I totally forgot about the vitamin k shot at delivery. My DH and I felt so bad. We could have done the supplement instead of subject our baby DD newborn to a damn shot! Did they work okay for you?

The injection is more effective than the drops because it builds up the vitamin levels very quickly and is not reliant on the baby's digestion, it not spitting them up or someone remembering to give all the doses.
At the same time, the drops are much better than nothing and having seen a baby die because she didn't have the vitamin K injection, I choose to give it to my babies

I've seen and given lots of babies the drops and they inevitably spit them back up 20 mins later. IMHO they are just not reliable and I believe Vitamin K is very important, not all babies that bleed have visible bruising / marks showing.
