oh, you poor thing... so sorry it's dragging out for you. :( I don't know if it would prevent implantation - there's a chance I guess, but your body will only conceive again when you are physically ready anyway, stressful as that is. As you know I spotted right up until my AF turned up (bleeding of some sort every day), it makes it all even more frustrating.
perhaps you are destined to get a Christmas BFP
 I've had that before when I've gotten confused and nursed all night on the same side.
We did frequent BD all summer, and BOY did it get old for us too. DH couldn't get into it unless he thought I was, so I had to brush off my acting skills when really dtd was the LAST thing I wanted to do most of the time. He's also not a fan of fr unless I 'help' him take care of himself ever night, and that became a chore too. This time around I'm taking it easier on myself and dtd only after a +OPK (or a nearly +) and just getting him to release once before we dtd.
I thought I remembered that you said you spotted through your first post-m/c cycle. You're right that it makes for a stressful TTC time. For me the spotting isn't every day. I bled up until CD7, then spotted every day up until CD13. After that I had a day with no spotting, then blood mixed in with my EWCM on and off from CD15-18, when I O'd. I had two days with nothing, then very brief an minor spotting on 3dpo, and more spotting on 5dpo/6dpo starting in the evening and ending in the morning. The sporadic spotting is sooooooo confusing because I keep thinking I'm done and back to normal, then BOOM I find brownish red when I wipe again!
Did you have a confirmed O in that first cycle? When did af return?
And as for a Christmas BFP, I wish! Unfortunately, it's going to be a Christmas sway and a January BFP. The thought of trying to stick to the diet when I'm staying with my in-laws for a whole week with no control over meals makes me want to cry. If af returns 4 weeks after my m/c, I'll be due to O on the 26th!
I actually have always had breasts that were to COMPLETELY different sizes and could never find bras that fit. I developed early (wore a c cup in the 5th grade) and my breasts were always so saggy. I had stage 4 whatever the medical term for sagging boobs is (I think thats the worst as far as sagging). And so just this past year I got a lift/implant (the implant was really just to put the volume back that the lift took out and well as make them the same size) and I'm so happy with them but now I'm feeling guilty that it could stop me from breastfeeding this time around but we are not sure of how many children we wanted to have and my boobs were so hard to deal with (I had a hard time with bras, shirts, dresses and just self esteem) so I just didn't want to wait however many years it was going to be before we were completely done.
Well ladies, i broke down and tested today and it was a BFN :(
I'm only 10 dpo, so not totally discouraged, although now all my symptoms have vanished, but sore boobs, but i always get sore boobs either before preg or AF so that is no help whatsoever!
Jaime, glad to have ya along! Good luck!
Mocha, I hope the spotting is still a good sign...keep us updated...maybe it's just implanation bleeding, hopefully?
Jen/OOTB: LOL, you make me laugh so much! Thank you! It's delightful to read all the posts, but yours has been cracking me up. Thanks! Good luck with getting a BFP soon!!
Rainbow, I dunno if it was an infection...not to be TMI, but aren't infections supposedly to be discharge-y? I've never had an infection so not sure if the irriraration was an infection, or just an irriration. It's worlds better now, though I'm still not in any mood to DTD.
Lemon, any news on BFN/BFP? Have you retested? Did AF come? Woman, we need details!!!!
Zan, I am so EXCITED to hear whether you'll be team pink or blue! Hoping you hear :babyf:!!!
Sorry about the BFN auroara - hopefully you'll get that BFP in a couple of days!
Mocha-it felt a bit like period but i guess i had other symptoms too like heartburn. you are 8dpo?
jen-out of curiousity, why are you doing low sugar? i usually eat so low sugar, on the le diet i have eaten so much more sugar and simple carbs than my whole adult life combined! i think i am thinking 1.it is different than what i am used to 2. it will drop my blood sugar drastically 3. a lot of girl moms i know eat like this!
I'm only 6dpo so I don't have a lot of symptoms yet - I have chills constantly, which I had leading up to my last BFP, and I did have heartburn last night, though that could have been the huge bowl of pasta primavera I ate . I also have cramps and I've been on a big cleaning binge around the house, which is SO not me.
amari - everyone approaches the diet differently. If you look at the food I'm eating, it's pretty much nothing but simple carbs and sugar.
Wow, you girls have been busy!
Had to swap my working days this week so haven't been around much. We had DS1's nativity on Monday. He was a King(he wanted to be a pirate but I had to break it to him that was not possible!) and they did so well. My boys are also 2008 and 2010 so looks like the perfect age gap to me!! DS1 is January and DS2 is March and they are both VERY different!
I am 5DPO and feeling a bit crampy today. I think I feel more positive this month than before but can't help feeling that I want it over by Christmas so I can eat real food again at my leisure!
GL to all those attempting and testing. xx
I was always really lop sided when feeding both my sons, they always took a preference to my right as well but after I stopped feeding, they slowly began to look more even (a bit saggy, but even!!). On the whole, my hubby found it quite funny rather than sexy though!!
