I would probably count it as the next day. The good news is that the Clomid is way more forgiving than people think and so it really doesn't matter if you are a day off in either direction.

:agree: just wanted to double down on this for other posters, since in this case it did turn out to be pregnancy...most of the time you won't get a positive OPK until AFTER a missed period so if you're getting a pos OPK 7-14 days past ovulation and getting all excited about it, please hold your applause till you have missed a period and also had a positive on an HCG test ideally.
Mrs English!!!!!!!!! This is the best. Congratulations what fantastic news

Can Clomid/Femara give misleading OPK results during cycle?

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to say, I got my BFP a few days ago! I’m over the moon as I honestly thought I was out this month. My hubby was booked in to have a sperm anaylisis due to his age, and I just got the overwhelming urge to test. It was a squinter at first but hardly got darker as the days went on. We’re thrilled!
I will post my sway when I’m out of the ‘danger zone’ as we all know too well that things could turn in a blink of an eye. However I remain positive!
The only things I feel nervous about are the attempts. As I posted earlier on, we had several attempts around ovulation as we just weren’t falling quick enough and I had no more Clomid being prescribed. Also, I introduced the PCOS girl diet in the week of ovulation so I had a tad more protein and fat, I introduced some chicken & eggs.. but overal I’m happy!
Thank you for all your support guys.. it’s proceless.. il be in touch!
Xxx
Woohoo xtina I'm so happy for you!!
Wishing you the very best of luck for a healthy pregnancy and tons of pink dust!!
Should I do jump and dump and a hot bath for DH with my attempt?
Only have clomid for this and next month.
Question about ovulation:
Last month (per OPK) my surge was on CD10 without Clomid, the month before that, CD12 while on Clomid. I'm taking Clomid again this cycle, days 3-7. If I wait five days after my last pill to start the OPK, that will be CD12, and I'm worried I could miss my surge. But I know Clomid can cause false positives, so I'm afraid if I start doing the OPK too early, it could be wrong, we have an early attempt, and I don't want to add more.
Atomic, thoughts? If you're thinking E4D, would you think start early, considering my last surge at CD10? (I'm currently on CD7.)
Thanks for any advice!
In Spain I can’t find clomid only Omifin. The pharmacy says it’s the same as it has clomiphene, anyone knows if is the same?
You will not O on CD 10 after stopping Clomid CD 7. It will inihibit ovulation until the 5th day after stopping it at the absoulte earliest. Your non-clomid cycles don't really tell you much about Clomid cycles.
You don't have to wait till the 5th day to start the OPK. Start the 3rd day fter stopping Clomid and generally the Clomid will no longer be making false positives by then. If you do get a positive that day, have an attempt just to cover but it's probably a faker.
If you want to do e4d I'd have you start that the day after stopping Clomid and just keep going with it. I like you guys to be settled in on the pattern before you could ovulate so you're not tempted to try and jockey it around to try and get it to fall on a particular day. Then just keep going with it. I would suggest not even doing OPK with e4d so you aren't tempted to try to get your attempts to fall any particular way.
So if I got my surge on CD 12 my last cycle of Clomid, this cycle may be totally different? Bah! If it was the same, that would be exactly 5 days after stopping, which you're saying IS possible, but early for Clomid?
I feel like I should try one more Clomid cycle doing one attempt, then if it doesn't work, I'll do E4D the next cycle (my last Clomid cycle). I would really like to be successful with the one attempt.
I'll start taking the OPKs 3 days after my last pill. I actually didn't get any false positives with the OPK last time, before the surge on CD 12, so hopefully I'll have the same luck this time. :fx:
Thank you!!!
Do you have your period while you are on clomid or femara? Is omifin 50 ok? Or should be less? Is only for swaying pink, we don’t have problems to conceive . Thx
Thank you!!! I’m incredibly nervous. My best friend is a bit further along than me & just found out she’s having a girl. Having done nothing to sway at all! If anything she was swaying boy!
I just hope & prey Iv done enough to increase my chances 😬
Here’s to a healthy & happy nine months!!
I know, it's so irritating when that happens but the reality is, most people have a boy and a girl or a girl and a boy just that easily, they get pregnant twice, doing nothing obviously any different, and get different outcomes each time. :)
Hi everyone!! What ovulation strips do you use? I already got my clomid (omifin) and start the diet in 1 week... will try to conceive in december-january. Is the LE diet the same as LEPCOS diet? Thx
Most people use Wondfo, Babi, or Clearblue.
No, LE Diet and the PCOS version are not the same. They're both LE Diet (have about the same limits of cals, protein, fat) but the PCOS-type LE Diet has higher protein and fat intake and uses healthier carb sources - whole grains, fruit, and veg instead of sugar and white flour.
Hi Atomic! I'm in Clomid cycle #2 (days 3-7).
We BD late night on CD 11 (based on logistics of DH being gone and I didn't want to miss it).
