Lol, mocha, we're all going to be chuckling about what you're up to at the cottage, watch out for the bears!!!!!
Lol, mocha, we're all going to be chuckling about what you're up to at the cottage, watch out for the bears!!!!!
Hope it goes ok with your guests, ootb, think of lots of girl friendly sides that your guests can have meat as a side(pork in egg and breadcrumbs with spaghetti is a good one). Gl!!!
Indira, I need to stay at my weight too but I still keep losing a little, I'm 7 lb 7 now which is tiny but I can't seem to maintain the weight, it comes off a tiny bit at a time!!!!!
Good luck at the cottage mocha and have fun! (outside the cottage lol!)
Swish I know about the weight that keeps falling off, I never thought that loosing weight can be so easy once you´re on a diet, as I never dieted. I really got used to it too, so I dont have cravings or get really hungry anymore
Good morning to all!
Ok, ever since I Oed, I have found it nearly impossible to stay on the diet. I have been cheating like crazy. I really need to get back on track. It is just so hard thinking maybe, just maybe, the end is in sight! 3dpo now.
I have been doing the high calcium. I just wanted to be as different from when i concieved my boys as possible and I suspect my calcium may have been low at those times.
Midmorning: glass skim milk
Midday: 2 slices low salt bread with a little diet pb, glass skim milk
Supper: half a thigh of bbq ckn, couple asparagus, beans, glass skim milk
Snacks: few cookies, 2 nibs, 2 squares of chocolate, 4 ww ritz crackers with little spinach dip
Mocha- Have a wonderful time away! LOL! I can't wait to hear the great stories....LOL! Hopefully you don't come back with any threesome tales.....you know, you, your DH and the local black bear  Take Care and I'll be sending many EGG meets PINK SPERM thoughts for you~~~~~
AFM- The nasty side of my temperament has started to show.....lack of patience, grumpy, yelling.....I hope that this diet gets easier soon because my family is seriously going to hate me. I have minimal patience as it is....Anybody know of any books on taming a fiery disposition?? I don't think my red hair helps any either.... I really hope I get pregnant when I want to...Sorry for the rambling.....it's been a long day and it's only 9am here.
LOL, everyone. I'm not leaving for the cottage until Friday, so you have to put up with me for a few more days before I go. I'm sure I'll be back now and then over the weekend anyway since I'll probably start freaking out about my attempt last minute as usual. I have quite a kit bag to bring: supplements, Rephresh, Sylk, girl-friendly food and snacks, etc. I'm hoping the increased time I'll be spending in the great outdoors might help my sway, but I'm a little worried that I'll get mosquito bites in unmentionable places! :suprise: I can't tell you how excited dh is to have secret, outdoor sex!
Mocha, Let's hope this is a successful month or dh will be wanting this every month!!!
I did mean 7 stone 7!!!!! I'm naturally small and was 8 stone 4 to begin with eating whatever I like but I really can't lose any more. Dh keeps telling me I looked better before which I know but I don't need reminding!!!! Will definately be changing up my diet next cycle but feel fearful of putting on too much and making by body feel times are good again, it's such an impossible juggling act!!!
Ladies, I feel so lethargic today. I had a coffee earlier then attempted to tidy up some toys but I was too exhausted and ended up going to bed! I haven't taken a nap during the day in forever. Do you think it's just the crappy diet I'm eating with very little nutrition or perhaps not enough protein? The only supp I'm taking at the moment is Saw P. I managed to wake up enough to collect the boys from school and we've just finished dinner but I'm still struggling. I thought I'd feel better after a nice big bowl of pasta but I didn't so I had a sweet cup of tea - still no joy. Luckily the boys are tired too so we're just chilling :D
ive only been on the diet for between 6-7 weeks so still early on but i can imagine how you feel, i was on the wii fit earlier and did one of the body tests and i scored really bad and wondered if it was a lack of sugar and variety of food that hasnt helped or just im rubbish at it ha ha
This is my 7th week too twinkle! I eat lots of sugar though :D
I have had LOTS of days like this, I'm sure it's the lack of protein, the odd 'normal' meal keeps me sane!
I can't stop eating today!!!
No breakfast
Lunch cous cous with cucumber and green beans, actimel, frozen yogurt, strawberries
Dinner courgette risotto, frozen yogurt, ww ice cream
Can't stop eating the frozen yogurt, I must not buy it again!!!! It is NOT girl friendly!!!
I know why you can´t stop eating swish!
Don´t want to get your hopes up, but when are you going to test??
I wish you were right, I just know af is on it's way, I've got all my usual signs. I think I'm 10 dpo now so I'll test on Sunday if no af!!!!!
Indira, she's being incredibly restrained! When is AF due swish?
