I wish hoping was all it took for us to get what we desire!! I'm hoping you and DH hear boy Quinn31. I think it's hard for some men to not get their boys probably just like us women really want our girls. Someone the other day told me, I wanted to have another baby (she has 2 girls) but the thought of having 3 girls made me not. I didn't know how to take that, lol. I may (most likely if I want to really prepare myself here) end up raising 3 boys and I think I'm ok with it. I know boys at this point and they will all have each other. Would I love a girl? Sure but she may be left out with her brothers too. Either way, I think there's never anything that is for sure easy or guaranteed to be what's best. And when I see a little newborn baby I don't give a hoot about gender I just want to hold and snuggle that baby (and smell them!! lol). :)
Thanks! Hope you hear girl. You're right though, 3 of the same sex could be a lot of fun. I'm comfortable with girls. I just have to get over the stress of dh and his boy desire. I always wanted a girl so I get it though.
Twointow- my dh is obsessed with surprises. He always shows up early when he's coming home from business trips or does other small silly surprises. I think he'll be fine but I might nag it out of him!
Could anyone else feel the top of their fundus at 13 weeks. I can clearly feel the shape of my uterus and the top of it when I lay flat... even weirder it's nearly to my belly button. Baby measured a bit over a week ahead but near the belly button is 16 week territory according to google. This being my 6th pregnancy may account for that but it's an odd discovery considering I am still wearing my pre-preg pants.

Fifth pregnancy here two and I can't feel mine yet at 12+2. I haven't felt around for it for a few days, but when I did it was hard to palate at all. But I do have a certain amount of belly fat in the way atm 🙄😱 lol. Oh well.

I haven't tried at all and honestly never have so I don't even know what I'm looking for. Last midwife appt my uterus measure on track and was definitely below my belly button. I would say at least for the beginning though, those of us that have had a few pregnancies would be ahead of those that haven't. Your uterus stretches at a more rapid rate. Your doc said baby measured about a week ahead?
Oh I do too, lol. I'm at my lowest weight in a year and a few pounds away from my lowest since high school and I am still very much a plus sized woman and about 30 pounds over my doctor's recommendation for my ideal weight.
DH and I are on pelvic rest but well we let things go too far and I climaxed and my lower abdomen suddenly got very, very tight so I layed there and felt and could easily feel the outline. After the uterine contractions settled I could/can still feel it... not AS defined but still palpable and still just below my belly button.

It's not hard to find, particularly after climax as it will be very firm. If it's high enough your abdomen will feel very tight after and be easier to locate. I had noticed my lower abdomen felt firmer before I realized the fundal height bit now that I know where to feel it's easy to feel for the height. It's like a firm mass amisted far less firm surroundings. If you are very fit, with very toned tummy muscles you *may* have an issue locating it even if it's higher though.
My ultrasound yesterday had baby measuring 14 weeks 2 days. I am just 13 weeks today. I always measure ahead hundal height-wise later in preg by about a week but I don't recall baby ever measuring more than a couple days ahead this early! Makes me wonder how big this baby will be!! DS1 was 8-7 and DS2 was 9-3.... God help me if this baby is even bigger lol. They might have to get the jaws of life to get baby out this time if so as DS2 was so tight in there they had to use a vacuum to get him out via cesarean!!

Lol two 😂 im used to having big babies too. Ive noticed my fundal height seemed to measure ahead aswell yet baby is on track as per dates.
I do notice after 'fun times' it gets very firm but ive also had braxton hicks for a number of weeks now which also gives me this firm feeling and can be quite uncomfortable.
Im sure this baby will be around the 9 pound plus mark. Ive had x2 8 and a half and x2 9 and a half babies. Ds2 is hoping to keep his record as heaviest and he was 9 pound 6 😂😂 so me too

Here are my 12-13 weeks scans. I think im leaning towards finding out-unless everyone guesses boy!! Then we can decide if we want to tell or not. We definitely couldn't do the one partner knows and other not-I'd totally mess up. But I'm thinking I don't have to share with friends if I don't want to.

Hmm I'll have to check it out now. I am on the thinner side but certainly mu tummy muscles are not toned now- I have a full baby belly. Two, why are you on pelvic rest?
Ladies, any girls names you've loved and won't be using? I'm stuck. We like different, unique names but that have a romantic or "old school" feel to them. My daughter is Diella and my son is Hendrix. If this had been a boy he was going to be Rockford Jax and I thought for sure Ophelia for a girl but that's out now. Any ideas?!
Lala as im expecitng boy no5 and very unlikely to ever use my girl names (though i would love twin girls 😁)
My choices would be
Evelyne Joyce Anne &
Adelyne Rose Anne or for short Evie & Adele 😁
Not sure about those pics dpike fx for you

Sorry no name help. Our names have been picked out for awhile and we r married to them.
We r on pelvic rest because early on we DTD and I started spotting. Tried again a couple days later (non penetrative ) and had horrible cramps after climax all day long. Talked to OB about it and he felt it wasn't worth the risk and put us on pelvic rest until further notice.

