You’re diet looks awesome for conceiving a girl! WTG, Mama! Mmmm...white choc buttons!!!
It's nice to have more people join us here - it's usually just zanacal, swish and me posting every day. You've caught me on a bad week with lots of cheating, but I'm finding that in general I don't have too much trouble keeping to the guidelines and actually find myself struggling to find ways to add calories to my diet without adding protein and sodium. As I said, I'm being bad tonight and having pesto, but it's just because I expect af to arrive anytime now and I'm feeling down. I figure a little cheat (really just the garlic is bad) is better than having a big steak or something like that :).
Here's my day:
1st Meal:
- decaf coffee w/splash of rice milk
- 100% cran juice w/fiber powder
2nd Meal:
- iceburg lettuce w/Morrocan Salad (left-overs from yesterday!)
- rice cakes w/low sodium hummus
- fiber choice fiber supps
3rd Meal:
- air-popped popcorn
- raspberries and fiber smoothie w/rice milk
Total cals - 1384
Fat - 32
Protein - 43
Fiber - 86
Sodium - 677
Awww...thanks OotB. Honestly, I've surprised myself by how strict I've been with the diet. I've never dieted a day in my life and normally have NO willpower whatsoever. I'm trying to make up for the crappy sway I did last time (though it resulted in my beautiful ds3, so no regrets - I just want to do it differently this time).
I find that if anything I've relaxed in my view of the diet over the past 2 months. I've found lots of things that feel like cheats without actually being cheats, and discovered that you don't have to have bland, flavourless meals in order to follow the diet. Some of my favourite experiments: portobello mushroom burger, eggplant parmesan, spinach and ricotta cannelloni. The tricks are portion size, fresh ingredients whenever possible, and careful measuring while making them to make sure you don't exceed your protein and sodium limits per portion. I've even been able to sneak in a few chips now and then while still staying below 1000mg of sodium - that feels like a real treat after almost no salt for so long!
Hello everyone! I'm going to be joining you soon:) Hubby and I will be trying for an end of August/Sept conception(as I'm going to a conference in April next year and the latest I want to fly while pregnant is 35 weeks so we have to ttc after Aug 27). So, with that in mind I'm going to start my diet next week :( ugh. I didn't do the diet hardcore last month but it still sucked. Anyway, I think I'm going to cut WAY back on protein, incorporate way more yoghurt/vegies and some supps. And then pray.....a lot;). I don't know if I should exercise or not....what are you guys doing?
I'll be seeing more you guys soon:) kind of excited but also dreading it- LOL
xo
I didn't add exercise to my sway. I just knew I wouldn't have time for the amount of exercise needed, so I figured it was better to leave it out entirely than to do it halfway.
Oh, and welcome, by the way! :welcome:
Yeah that's kinda where I'm at. Although I did nothing at all exercise wise when I conceived 3 boys....so would adding some work? Who knows. Maybe my T levels have dropped over the last 6 years and I'd be silly to incorporate exercise and boost them when they could potentially be lower than even 2 years ago. Ugh. Decisions, decisions. Thanks for the welcome!
