Hmmm....how to hide a pregnancy at work?
So, I've never had morning sickness. I don't think I "have it have it". BUT (ew) dry heaves this morning....bolted to the bathroom, thought breakfast was coming up. I haven't even missed my period yet.
How do you working away from home mommies hide pregnancy symptoms from your employer/coworkers?
Now truly is a bad time to be pregnant at work, but I figured I'm too old to wait out the job loss threat. I know they cannot fire you for being pregnant, but our whole district is being restructured and there IS a chance, if we amalgamate, I may be deemed "reduntant". So, trying to hide it for as long as possible.
Never had to deal with symptoms (besides fatigue) early in pregnancy at work.
Thoughts?

Prego pops... they have one that looks like a jolly rancher. They worked for my DS2 and DS3. Also cola syrup or flat coke, you can just say you are drinking soda to avoid eating for a diet.

Ginger ale (with real ginger,) Sea Bands, eating small amounts all day long, especially things like crackers and soup. Those are things that helped me through.
And yes, dry heaves counts as MS. I had MS terribly with DS2 and threw up almost daily until 20 weeks, and not so bad with DS1. With him, I only threw up twice, but I felt yucky and nauseous every morning until 14 weeks. My Gender Dream came true, my family is complete!

Also with DS1 I had MS from before I could test until he was born. It was summer and we didn't have air conditioning (in that area the hottest was 90). On the really bad days I did sip Ginger Ale every few minutes all day. Avoid acidic, tangy or spicy foods. But on the supper bad days I noticed that was when I was low on the amount of water I drank. With DS2 I drank a lot of water about 1cp every hour. Yes the potty was my best friend but I was only sick with him in the first few months and when I had to change a dirty diaper.

a friend suggested keeping saltines in my desk too. Off tomorrow, thank goodness. I'll be better prepared for Monday. It just caught me by surprise today. Left work early after I lost my lunch :s

I personally eat high protein/fat for morning sickness. I find the less carbs I eat in early pregnancy the better I do. Others have said that if they snack on something like saltines or soda that it works. I found ginger (ginger capsules) to be very helpful. I think everyone is different and you need to figure out what works for you. Preggie pops didn't do a thing for me but I know others it has helped. Sea bands helped but only a little bit for me.
I think I have tried every MS remedy known to man and the only thing that helped me was high protein/fat diet. For me I had to eat only protein and fat every meal and after a couple of days the morning sickness was almost completely gone. For me it is a low blood sugar thing. I hope you find something that works for you!! Being sick at work is the worst!!

I agree with wanting pink (as well as some of the other things the ladies suggested! I have been sick for all 4 but I have done high protein/ low carb and I feel it really helped! Also eating every couple hours.
I also had to be on diclectin and still take one at night!
Iced water and esp iced coffee (weird) helps me!
Green tart apples and jolly ranchers. Crackers have never helped me, not sure why!!
I've never been able to hide my pregnancy symptoms until this one as I just felt too awful! Hope you can get it under control!!:/7

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