I got a positive OPK on the morning of CD 12, all day, followed by another dark positive OPK on CD 13 (I use the strips). Day 12 I had mild cramping, and Days 13 more severe cramping for several hours, which is finally dissipating today (Day 14). I'm not temping, so I can't be sure of when I actually ovulated. Is it possible to get cramps like that AFTER ovulation?
The upside is there was ample EWCM, so even though it was early-ish, maybe it helped. Also didn't J&D.
Agh sorry I missed this JJ. YOu can have cramps after ovulation, absolutely. I often do. But I would still have attempt again just to cover in case O is delayed.
It has to do with a) the fact that we really don't know how any of this actually works and b) the origins of one attempt.
in the early days of the site, no one had guessed that number of attempts swayed pink. So we were having people keep going doing things like timing, frequency, antihistamine, jelly/douche, supplements, all of which cut odds of conception hugely, and had them add attempts to get pregnant. This was our lowest success rate of the site for pink - 58%. Our results showed us that none of those things were even working - same number of people got girls with and without them.
Thankfully, we just happened by chance to keep track of the number of attempts people were doing and realized something very shocking...people who got pregnant from just one attempt had 70-75% success rate (depending on the month the number went up and down a little but in that range) This fell all the way down to 60-65% with 2 attempts, and then plummeted to 40-45% with three attempts. This was all in people who were doing tons of other things (all of which we proved were totally neutral in results, not swaying pink or blue) to sway pink and having otherwise great sways.
And in the meantime, LE Diet and exercise were clearly working! It was a huge puzzle and the only solution to the puzzle appeared to be that number of attempts was swaying strongly in some way we still do not understand.
So once I noticed that (because at that point in time we were all desperate to understand what we could possibly be doing wrong to get such terrible results!) I started having people reverse course, keep one attempt as long as possible and drop the other stuff (which again, was not working) to boost odds of conception with the one attempt. Our results IMMEDIATELY within the span of like 2 months, did a 180 and went up and up and there it has stayed since.
Long story short, one attempt has completely proven itself to me. I don't know how or why it works, but I do believe based on all that, that it DOES work. Our results have declined on one attempt over time but that is because (IMO) a LOT of people fudge on other things, start trying too soon, etc and now rely on one attempt to carry the day for them. But having seen that history I still maintain (and likely always will unless I get some hard data disproving it) that one attempt is best for pink.
Now, e4d is what I consider to be one attempt. But the thing is we don't know how or why one attempt even works. And we don't have the same quality of data on e4d to prove to me that it is really as shizztastic as the one attempt is. So, I don't trust the e4d anywhere near as much as I do the one attempt and so I can't in good conscience have you guys start off with e4d except for the handful of people for whom that makes the most sense, of course).
As it sits here and now based on 10 years of results and observations I believe one attempt is more proven reliable than e4d is and thus that is why I recommend starting off with one atttempt and only going to e4d after at least 2 months with one attempt. :)
Hi ladies, how are you all?
I’m now venturing into my 7th week of pregnancy and have an early scan booked for this Monday! Woohoo ..
So my question is, shall I ask the u/s tech what side my placenta has started forming for Ramzi guesses? Or is Ramzi just rubbish ?
Thanks guys!
After having seen people send Dr. Ramzi $10 to guess on their ultrasound and he guessed wrong, and learning that Ramzi never published his "study" for independent review, I can no longer believe there is anything to it at all and suggest not even bothering with it.
We need pix! LOL!! FXFXFX :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Well obviously by "I'll test again tomorrow", I meant "I'm going to buy another one immediately and will test today." Which I did. BFP again!
I'm going to enjoy this moment, before I start to freak out, just at the very notion of having four children. Whose idea was this anyway? :D
Ha ha! I feel ya there! Even though my older ones are adults they still need a lot of time, let alone the little ones, and some days I'm like "I want MY mom for a change, LOL"
Hi girls ..
Unfortunately I have misscarried my little one at 8 weeks. It was a silent miscarriage and only picked up on a scan yesterday. I’m sad. Can’t really think about my next steps etc, but keen to try fairly soon again...
How long should I wait until we can actively start trying again? My doc wants me to try naturally for a few months before starting Clomid again, and if I’m totally honest, I feel so nervous about Clomid.. I can’t help but think I did something wrong... I know it’s not the case , but anyway, do you think maybe this miscarriage will kick start my cycles back to normal? Are you more fertile after a loss?
Thank you for all your support through this xxxx
