Progesterone levels and gender?
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere at some point that higher progesterone (p4) levels in early pregnancy may indicate girl? (I think I read that with my last pregnancy.) I am of course starting to obsess symptoms and levels and all that lovely stuff (will be 5 weeks tomorrow). My levels were
15 dpo - p4 - 45.4, hcg 297
19 dpo - p4 not checked, hcg 2427
Obviously, very happy with these numbers. Looking back at numbers with my boys, hcg is in the general ballpark (although on the higher side), but p4 is definitely higher this time. DS1: p4 = 24, DS2: p4 = 27, and DS3: p4 = 32.6
Anyone else have numbers they can share? Just curious!

Science tells us that progesterone is produced by corpus luteum (yellow body) in your ovaries which remains there for a few months following ovulation. It has nothing to do with the embryo itself or its gender.Placenta starts producing some progesterone at around 8-9 weeks of pregnancy. My progesterone levels have been low this pg, but this has nothing to do with sex of the baby, but rather with the fact that the I didn't ovulate when the embryo was transferred.
and finally my ht !!!
