Skipping breakfast and avoiding red meat may help a little but I do recommend having a look at the LE Diet here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...l-version.html as you'll get better results if you make a few more changes than just those two things if at all possible.
Upping dairy is a huge area of controversy. Most of us on here, myself very much included LOL got our boys doing the high dairy and that's why we started this site, we were looking for a better way to sway. Newer evidence is indicating that the claims of the mineral balancing diets just can't be true, and the best study ever done on diet and gender conceived (and in fact the ONLY diet done by someone who was NOT selling a miracle mineral diet) found that moms who went on to conceive boys ate more nutrients across the boards, including calcium and magnesium. So we have a compromise, if you believe in minerals then please do JUST cal-mag supps wihtout added Vit. D, and do NOT up dairy intake beyond a couple of servings a day. Because dairy foods are loaded with calories, fat, protein, and other nutrients all of which may undermine your sway. (I got all 4 of my boys with tons of dairy, my 3rd and 4th I was swaying pink and taking tons of cal/mag on top of that, then dropped dairy and supplements to get my girl)
We base our diet on newer dietary theories about swaying gender. (that lowering nutrients sways pink, while eating more nutrients sways blue.) The other sites simply repackage the same mineral diets again and again. I have a closer look at minerals and LE Diet here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...s-edition.html
Many of our swayers have PCOS and/or thyroid. That's practically the norm around here, LOL. We have a couple variations of LE Diet that is better for PCOSers in this thread. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...rt-3-pcos.html
We have given up on practically all the sway supps. They have not worked, really cut odds of conception HUGELY, and additionally can really mess up people's cycles, delaying or even stopping ovulation.
Hubby does NOT need to do diet but if he were to cut back on red meat, ALL meat, even possibly go vegan, and add in soy foods or milk daily 12-48 oz (this is not right for every guy so please investigate before adding this) it may help.
We have gotten best results with LE Diet 12 weeks or longer plus fiber, coffee, and alcohol (and of course everyone should take folic acid or folate), cardio exercise 60 min a day 4-7 days a week (more may be better but take care not to lose too much weight), one attempt/e4d method, and Clomid or Femara if you can get them. For your hubby, smoking and jogging/biking are proven to help. Him upping coffee intake, drinking alcohol, doing the soy foods as described, and taking Olive Leaf extract ~may~ help.
