53% girl moms) not much of a difference and zero difference was seen in just regular morning sickness.
I was sick with 3 of my boy pregnancies and very miserable, then with my girl pregnancy and one of my other boy pregnancies I had very little morning sickness at all.
I have also talked to a LOT LOT LOT of people who were in a tiz over this and totally sure they were not getting their DG because of this idea, who did. It just isn't true.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I had hyperemesis with my son which resulted in hospitalisation, an IV and 9 months of nausea and vomiting. Everyone said he was a girl.. and told me to eat ginger biscuits lol...!!

My mom NEVER had morning sickness and told me several times she thought it was "psychological". She had 2 girls and one boy. I never ever expected to get it because I totally thought it was psychological LOLOLOL Then I got pregnant with my first son and I threw up every day for months. (She never had heartburn either?!?)

My mom had three girls and had "unicorn" pregnancies -- no nausea, no morning sickness, nothing. Just some tiredness and heartburn at the end. Her mother, my grandmother, had hyperemesis with both a boy and a girl. I had a girl and never threw up once, though I did have a lot of nausea and food aversions (some that linger to this day). One of my good friends just found out she's having a boy and she's on maybe week 20 of puking.
Definitely not a sign of the sex of baby! Remember, Kate Middleton had hospitalizing hyperemesis with her son AND daughter.
