How accurate is nipt? Nifty told me dd but I can not believe it

Thanks atomic, I have posted my pics in the ultra sound forum. It is a lazy baby what ever the sex, it hardly moved at all on the scan! I can't feel any kicks. Maybe it feel more real when he / she is keeping me awake with heartburn on kicks in the cervix!

Lol as the name suggests I'm not a new poster ;0) but not ready to to talk about my pg as I can't get my head round it and probably never will at this rate.

I had a non invasive nifty blood blood test (The NIFTY Test: Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)) and was told girl. I had a scan for the test at 11.4 weeks and was also told girl from the nub. It did look very flat. I didn't ask for a gender guess but I was offered it as it looked clear to the sono. She did say it was just a guess

My blood went To hong kong for DNA testing. Problem is I can't believe I'm having a girl. I want to book at 16 sexing scan but I don't think I will be able to believe that either.

I feel sick. I needed the trisomy confirmation as I'm no spring chicken but everything else - I can't except.

How accurate are these extra cellular DNA tests? I think if gave birth I still couldn't except the sex. Now also worrying the trisomy stuff could be wrong

Blood testing is very accurate. A friend of mine tried non-invasive prenatal paternity testing (https://dnasu.com/services/prenatal-test/). When the baby was born she decided to try usual paternity testing, just to be sure. Of course, results were correct. So, there is no reason to overcheck prenatal blood testing.