Thanks for sharing, made me smile. xx
Mocha, I am sorry things are still sorting themselves out and I really have no advice to give you on the bleeding or even if it would prevent implantation but try not to lose hope yet, you never know.. (hugs)
As for Christmas with the in-laws, I too am not at home in control of food or drink... We are in France for Christmas with my mother in law, so I guarantee there will be French cheese and lots of wine and champagne up for grabs. To be honest I am kind of dreading it pregnant or TTC as we cannot eat French cheese or drink when pregnant and they are both rubbish for swaying as well!
Oh, so true maybeoneday. It would be sooooo hard to be in France and not eating gooey cheese and drinking wine!!!
I SO hope all of you trying at the moment get a BFP before Christmas - new baby aside, being able to eat all that wonderful food on the big day would be the best gift! My fingers and toes are crossed for every one of you :D
Sometimes reading on here makes me really nervous because I am really not putting much into the "girl diet" I am just trying to eat in a way that reduces my chances of gestational diabetes (so I am eating very little sugar and starches although I do mess up occasionally). I also feel like I conceived both my boys while on very strict diets with DS1 I was doing weight watchers very strict and had just lost 15lbs in 2 months and with DS2 I was going to a "diet doctor" and taking phentermine and eating barely anything and lost over 15lbs in 1 month. So I'm hoping that it will be enough to do something "different" from what I did with my sons rather than to stress myself out over a specific girl diet. Although reading on here how disciplined you ladies are I'm feeling like a big ole slacker.
Jamie - I think as long as you're doing something different than last time, you're swaying! Don't let the diet details get you stressed - personally, I'm just doing what works for me. What works for you could be something completely different. Besides, health concerns like gestational diabetes are far more important than dieting to sway.
I absolutely agree with mocha. we all do it a little differently. we all ate so differently to begin with before the sway. you have to figure out what feels right for you and what is right for your health. i find that i have to eat breakfast no matter what, so i do! and it is actually my most cals of the day, but i can't really change it. but i still am eating way fewer times a day than i was before the sway. good luck, we're all here to help!
good luck zanacal!!!!!
crossing everything for you...:)
Well, I've pretty much given up hope for this cycle. When I woke up this morning I'm spotting again, this time red with clots and heavy af cramps. At this point I'm praying this is the beginning of af because if it is I might JUST be able to squeak in our attempt before we leave for our trip to the in-laws on the 22nd. I still don't know how we'll manage our attempt if I O while we're there since we're sharing a bedroom with all 3 kids.
This is CD 25 for me, but only 7 dpo (I normally have 26-28 day cycles). Anyone know if it's possible to have a shorter than normal LP in the cycle right after a m/c, or should I assume this isn't af starting and I'll have to wait until my normal 12-13 dpo for her to arrive?
Sorry Mocha :( I would think your lp could be shorter the first cycle after a mc, also considering you didn´t get a +opk, your hormones could be a little messed up right now, just my thinking. I hope you can have another attempt soon and catch the egg :luck: :HH:
I'm sorry mocha, I'm so frustrated on your behalf. FX you get an early AF and an attempt before you go to your MILs. {hugs}
YAY, Zan!!! Replied to your other thread but I'm still riding your high!!! YAY for little pink impending bundles of joy!!! And YAY for you!!!
:babygirl::awe::babygirl::awe::babygirl::awe::baby girl::awe::babygirl::awe::babygirl::awe::babygirl: :awe::babygirl::awe::babygirl:
Yeah...DH knows I can't get into it for sway purposes but it really does seem to help when I grab his @$$, wriggle around and let out some little noises, lol.
M.J….:HH:!!! I know you don’t hold much hope for this cycle and it’s okay to feel that way but I’ll always keep the hope alive for you, okay? Maybe this isn’t your BFP cycle but I’m still cheering you on and keeping the BFP torch alive. Sorry if my words are corny but seriously…That’s what I’m here for…I’ll always keep hope alive for you, even if you can’t.
:hugs::cheerteam:
 Jamie!
Did someone say “control freak”…??? I think I just heard someone calling my name!
Regarding boobs, I completely understand your decision to get the surgery! I was so mortified when I got dressed and looked in the mirror one day! :holysheep: I tried stuffing the left w/6 breast pads and it looked a bit better but things were still off. Now it’s cold weather here so I’m bundled up and no one can tell anymore. I figure it’ll resolve itself when I get preg again. He’s not showing any signs of being done w/BF anytime soon. Boob man, just like Dad!
I think the others shared my opinion on this already but just wanted to reiterate that everyone is different and there’s no one right way to sway…You just do what you can and what makes sense to you. The “perfect sway” doesn’t exist even if others talk about it. There are absolutely NO guarantee what so ever. Our bodies are all different and things that work for me, may not work for you and vice-versa. I know you know all of this already but just wanted to put it in writing for you so maybe you’ll feel a bit better. There are times where I just start 2nd guessing my sway left and right but I’ve been at this long enough to know I just can’t let myself go there b/c it’ll tear me apart and take me to places in my mind that I don’t want to go. Please try not to get down. We’re all feeling the same way on some level. :HH: and :bighug:
Here's the thing...Sugar is really a girl swayers BFF...Lots of empty cals and drops those blood sugar levels nice and low!!! I've been avoiding it though for the most part for a few reasons...
