Oh and welcome 3sacharm!! :)
Hey ladies
My first attempt will be next cycle! (Sept). I Will be starting clomid on cd3 and am doing a PCOS girl diet. To be honest I'm really just hoping for a sticky bean of any gender because we've been ttc for nearly two years and haven't had a single bfp!!
Just a quick question..I've been stocking up on opks and I *think* I've got the gist of it but when is the best time to test? On the instructions it says between 10am and 8pm but what have you guys found to be the best? Thanks :-) x
I've read morning is best! Between like 8am and 11am! The first pee of the day before breakfast! Just cuz it's not as diluted with food and water or drinks from the day, so it the most potent so to speak? This is when I test. But I also test all throughout the day when I get ewcm. I'll test every time I pee till I eventually get a positive. That way I really pinpoint that surge the moment it happens!
Most women hit the surge in the evening, so it's recommended you test twice a day- once around 11am (2nd pee) and once around 8pm (a few hours after dinner but not too close to bed). I've heard if you only use fmu you can actually miss your surge if it happens in the evening and is gone by the next morning. Fmu is the best for hpt.

Thanks guys! Very helpful!!
Well I have been testing this cycle as a practice run and so far no +
Started CD 11 as that what the instructions said! They are getting darker but no way +. Today is CD 14 so I will wait and test between the times you have advised. My cycles have been perfect 28 days for last 3 months so was expecting to O today or tomorrow!
I have bad cramps so fx AND for the FIRST TIME in years actual PROPER egg white CM! I was soo shocked to see it on the toilet paper! Just tested - 11.15am and seems lighter! Meh...
Oh what a learning curve this is!! Hopefully I will know what to expect next cycle during my 1st attempt so I don't get too stressed! X
Hi ladies, I haven't been online in the past couple of weeks. We are currently on vacation and having a great time. LE was on pause for the first week but getting back into my groove now skipping breakfast, fasting and no snacking. I am being as chill as I can about it cause I was the complete opposite with my boys conceptions. We have decide me to 100% go for it this month so I am CD8 right now (CD9 in my regular time zone if I want to get technical lol) and were going to do e4d starting either tomorrow or Friday. I am due to O possibly around Sept 14-16 depending on my cycle, long flights always seem to throw my O off track and my cycle is a little irregular as it stands so we shall have to adjust hope e4d and no stress works lol. Staying away from OPKs as I get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too obsessive and have promised DH I will cut it with my "military style ttc" lol. No wonder I have two boys lol.
Ladies, I haven't been doing my cardio for a couple of weeks but wanted to get back into it when we get home. I haven't been couch potato on holiday as we are walking miles every day in 90 degree+ heat so working up a serious sweat. Do you guys think it would be ok to just resume cardio when we get home on the 8th even if I am due to O later that week or early the following week? I feel like the cheats on LE while on vacation will hurt my sway so want to kinda balance it out. Plus I am wondering if I have gained a lb or two while away, though perhaps I only feel that way cause I just finished AF. I was 122 leaving home which was my lowest adult weight with a BMI of 19.5. I have always been 22.7. I don't feel my sway is very strong other than the changes made to my diet!
I m going to try sept cycle too. I hope u get ur girl
Has2, hopefully you can catch the first egg! :)
Mum23boys, good luck! I've been trying to get my posOPK this cycle but haven't had one even though I'm pretty sure I ovulated. But there were few days I couldn't do the test so maybe I just missed it. Next cycle is my first attempt so hopefully I will get my positive OPK then. Trying not to stress. We will be doing one attempt in fertile window.
Hopper, nice to hear you're having a good time on vacation! You are really close to your first attempt! Very exciting. I don't know what you should so with the exercise, hopefully other ladies can help. Great weight loss, congrats! It's true that e4d is less stressful.
I will have my first attempt in three weeks, unless my cycle is longer. I think I ovulated this cycle few days later than normally. I have lost almost 8kg during these 9,5 weeks on LE. My BMI is 21,1 now. Really happy with my weight. I've been pretty good with the diet, only few cheats. I'm kinda used to the LE but I still miss my food I used to eat lol. I really hope I will get pregnant in first or second try. It would be hard to continue the diet and exercise after few months on it.
My childhood friend just had their 3rd boy. I don't know if they were hoping for a girl. Also my cousin and his wife had their third boy in summer. When people have their 3rd boy it actually takes the pressure off from me. I feel like if I'm going to have a third boy then I'm not the only one. If everyone was having a girl after 2 boys I would be very stressed I think.
Good luck to everyone who are having the first attempt this month!
Thanks ladies! Yeah 2x I tracked O for my two boys, did opks and stressed waiting for a pos opk making me O even later than normal! And I O late anyway lol. Trying to be more relaxed and less Martha ;) I am the definition of a Martha lol. I think e4d was getting good results when I was last on here, we DTD eod or every day when trying for boys! And with changes to my diet (which I only now realise are absolutely huge - when I think of the calories I used to consume daily I am in shock at how much I have cut myself down so hoping it all helps!)
Best of luck September ladies!! 2x it sounds like you have done amazing on the diet, well done!!! 8kg is absolutely brilliant! I was 130 ish when starting in May after going from 142 after having my DS2 in Feb 2012. I was borderline between 121 and 122 before the vacation so around 8lbs in 4 months. The last few were very hard to shift! I used to always be 22.7 and am now 19.5 so I suppose the few cheats on holidays might help me stick at this weight instead of risking O by losing more.
2x I get what you mean bout friends having their 3rd same gender. I was hit really negatively this summer by two close friends getting their opposite after two sames. Both never displayed any GD and were very quick to claim they didn't have any and were happy with their 2 boys and 2 girls respectively. Fast forward to them having their son after two girls and daughter after two boys and they have been so vocal about how they finally got their longed for child. I am happy for them but it kinda feels like if I have another son they will pity me or something cause I am missing out on the experience they are so loving - and that I so badly want! I dunno if that even makes sense lol. Its funny how GD works isn't it, the silliest things can trigger it! I honestly can't imagine life without this horrible feeling but I would love love love to experience it!