Here's my day:
Breakfast: Just coffee
Lunch: Wrap with cucumber and tomato, balsamic vinegar and feta cheese (this is my new current fav!), 2 caramel rice cakes, a peeled apple and 2 boiled sweets.
Dinner: GF Pasta with kids pasta sauce and parmesan. 2 custard cream biscuits.
Snack: 1 mini pitta bread with cucumber and pepper sticks and 1/4 tub sour cream and chive dip.
I wasn't going to have a snack today but I was hungry and tired ... I still came in at under 1500 cals, 38g protein and 950mg sodium.
Af due on Sunday I think but still confused by when I ov. The last few cycles 2 ww has been more like 12 days. Do you use tesco wraps? What about feta, is it full fat? I like the sound of that lunch!!!
I used a Tesco Healthy Living wrap this time - 180 cals, 5.2g protein, 200mg sodium. A Discovery corn tortilla is better at 119 cals, 3g protein and 180mg sodium. I think I bought Tesco organic feta cheese (full fat). I only have 20g which is 55 cals, 3.2g sodium and 267mg sodium. Just 10g of feta sprinkled on a salad makes it far more tasty! Fingers crossed for some good news this weekend then :D
Yum, I'll be off to tesco tomorrow! Really don't think I am and I knew quite early with ds2 (later confirmed by no af and test), just don't feel same this time
swish - it's all so confusing because signs that af is coming are so similar to signs that you're pregnant. I'll keep crossing my fingers for you!
My plan to have a strict diet day didn't work so well. We went to the farmer's market this morning and we ended up getting Moroccan food. I had 1/4 of a Mahajeb (a flat bread stuffed with spinach and feta - I usually eat a whole one for a meal, so I thought maybe 1/4 wouldn't be too awful), and I also had a few unsalted pita chips dipped in very garlicky hummus. I have no idea of the nutritional info of any of it, so I won't be able to keep careful tabs today after all. I think once you break from the diet once or twice it becomes way too easy to cheat...and soon I'm off to the cottage where it's going to be super hard to keep to the diet (though I'm going to try my best).
I am trying hard to stick to my daily routine...Here it is
I get up at 5am do not eat till 11 or 12
Lunch: 2 slices of low cal/low salt bread with a dab of unsalted butter
Dinner: 1 cup of calcium pasta with a lil parm and ms. dash
Snack: air-popped popcorn with a dab of unsalted butter
My drinks are tons of cl and diet pepsi!
oops...I am about to be bad....my boss just bought me a decaf skinny vanilla latte.....at least it is a small one......
I am dying without snacking...I am way under calories with just eating
decaf coffee and a nutrigrain bar 4 hours after I get up
a smal corn tortilla with hummus and zuchini and 2 rice cakes (no salt)
serving or 2 of pasta with ricotta cheese....
smart water or cl
maybe some strawberries/raspberries in between.
HELP!!!!
Here's my day today:
Breakfast: coffee
Lunch: 1/4 of Mahajeb (Moroccan flat bread stuffed with spinach and feta), a handful of unsalted pita chips dipped in gloriously garlicky hummus
Supper: 2 servings of rice pasta with 1/4 cup of low sodium tomato sauce and 20g of parmesan, Weight Watchers lemon cake, 2 Peek Freans Lifestyle Cookies
Snack (3rd meal): light vanilla ice cream, strawberries, raspberries
Calories: 1206
Protein: 33.4g
Sodium: 628.5mg
It turned out to be not too bad a day. I'm not positive on the nutritional makeup of the Moroccan food, but I found some info on a similar thing online that just didn't have the feta, so I added in the nutritional info for the teeny bit of feta that was in it. The only really bad thing I ate was that hummus, which was so garlicky I can still taste it 10 hours and 2 tooth brushings later.
mydream - sorry you're having a rough time. I have trouble getting my calories up, but I've started adding lots of sweets to my day and I'm getting a bit higher. If I eliminate sweets, I end up with 800 calories a day, which I couldn't live on long term. I do snack in the evening a few hours after supper, but I've started to look at it as my 3rd meal (which is allowed on the diet) so I don't stress about it too much. I still have low blood sugar all night and morning, then all afternoon.
so we can add sweets in? what types are you adding in ?
Mydream- I, too, have a third meal in the day. I try not to eat until at least 11am and then my next mini-meal is at 2pm and then dinner at 6pm. I have nothing to eat after this point, but I do have a tea in the evening(black tea with cream/sugar) and I find that it fills me up:) I've also had sweets here and there just for something to chew/suck on as it helps get me through the day. I think that after 3 weeks on this diet it won't be nearly as hard as it is right now for us. Our stomachs will be smaller, we'll be in the swing of things and on our way to getting pregnant.... hopefully with a girl!!!!
