Doing an unmonitored, unmedicated IUI at 39 is may prove to be a huge challenge to get pregnant. I am guessing the clinic tried the least invasive and least expensive option for you for the first attempt.

Okay, thanks for letting me know. That sounds about right.
Any updates?
Really hoping you have been able to get some help to talk through your anxieties and perhaps get back on some suitable medications.
Re: the heart palpitations. I developed them in my early 20s and it freaked me out. I did all the same stuff, ECG, wore the heart monitor for 3 days. I was told that they are quite common (which is also what I'm hearing from the number of women that have them on here) and that they are caused by a little cluster of pacemaker cells being in the wrong spot and firing off every now and then. It feels like a skipped beat but it is actually a little extra beat in the wrong spot. Nothing at all to worry about and something many of us live with with NO consequences at all.
Really hope you are doing okay....
Thanks for the reply! :)
Well I am feeling anxious because I'm worried that maybe I'm going into menopause because my periods are starting to get later.
I have decided I don't want to give up on trying to have a child, so I'm really worried about this. I plan to get an ultrasound and get a new doctor to help me with my plans for a baby.
Thanks for the info about the palpitations, I'm glad to hear that it isn't something to be worried about because it is annoying and it does freak me out. I'm a very worried person about health anyway, so I didn't need anything added to my list of fears.