I'm so sorry, Bluebear! That's super difficult, I know. I had big time GD with my third son (swayed hard girl), so I totally know how that feels. Hugs!Quote:
Hi ladies - just wanted to let you know that we found out girl today. I cried a little but I think just for the fact that I'll never have a son now. My husband doesn't want to try for another and have a 3rd girl. Best of luck to those finding out gender soon. I really thought this was a boy. We did pretty much everything to a T from the plan. But I guess God wanted my DD to have a sister!
I had my panorama done at 9w1d. But we were almost totally sure of dates (literally only dtd 1 time that cycle. lol!) so it wasn't huge risk we were off.Quote:
How far along were you ladies when you had your early genetic screening like panorama or Progenity? I'm 10w4d and they were going to do it but want me to wait until after 11 weeks. I'm debating whether to do it on Friday at 11w1d or wait until Monday for 11w4d.
Oh no! Hope you're doing okay. :/Quote:

Loving all these shots!
:awe: pretty baby. I'm no good with gender guess stuff tho...

You guys! I can't stop craving twizzlers! This is not on my gestational diabetes diet I'm sure. Lol
So another uncooperative baby and a not so great sonographer too (more on that later). Here are pics of the babe, I have no clue if any of these give a hint of gender nub. Boo that sucks :( Remind me, are you getting bloodwork or do you have to wait until another u/s for a chance at knowing the gender?

Well, it would have helped if I had loaded the pics in the proper orientation, sorry about that, in my excitement to post them (I just figured out how to use this site on my phone) I didn't take them properly.
Anyhow, so we did the ultrasound, the sonographer asked me what gender my other kids were I told her boy, she immediately said "Well you know this is a boy too then. The odds are against you that you will have a girl." So I asked her how many kids she has, turns out she has 3, all boys. She said that since I did my Harmony blood work yesterday she wasn't going to bother with any 1st trimester screening during the ultrasound because it would be a waste of her time. She was a dandy I tell ya.
But I got to see baby, it's laying on its side and wouldn't budge. My placenta is anterior, which is new for me, I've never had that but after reading that may be the reason for no belly yet and I may not feel the baby move until closer to 20 weeks and the heartbeat can be harder to detect later in the pregnancy. At least that's what I gathered off Google. If anyone else has had anterior please feel free to weigh in, I'd love to hear others perspectives! :)
I don't know all the ppl I know have had babies close to the same size despite gender. Sorry, wish I was more help :/

Sucky u/s tech! Sorry about that. Nobody has ever told me placenta location. I know this baby is practically laying on my cervix though (which explains the pressure I have been feeling) but beyond that I am clueless. As far as movement, I have always felt it early'ish. So based on what you've read I guess mine are always posterior.
Looks like we'll be getting results around the same time. FX you get your dream gender and a clean bill of health for baby.

You could be craving far worse than twizzlers ;) try to use moderation but don't feel you need to deprive yourself. What is going to hurt your sugar more? One here and there? Or a whole bag when you give in and go hog wild?

My dd was 7lb 11 oz and I gained 28 lbs by boys were 10lbs and I gained 55 lbs!! Eating healthy!! Errrr! She was my first so I don't know if that makes a difference
Hmm..so my daughter was my first and she was 7 lb then my boy was second and 10lbs but I gained the same amount of weight with both by the end..my tummy however stretched a ton more with my boy and my belly button is ruined forever. Lol. I'm really curious if this girl will be similar to my first or closer to my 2nd. I guess I won't know..as long as she isn't bigger than my boy we'll be OK I suppose though a solid 8 or 9 lbs sounds nice. Haha
Okay so this prob sounds silly but for my blog I'm doing ALL the gender prediction tests. I'm saying HOW to do them, my results and then once we find the sex I will say wether or not they rang true for me. I would LOVE to know of any test you have heard of that maybe I haven't. So far we have done drano, baking soda, ring test, red cabbage test and Chinese/Mayan calander.
So far every single one had been strong girl answer right away. I either have a tricky little boy in there or the tales ring true for me. I use only FMU.
ANYWAY, Let me know if you have any fun ones for me to add to my blog :)

I was thinking the nub in pic #1 looked more girly.
Not part of this group, but occasionally pop in too see how the gender sways are going and had hoped to join the sept/oct/nov group but no luck so far, maybe I will luck out and need a Dec Group.
Anyway DD#1 had an anterior placenta. It was probably between 17-20 weeks until I could feel her moving. They never had a hard time finding her heart rate except around 10/11 weeks which is kinda early but had an ultrasound the next day and everything was fine. I never really felt her much at all throughout the whole pregnancy like other women talk about (I'm also overweight so that didn;t help) which was really worrisome since I really couldn't get all the moves per day that they wanted you to count. Not sure if is related to the anterior placenta or not but a friend of mine who gave birth 1 day after me had an anterior placenta also and we both had breech babies that didn't turn and have to have c-sections (They didn't catch that I was breech until 39 weeks so it was too late to try all the tricks to get her to turn). Could have been just a weird coincidence but that was my experience. Hope everything goes well for you.
