    My belly doesn't seem right...

I am 17 weeks with my 5th child. My last baby is only 7 (almost 8) months old... so the fear that my body wasn't quite ready for another one did come up. But I had two ultrasounds and all my vitals have been fine. My last appointment was last week, and the doctor didn't have gel while she was trying to find the heartbeat. She tried for about 5 minutes with water, then another few minutes with sanitizer, and finally got it. She said my uterus was more off to the left (never had that before) and I assume her not having gel also made it difficult. But I couldn't help but to worry a little. Then yesterday I noticed that underneath my belly button is "dented". I was hoping it would have popped back out by today. My belly is also softer than I think it should be. Am I just being paranoid? Has anyone ever seen this before? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Sorry that the second picture is sideways, I couldn't get it to rotate.

Well, the easiest answer is usually the right one...getting pregnant that quickly, nothing had a chance to move back or shrink back so my guess is, that is just due to extra skin. When you stand up, do things round back out? You surely have extra "fluff" and skin when you got pregnant and now your body is stretching back out. I think it is just a skin laxity thing!

No, it doesn't round back out when I stand. But your answer does make sense. I hope that's all it is. Thank you.

As a fellow mom of 5 I can tell you that it is totally normal!!! My tummy did all kinds of weird things and my uterus got more and more tipped with subsequent pregnancies. It's actually very normal for tummy to feel softer at this stage of gestation too, it's only later on it gets really hard (you'd be surprised how many times I've heard that exact question, it isn't just you!!)

Thank you so much! I feel much better. I really didn't want to worry, but I needed to make sure that it was probably something normal.

Mine was dented above the belly button with DS2 evem though it was 3 years since my previous child. I was told it was probably from a bit more muscle separation that time.

My stomach also pointed a bit more to the left and I have since found out my pelvis isn't straight so that's why it went more left.

Yes that's exactly what I was thinking too, probably a bit of ab muscle separation and very normal for us moms of many.
