Scan at 7 weeks 4 days
I had a Scan at 7+4. Atomic can i pick your brains!
They seemed to suggest only 1 baby but i am concerned..
It says following Adjacent to sac there is a well define area of low level echos measuring 19x17x13, suggestive of an area of haemorrhage. No obvious yolk sac seen within.
Am i right to assume there is just 1?
Sonographer wos v like can never tell. Midwife you see after about scan findings seemed clear that there wasnt.
Unsure
Main baby was 10mm CRL

It sounds to me like there is one baby and a subchorionic hemorrhage (which is very common) I'm not an expert though. I would listen to the midwife. The sonographers are not supposed to tell you diagnostic things so she was probably just delaying the conversation so the midwife could have it with you.
Can you go over the supplements you're taking?? We want the SCH to clear up and so we may need to have you wean off any supplements that may thin your blood too much.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hi atomic at the moment i am only taking 400ug folate.
This is because i have been diagnosed with HG and been very seriously ill.
Is haemorrhage due to blood being too thin?
Might make sense as when i was hospitalised they gave me blood thinner jabs and then i started spotting (which is prob due to haemmorhage area) its all stopped now tho, spotting etc. And baby was fine on scan.
When i can ill be taking Santogen mum2be and the folate at 200. But this could be a while off.
Thank u for your help x

Oh ok that's good. I"m sorry to hear about the HG though.
Yes that's definitely what we've found, people taking large amounts of blood thinners can have SCH but it will usually resolve itself. I just wanted to make sure you weren't taking super high doses and also that you didn't suddenly stop taking them cold turkey.
Feel better soon!!!!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
