Jan 2016 TTC / Testing - New Year BFPs!

I would say it is ok to just brush it well until you can get to a dentist. My filling came out last year and I left it almost 4 months before I got it it fixed... I was a bit distracted by the whole miscarriage thing and it came out while I was pregnant.

I'm wondering it it is possible I already ovulated, i doubt it because I normally can tell when I do but maybe my symptoms weren't strong if it was early. I had a bit of O pain around cd14-15. This is why temping is so useful but it stresses me out although then at least I know where I'm at in a cycle!

Purple, thanks so much for your input. Was it a big filling? Mine was very deep & quite large, 1/3-1/2 of my tooth. I can't stop touching the sharp edges with my tongue. So you didn't end up losing a tooth or anything?

Do you have any complete past charts I could look at? That would help with determining if you've Oed. Are you temping vaginally? Your temps seem a bit low plus no fertile CM...I'd be inclined to say you haven't Oed yet.

Maidentomother I have no CM, is that not more common before AF? I thought it was suppose to dry up? so that is maybe a good sign for you???? AF is like the worst, complete evidence that your not pregnant and as if that is not bad enough it is painful and a real bother to have to deal with! I am not sure if I am going to try next cycle. I was not planning to get pregnant so soon, I was planning to get on the diet a few months, do my research and then try. Now am confused because I now feel that I have missed out, even though I did not plan it, it sort of makes me keen to try again. I am still hopeful for you Maidentomother you had alot more symptoms than me. I had cramping before I got a positive pregnancy test with DD, I had CM as well and as I knew nothing about pregnancy at that stage I thought I was having a mc!

Anyone else really disappointed that the timing idea for swaying girl or boy does not work? I think the more I read about swaying, the more I think there are so many variables that interact that it is nearly impossible to predict.

I so hope you're right! I'd love to get a BFP this cycle, especially since I probably won't be able to test until around Valentine's Day. I have that paranoia too of what if I can't get (or stay) pregnant. After my losses last year, I have this nagging fear that if I do end up pregnant, I'll miscarry again. I hate having negative thoughts like that but I can't help it. Fingers and toes crossed I'm wrong and that we'll both get sticky BFPs soon!!

Girlie I hope you get a BFP soon! Getting AF is always so disappointing, especially when you thought there was a good chance of being pregnant. :/ I'm actually kinda glad timing doesn't sway because it would be SO frustrating to try and time DTD. There's really no way to accurately predict O down to the day, not even with OPKs. There are a lot of variables that decide boy or girl but the strongest sway tactics seem to be (for blue or pink) diet, exercise, and number of attempts. I think it's much simpler looking at it that way rather than worrying about timing or pH or minerals or whatever else they're doing over at IG. It is scary knowing swaying isn't a guarantee but it at least helps to tip the scales in our favor. :)

Girlie, I think it varies quite a bit from cycle to cycle and from woman to woman. I personally usually have a fair bit of CM most of my cycle. I have more CM in early pregnancy and sometimes I notice a small increase and/or shift to thinner, more fertile CM right before AF. So like my temps it could go either way. Remember I'm on fertility meds so all my symptoms could be a result of them. Plus since I have never cramped in pregnancy before, I just can't help but feel cramping is a bad sign for me.

I agree with you about AF, it is a real downer when TTC. I have severe cramps the first day too. Plus it's a reminder that I may have to wait 3+ weeks until I O...

I agree with ksmom that timing is too much of a hassle for me to wish it worked perfectly. But of course I would love an easy trick that guaranteed gender, like BD position or something. :D

Girlie, I definitely think 3 months minimum on the diet (plus cardio if possible) will greatly enhance your chances so worth waiting if you aren't pregnant currently (and I totally understand feeling disappointed if it turns out you aren't). How many kids/what genders do you have? If you already have 1 DD you may not need to sway as hard as others.

ksmom, I can't imagine going through 2 losses so close together and while swaying. I really hope you've 'used up' your lifetime portion of losses. I know it doesn't necessarily work that way but I think it is unlikely that your next BFP won't stick.

