Just do what you're doing. There's no proof that fruits and vegetables will make the SCH clear up faster and many fruits and veg have either blood thinning components (like garlic and onions and cruciferous veg) or Vit K (dark leafy greens)

Ok, thanks atomic. I've started spotting again over the weekend (albeit brown instead of bright red this time), so starting to get anxious. I'll continue to do the same. Appreciate it.

hope your ok max, spotting will always be scary but on the plus side brown blood is old blood, i would imagine its very normal to have brown spotting in your situation? as nasty as this sounds the blood has to go somewhere.. and this could be the last/older bits from your original bleeding just woking their way out. when are you back in for your next check? we've all got our fingers crossed for you and your little bean over in the due date thread xx

Thank you so much 4blue! I go back in tomorrow, but for my first OB appointment since I've been seeing the RE. I'm hoping she will do an ultrasound and check on baby. I'm hoping that's what brown blood means also, and I agree, has to go somewhere. Just wish it would just disappear. I'm such an active person and this 1.5 weeks on bedrest (while not a long time) feels like ETERNITY! Really very hard for me, and unfortunately gives me more time to over analyze everything.

Tips for subchorionic hemorrhage (subchorionic hematoma)

Max- remember that as the scab starts to form and fall off there will be some brown spotting. It may happen off and on until it falls off completely leaving behind new tissue.

^ this sounds promising max like what needs to happen is happening, though i agree that no spotting at all would be preferable! yes i can imagine being stuck in bed 24/7 is very very frustrating, is it that you are literally only allowed up for the bathroom? you need some netflix series's to binge watch!!
thats good that you are being seen tomorrow, fingers crossed you get another scan, id be surprised if they dont seen as thats the only way they can check on the size of it and also the best way to check baby i will be thinking of you and keeping an eye out for your update. xx

Thank you both so much!!! I didn't think of it that way, good to hear that. I'm really praying that's it. I'm so so so ready to get back to life as normal (and omg I miss the gym lol).

How long did it take for yours to fully heal? Once it's gone, can you resume normal activity?

Yes that's just what I was going to say - brown blood is normal and to be expected as this clears itself up.

You will be able to resume normal activity once it clears up. It gets better and better as the pregnancy progresses and the placenta grows into the uterus more fully.

Hi ladies! I just finished my first OB appointment and the tech that did my ultrasound said she actually saw two hematomas - the one I've known about, and then another "very small one". The large one is located on the other side of the placenta, so hope that is at least a good thing? Anyway, go back again in four weeks. I'm still spotting and she told me to expect bedrest for at least until after first trimester.
