I asked for it to be done this time since I was found to be positive last time and apparently it has come back as negative which is good news. I'll ask to be tested again at around 32 weeks though as it can come and go. I wasn't tested for it when I was pregnant with ds1. Seems so silly for them not to do it in the UK as it is such an easy test! You can pay to have it done yourself though in the UK, think it costs about £12.
Definitely think I will make more of a fuss this time if they try to put me on a drip to speed things up as it was so unnecessary last time! She hadn't even checked me to see how far dilated I was and I kept saying to her I knew it was close. I think it was about 30 mins from her putting me on the drip to him being born, and when I said I needed to push she looked at me in disbelief and then panicked when she checked me and realised she could see his head!!! I'm really quiet in labour so I think because I'm not screaming she assumed I must be ages away from giving birth!
Hope you get some reassurance from your midwife Suregena, I remember my morning sickness kept coming and going around 9 weeks so try not to worry too much. xx