Thank you Maiden. :) I really didn't think I'd have back to back losses, especially since I've always had relatively easy uneventful pregnancies. I'm actually glad I didn't get pregnant last cycle so that my body could have a bit of a break and have a regular AF. I know the odds are probably low I'll have another loss, but I also know I'll still have that doubt in the back of my mind, worrying me and wondering "what if?"

Attachment 29299 I wanted someone to look at my chart see what you think? I think I may be out this month temp went back up this am but Im confused on when I O because fertility friend changed it. I know that I had first pos NYE peak the next 2 days. I should be the same 11 dpo today but it says I'm 13?

Gagirl, unfortunately I don't think your chart is reliable because almost all of your temps were taken at different times. I think it's possible you didn't O until CD19 (or later) if you got a pos. OPK then.

Gagirl, how much variation in what time you take your temps? Is it always right after at least 3 hours of sleep? I personally take my temps at different times every morning bc I have an erratic schedule, but as long as I temp after my biggest chunk of sleep I get accurate results. Id guess you Oed between CD12-14, so CD13 maybe? Plus that makes you 11dpo like me! How long is your LP usually?

A secondary estrogen surge on CD17 could be responsible for the positive OPK the next day. What brand OPKs?

Do you usually O early? I think your chart looks great!

Ok thanks this was pic of the opk Attachment 29301Attachment 29301 that I got a couple of days after other ones but I also know for sure the others was were very pos Bc I took to different kind and both were pos 31 1 and 2nd. It all confuses me.

Those aren't quite positive, I'd remove it from your chart. Sounds like you had a nice strong surge!

Maidentomother all of my temps were taken right when I woke up. Would LP be AF-AF ? I usually O cd 13-14. I used CBEA and wondfo. I hope I'm not out yet but if I am it's what is meant to be. Thanks for everyone help.

I agree with Maiden that the OPK you posted isn't quite positive. It is possible to get an OPK like that after ovulation (I had one last TWW). Your LP is the length of time between O and AF, which for most women is between 10-16 days and is usually consistent each cycle.

Gagirl, how long are your cycles usually? That can help us estimate your LP. Very excited for you! Great job BDing too.

Usually they are are 26-28 days and last 4-5 days. Thank you! My husband was wore out. Lol.

meaning AF is usually every 26-28 days.

I understood. :) You probably have a 14 day LP so I wouldn't read TOO much into your temps. You should test on 15DPO, this Saturday, if you don't want to test early. Fx for you Gagirl!

I had a repeat HCG test today, it's down to 20. So hopefully within the next week in will fall below 2 and I can resume trying. Does anyone know after the HCG falls will I ovulate again or should I be expecting another period first? Don't want to waste time doing OPK's if there is no need to.

Gagirl you have certainly put the effort in hope you get a sticky bean. Your same post ovulation date as me, but I feel af will come in the early hours of tomorrow morning!

Maiden still no spotting for you? Is this looking hopeful? I have everything crossed for you. I have one dd and two ds, my dd is my eldest, she was conceived shortly after I got married and I was very thin at that time, that is no longer the case, though I have lost three and a half stone since March last year. I think diet may be a large sway factor for me, so am trying to be sanguine about imminent af and say it will give me a chance to try to sway, if I was pregnant now I would have definitely swayed blue with hints of pink. are you going to test tomorrow? X

I would expect it may be like the cycle after a miscarriage and you would ovulate once the hcg drops. I assume you have passed all the pregnancy tissue?

Mine was only small as it was to fix my front tooth that had a chip come off. It was smooth when the filling came out but when it first happened it was sharp and I kept touching it with my tounge but I got it fixed within a few days then.

I agree I haven't O'd. Probably just wishful thinking that my body might actually work properly on its own.

Ksmom, the latest I have O'd is cd47 but I was averaging cd30 last year until I did clomid 2 cycles ago and it was cd18 then cd 17 the month after clomid.

I'm not. Shettles timing wouldn't work for me as I can't predict when I will O. At least one attempt at opk+ means I can get an attempt in each cycle.

Oh gosh Purple that must be so frustrating to O so late! I get frustrated enough having my O usually between CD25-30. I was lucky enough last cycle for it to be a little earlier than that. Hopefully you O soon so you're not just waiting around to have your attempt.

