knowing your baby gender from your pregnancy test
I read a study published in BBC website saying that
female babies have more HCG ( human chorionic gonadotropin) that is
the hormone produced during pregnancy than male babies .
As we know home pregnancy test depend on this hormone to show you
the result (positive or negative) .
I can add the link if it is allowed
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I read this study , I remember that
with my girls ,I get my positive before period is due to (two or three days earlier)
and the two lines in result window of the test are very dark all of them
In this pregnancy , I get positive result after 3.5 days from the period time .
and the my line is faint I mean test line is dark while result line is faint .
Also my friend has two boys and a girl and she said her pregnance test lines are faint with boys
and the two lines are dark with the girl .

what about your experience ladies !!!!!!

I don’t think you can go off HPT. It depends when implantation happened (early vs late) and also your urine concentration.
I hope you get your prince. You can have All my blue dust lol.

This is not reliable AT ALL and you can read why in this thread. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...cy-test-2.html
PLEASE DO NOT CELEBRATE UNTIL GENDER IS CONFIRMED you are setting yourself up for massive heartbreak if you do.
The only ways to tell your baby's gender is the NIPT test, or ultrasound confirmation at 18+ weeks.

I had solid test lines at 10 dpo with my 3 sons. My current pregnancy had a super faint line at 13 dpo ish BUT was quick to darken but that's cause its twins. I really wouldn't put much stock in anything like this, trust me. I had heard the same theory and hoped it was true on my boys. Also I had Hyperemesis on my first two which supposedly leans toward girl but nope, both boys. Old wives tales and superstition and a whole lot of guess work. NIPT or gender scan around 20 weeks are the only way of knowing before delivery.
Sending you all my blue dust. After 4 bots I have tonnes xx

I knew gender from my test this time but only because we did IVF and the embryo was genetically tested.
That said, my hcg levels were higher and doubled faster with my boys vs. with this pregnancy that's a girl.

I agree with everyone else, it's not reliable. I have three boys and with my middle and youngest I had positive tests at 8-9dpo. They were faint but there then they darkened quickly thereafter. With DS1 I didn't test until AF was due so no idea how early I would have gotten a positive but when I did finally test it was quite dark.
HPTs just cannot tell you baby's gender (would be nice though!).

My DD had such a faint line to begin with, I had to keep retesting every day until it looked like a proper line!
Whereas with DS the lines were so dark and clear 1 day before I was due on.
I went on to have 48 hour bhcg tests and my little girl was definitely on the lower side whereas DS was so high I thought I might be having twins!
This current little one is the same pattern as DD so I’m hoping and praying with everything I have that she turns out to be our rainbow princess xxx

Hey, thanks Atomic for your reassuring message. I’m feeling a little better health wise although the thrush medication wasn’t helpful at all, I think it actually made things worse…?! Of more...