1.) Last year, I completely overhauled my diet and was a super health freak. Among other things, I wouldn't touch sugar b/c it supresses the immune system, promotes inflammation, surpresses the release of human growth hormone (making you age much quicker) & unnecessarily raising insulin levels. I just hate to add it back into my diet now if I can somehow avoid it.
2.) After my m/c, I have come to rethink my personal sway...I want healthier eggies and sugar doesn't help.
Sugar is something that is very beneficial and effective in a girl sway, especially if you're only incorporating increased levels for a few mos. I say USE IT!!! I started adding a bit of sugar into my diet a few nights ago (YAY for candy canes!!!) I won't be doing too much of it or the fake sugars though. I do use stevia sometimes if I really need something sweet however it does sway boy. Oh, well...
YAY!!! 6dpo now! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Yep! Looks like a few of us in this thread are on the same kiddo plan…DS1 – 4/08 and DS2 – 2/10 (A Valentines baby :awe: ) We wanted our little 3/12 bundle but it just wasn’t meant to be. Can’t wait to see what little soul comes along next. S/he will be our caboose, even though we’d love 4 (especially 2 boys, 2 girls). We’ll just be happy w/a 3rd healthy LO honestly! If he’s a boy, GD will just have to disappear, lol. That would be really cool if we all got our 2012 girls the same month!!!
DS1’s nativity sounded really sweet, especially how he was deflated when told he couldn’t be a pirate! Boys are so cute that way…
Have a great time in France! Whenever I’m there, I just have a nice, long morning stroll, going from pastry shop to pastry shop...No joke! Don’t get me started on the cheese! I feel the weight gain just thinking about it!
We took a break from BD last night...Our whole family is sick (DS1 - double ear infection, DS2 ear infection, DH - lost his voice w/bad cold and possible ear infection). I'm okay, though. I just have a scratchy thoat and a bit of a cough. Also we just found out one of our friends has less than 6 mos to live. He's been sick for a while but we've all been trying to stay positive that he could win this battle. Looks pretty bad unfortunately. With all of that going on, we just weren't in the mood. As I'm typing this, I'm really hoping that DH remembered to do a release in the shower this a.m....YIKES!!! I didn't use any RepHresh again today but will squirt what will hopefully be a half tube in tomorrow a.m. The plan is to resume DTD for a few more days. Come on, O!!! Hope I've got a nice, healthy eggie this time!!!
Sorry for all the post bombs above!
Jen & Mocha, I am so hoping we all get our BFPs so we can be due date buddies!! Yay woudln't that be awesome!
I've stayed strong and not tested, yay for waiting until Saturday!! Hopefully a nice suprise Sat morning and that will just make the weekend so exciting!
Hubby has worse timing on matters...when I ovulate I have to cattle herd him into the bedroom, seriously, it's tough to pin him down! When I'm totally not interested, he's all like 'cmon, you know you want to...' yesterday when we were in the kitchen he lowered his tighty whiteys and flashed me....I like, really? Our 4 year son could've walked into the kitchen and seen him do that, LOL....some men....
Then last night after the kiddos were down to bed, we watched "Decoded" on History chanel and I was really into watching it until suddenly my eyes got so heavy, I mean I could not hold them open, and I fell asleep super early (for me) at like 10:30...the last few nites I cannot make it past 10 pm! So maybe this is a good sign?? I've slept from 10:30 pm until 7 am this morning and I feel like I got like 3 hours or sleep or something, I am so tired and can't stop thinking of my bed...this is the most promising sign yet!
And big GRATS to Zan!!! Whoo hoooooooo!
Lol, my DH thinks it's funny to do that - but it reminds me of my children who also think it's funny to get their willy out at any given opportunity! Last night we were doing exercises before bed (DS2 had some major energy to burn so I was getting them to do star jumps and press ups!) and we were having great fun and laughing lots - and then I realised they were laughing so much because they both had their willies poking out. Honestly!
Ok ladies I got my +OPK this morning... We dtd last night...I really wasn't expecting to O until Saturday but it came early...I am not really sure how it all works because I only have one tube, but I hope I am really Ovulating....Let the 2ww start!!!:)
WOOOOOOHOOOOO, Ladybug!!! Hope your wait is short and your BFP comes speedily!
My DH does the randomly getting the willy out thing to (I'm talking in the middle of the kitchen at 3pm when he gets home from work and every other time of day). We got married really young and we are still pretty young so I kept thinking it was just because he is young and that men must out grow that at some point but the more I talk to other women it seems that it never happens. We are working to potty train DS1 (he is 3.5 but has a developmental delay) and he loves to hold his hands out to his sides and see all the ways it can spray (wonderful huh?) and DS2 grabs his every chance he gets and laughs.