Tfahn, I agree that you won't O until your hcg has dropped down to non-pregnant levels. Your O might be delayed or it might not be...hard to say. I didn't O until CD28 after my first loss but that's more of my normal. You likely won't have AF before you ovulate since this bleeding you're having is like the start of a new cycle.

Good luck Gagirl!! If you did O around the time FF says, then you got some really well timed attempts in!

I bleed for 3 days, wasn't much tissue that I saw/remember. Also 7 days before that I had bleeding for 3-4 days in what I thought was my period. I wasntnsure if there would be much tissue being a chemical pregnancy and not very far along.

So do most people wait to have a regular period before trying again? Torn on wether I should try if I ovulate this month or just wait until after my next period. This cycle was just really messed up so I don't know.

tfahn, I don't think you'll bleed again until after you O...so hopefully not at all bc you catch the very next egg. The clomid should still have a sway effect along with the loss, so great cycle for pink, so i would definitely not skip this cycle. Try to catch that first egg regardless of how late you O. I personally don't O late after early losses. Fx fx!

Girlie, still no spotting. I had mild cramping in the am, then it went away, and I had moderate cramping in the evening for a few hours before it dissipated again. My sore nipples came back and my breasts feel super tender again. My symptoms are definitely fluctuating, and have been for a few days. It's not just due to fluctuations in my dose of pain meds either, though I'm sure that's a factor. I am now officially late for a natural cycle, but on Vitex my LP was extended up to 14 days and I also had sore nipples/tender breasts most cycles. I'm afraid that since I'm on even stronger hormones now, my LP will be even longer, like 16 or 18 days! I will go insane if that happens and I'm not pregnant. I maaay test tomorrow.

Do you want a 4th child no matter what or are you trying primarily for a girl? I really want a daughter for my first child thus my swaying! It sounds like you could get another daughter without swaying but time on the diet will definitely up your odds a lot.

I was doing a boy sway, but would love either. So hopefully the clomid and chemical don't sway too much :)

It was actually one day earlier, as you can imagine I was pretty happy with that! I thought it might be because of starting metformin but it must have been the clomid from the previous month.

If I start clomid in Feb / March I might do one on and one off to save some money.

Oops tfahn I'm so sorry I forgot! In your case I WOULD skip this cycle and wait until the next since you're swaying blue. An early loss shouldn't have as much if any of a pink effect beyond the first cycle after.

purple, that IS even better! I hope alternate cycles work well for you in the future too, if needed (hopefully not). Metformin can really do wonders to move up O.

After my CP I TTC'd the very next cycle. You really only need to wait a cycle if there was some type of intervention like a D&C. Many docs recommend waiting a cycle or two but IMO that is more for allowing the mom to grieve than anything. If the body wasn't ready to support a preg it wouldn't O... obviously in the case of interventions it is a bit different but in a natural, uncomplicated loss (where the body deals with the loss on its own without assistance of meds or procedures), esp. a CP, I think it's safe to follow your heart. wait if you need the time to grieve, don't if you feel okay with TTC'ing right away. Women lose pregs all the time that they don't even know ever existed because they didn't test. The body knows how to handle it, and a natural, uncomplicated loss does no damage to the body (the heart yes, but not the body) so it is really up to you. (((HUGS)))

Yes. This happened to me once before my dental insurance kicked in and was needing to get established with a new dentist in the area I moved to. Also, use a toothpick to gently remove food debris after eating.

Yes or at least too much, if possible. However, some men won't tolerate being told what to do in this department, and if that might be the case then don't worry about it!

FWIW, I didn't regulate my DH in this department and he was glad to have regular sex. Even now, he prefers the E4D, haha!

I overextended myself yesterday physically...couldn't sleep much due to pain. Barely 3 hours. Temp dropped a tiny bit, symptoms still going strong. I will try to wait until Saturday unless something exciting happens,

That's how my DH was and still is! It's nice for me that way if my DH decides he wants #4, I won't have to think about it and have a good shot for pink!

maiden praying for you. you will get your BFP soon. my temp is still up this am but BFN so fx for myself still. would it affect my temp if i woke up at 4:30 am went to potty then went back to seep around 5am and took temp at 7:15?
