Hand, foot and mouth disease?

This virus is spreading around my very small town, and I am afraid my son may be coming down with it. He has a fever right now. I am wondering if anyone has had this while pregnant? I am worried it could harm the baby if I catch it.

I had it in my second trimester with DS2. I got it on my hands and feet but not my mouth. It didn't really affect me much. I'm not 100% sure about the effects in the first trimester...maybe google it. Here's hoping you've already had it when you were little!! xoxo

Thanks, DM! Is it something you only get once? If so, then DS already had it when he was about 2, and I guess he can't get it again? I didn't catch it when he had it then, either.