I just read your siggy and I'm sorry to read that HT didn't work for you:( I hope that either way(swaying or HT) you get your girl :HH: :luck:
Oh ladies, I am feeling so rubbish today! My temp dropped sip knowvaf is on the way and I feel sooooo fed up! I'm grumpy and I have no patience. Right now I wondering if I can do this for another 5/6 weeks. This morning when o weighed myself I was another lb lighter and I just don't know how to increase the calories, plus I'm worried I'll sway boy by putting weight back on. So fed up!!!!!!!!!! Rant over....
Oh swish - I was exactly where you are a week ago. You can do it - I promise. It's sooo hard to face another month (or more) of the diet, but once you get back into it, it's ok. Atomic assures me that weight loss will level out eventually, but in the meantime I'm allowing myself a few more treats and trying harder to find real, tasty food that fits in with the diet. I just couldn't face another month of nothing but rice cakes and pasta with parmesan. Take a night or two off and eat some of the foods you've missed the most - it'll make you feel better, I promise. If you need to, loosen your standards for the diet a bit. I've had garlic a couple of times and I'm not even feeling horribly guilty about it. Think about all the countries where they eat garlic non-stop, and all the girls they have there. I'm also going to change my attempt slightly so I don't make it too hard for those spermies to get in (way less Sylk, less Rephresh, etc.)
Weight loss sways hardest, I think, and you and I have both achieved as much as we can there. I'm sure that next cycle will be the lucky one for both of us! :HH:
As long as you avoid the big no-nos (chocolate, gelatin, etc.) and stay within the calorie guidelines I think just about anything goes. Personally, I always have tons of room for extra calories, so I eat a lot of full sugar sweets, but you could stick to sugarless stuff if you're worried about calories. I have cookies, Weight Watchers snack cakes, light ice cream, frozen yogurt, gelato, candy (Sour Patch kids, etc.) and lots of other ladies indulge in sweets too. When you talk to girl moms, you'll often find that they have quite a sweet tooth!
Aww, swish, I'm gutted for you too. Damn that temping for letting you know what's coming! Is there any chance it's wrong? You can do it, I know you can x
Here's me today:
Breakfast: None, just coffee
Lunch: Jam sandwich, grapes, cheese & onion hula hoops, bakewell tart!
Snack: 3 caramel rice cakes
Dinner: KFC night! Regular fries and corn cobette.
swish, I´m sorry you´re feeling that way. I converted your weight and I´m just a little bit under that, I have the same problem trying to maintain it without slipping into good times boy territory.
Maybe we had our attempt yesterday (don´t know yet if I really ovulated) but I´m feeling very negative about it today, so I´m wondering now how on earth I´m going to eat low everything without loosing more weight for at least another month!
I have a small portion of chicken, fish or egg :worry: every evening now, otherwise DH will proclaim a BD strike. I have less milk and yoghurt during the day to keep protein within limits. I eat some more fruit and sweets and had a piece of strawberry pie today since I had relatives visiting. Really enjoyed that
Didn't have time yesterday to post my day...so here it is:
Lost the sheet with my meals written on it but here's my totals- 1210Cals, 57Protein, 36Fat, 900Sod.
I went way over on Protein because I was seriously not feeling well yesterday afternoon so I opened a can of Salmon and had the whole damn thing...!!! LOL!
Today has been much better though.
So far:
Tea w/cream&sugar
Salad with 1oz chicken and 1oz shrimp, balsamic vinegar and tatziki.
I'm having a major craving for full fat yoghurt right now... I may indulge in a bit for my 2nd meal....we'll see :)
I couldn't help myself and stepped on the scale this am....I'm down 3 lbs...Holy shnikeys!
And Zanacal- I seriously want KFC now.....yummmmm:)
Thanks ladies! Zani, I know, stupid temps, been confusing me all along, wish I hadn't done them at all! Thank you, mocha, it's comforting to know you felt that way but are now nearvto trying again. I've decided to have 2 normal meals a week, to help with weight and to help me feel cheerful!!! Indira, we'll have to think of things to eat together!!
Well done, doula, on the weight loss!!!! Today went like this with ALOT of tutti fruitie sweets!
No breakfast
Lunch cous cous with green beans and cucumber and feta cheese, yogurt, actimel, strawberries
Dinner mushroom risotto, frozen yogurt (used up the last of the choc frozen yogurt as I couldn't resist it in my freezer. Also gave some to ds1, he loved it!!)
I think having 2 normal meals a week is a great idea. It's the general eating trends that make a difference anyway - eating a taboo food once in a while doesn't make a difference, I'm sure. What's most important is that you find a way to keep yourself happy so you can keep doing the diet.
