Yeah, I get a lot of people asking why go hospital this time. But I've had such a terrible time with both of the last two that I'm ready for interventions. For one thing, my water never breaks until the very end, which I know slows down my labors a bit. (I know because as soon as the water does break, everything goes lightning fast! ) I'd love the option of having it broken as soon as it's safe to do so. My kids also have never dropped down...you know how they're supposed to drop a bit in the days before you go into labor? Never happened for me. I have to physically push the whole way. Lazy suckers. lol But because of that, I've never had the "urge to push" either. I have to be told when I'm dilated and can start pushing. Anyway, all around I'm just ready to try a labor with a bit more intervention. I am working with midwives vs an OBGYN, so they'll be as hands off as I want them to be but we still have access to medical interventions/epidurals/etc. Oh yeah, did I mention epidural? ;) #1 reason I want to go hospital. I hear they're wonderful.
Well whatever you choose, I hope things go smoothly and beautifully. I will tell you epidurals are known to slow labors too though if you aren't in pain I guess it matters less. Lol. But I would always wish for my water not breaking! Omg- didn't break the 2nd time until the very end and it cushioned those contractions so nicely...way less pain than when my water broke right away. All I can think of this time is that I hope it doesn't break for as long as possible and my labor isn't any slower than last time. Fingers crossed!
I would think they might be quite worried about breaking waters if bubs are high because of the risk of prolapse, but maybe they can do it when bubs are down a bit? I hear you as a Hb mum about wanting an epi sometimes. Like I do kinda want one. It might be nice. My last labour hurt so much. But then again the only labour I had I also had a c/s and I just really don't want that with four children to look after this time. Regardless tho I wish you a good birth that satisfies your needs. Each birth is such a different journey, and I hope this one is smooth for you GD.

Oh GirlieDreamz, I have had exactly what you're hoping for in a hospital with an epidural and it was a disaster. My babies don't drop either and my water doesn't break until the end so last time I let them break it and it was horrific. The pain was so excruciating that I was vomiting and dry-heaving, the contractions were so close together and I'd lost my cushion so I felt so much pain. I got an epidural an hour later (bc that's how long it took for the anesthesiologist to come) and then my and baby's blood pressure bottomed out from the epidural. It was a disaster labor that lasted 36.5 hours after all the interventions. I tell you this just so you know that no intervention is without risk. I've had two epidurals and if I could go back and change my mind about having them I would. [emoji17]
I know that every labor and every momma and her body are different so your experience will be different than mine. I hope you have a wonderful, healthy labor and delivery no matter what you choose!!

24 weeks now :D My belly is growing too fast lol. Everytime I adjust to my extra size I blow up again and have to adjust all over again! My poor belly keeps getting hit by doors, drawers, etc. Lol. Good thing Jules can't be hurt by it or I'd be guilty of child abuse :o hahaha. Starting to have issues finding a comfy position also... guess the 3rd tri discomfort is getting a running start ;) BUT.... Uncomfortable as it may be, I would not have it any other way :D

You look awesome, Two!
Thanks for the good labor thoughts, everyone! Sounds like we all have "war" stories. :)
Does everyone have names picked out already? We're having the hardest time coming up with ones... especially ones we both like. ha! Anyone have good strategies?
Good god...after the 2nd baby I feel like names are sooooo hard. Unless you're finally getting the opposite sex. I thought I was dead set on Ophelia and then that changed and since then we've been struggling. I have zero advice. Lol. We like very unique but old fashioned feeling names and that's a challenge.
Ugh, names. I have a list of about 20 each. No one has really popped out yet.

Thanks girliedreamz :)
Our name has been engraved in stone for a over a year now. The only question was whether it'd be the boy version (Julian Ashton) or the girl version (Juliann Marie). This baby is being named after several ppl... so that made it easier.

I swear this pregnancy is flying by so fast! I'm 30 weeks today and my doctor expects me to deliver between 32-34 weeks. If I don't go on my own, I'm being induced or having a scheduled c-section at 36 weeks. I can't believe I'm going to have babies in a month!
Oh my goodness bunnygirl! I can't believe you are 30 weeks already!!!
Mama to 6 little loves.
Holy crap! I am kinda panicky about the fact Jules will be here in 99 days (under 100 days... 3 months 9 days... 14 weeks.....AHHHHH!) because I am always panicky until I feel like everything is completely ready. I can't believe that 2-6 weeks from now you'll have your twins! That's so crazy! Do you feel ready?

Holy crap bunnygirl! That's sooooo soon! Why will the doctor induce at 36 weeks? I have the same amount of time two and I am just freaking out a tiny bit because of this move..by the time we move I'll be about 30 weeks and I'm totally panicking which I kind of keep to myself because my husband would only laugh at me and tell me I'm being silly. Lol
29 weeks today!!! Yes, this pregnancy has gone by sooo fast. I am stuck on names also and we are finally getting our opposite. So it's either: Merritt, Tessa (can call her Tess, tessie also) or Layla. Middle name is prob. Grace.
Bunnygirl---soooo soon. Are you ready?? Freaking out for you!! So exciting.
I still need to get the crib/bassinet up. We are getting a quote next week on a addition so that may change a whole lot of stuff. Maybe we will start a renovation soon (crazy!!) so baby girl can have her own room soon. For now she will be in our room. Not sure if I want to wait or not.

Because of my blood clotting disorder. A lot of risks start popping up the further along you get having to do with the placenta and cord (placental abruption, cord rupture, stillbirth). With a singleton, if I hit 38 weeks I'm to be induced within a couple days of that point at most. I've always gone early on my own in the 35 week range with my last coming at 30.
I feel totally unprepared, but at least I have most of my sewing and embroidery done finally.

Cannot even imagine having less time!
Amen!!
Out of curiosity.... anyone else producing colostrum yet? A couple weeks ago my TTs started being really sore/sensitive again (not that they ever weren't sore, they just got a lot worse) and I wasn't sure why until I saw my nips were leaking a tiny bit several days ago. It's nothing major and I don't need to wear nursing pads (thank goodness because it's HOTTTTTTTTT!!!!). It's just one more thing to happen WAY sooner than *my normal* this time. I *think* that may be contributing to why I am freaking out so much about time. Contractions, pelvic pain and pressure, etc. and now colostrum... it's like my body is trying to tell me I am not going to make it to planned D-day. Premature delivery is a major paranoia for me this time and I have never worried about it before :/

29 weeks and 1 day with baby #3
Two-yes, I noticed ive been producing colostrum for a couple weeks now. I feel like I wake up and my boobs or body changed overnight every couple days.

I've had colostrum for months now, which is unusual for me.
That is where I am at... and the "unusual" part is I what worries me. The very earliest I have leaked is the very END of my SEVENTH month. I am 24 weeks, it started about a weeks ago, which puts me at the BEGINNING of my SIXTH month. With my first I leaked the first time around the 30th-31st week (I remember because I remember thinking I still had a week or 2 to go before my 8th month and asking my OB about it). With my youngest I didn't leak until a couple weeks before he was born and only once. So It is nearly 2 months earlier than I have ever had it. I don't want to call my OB over everything or they won't take me seriously if there is a major problem so I am waiting to talk to him at my next appt... but it does add to my paranoia :/

Two I've been leaking just about the whole time BUT I was nursing well into 2 months of pregnancy so my body is probably pretty confused. Lol. I never leaked with my previous two pregnancies so it's weird but I've chalked it up to nursing. My boobs are SO SO sore still...thought it was just me...and huge. I'm usually a B and right now I'm a D and when my milk comes in I'm an E for a short while- it's lunacy. They're huge and they hurt so bad and my milk coming in is never an easy short process- I'm always miserable...am so hoping that because I recently nursed, it will be an easier go around. I always "joke" it's worse than labor and last time it actually was.
Wow, Bunnygirl, that's so soon! I'm super excited for you!!!
I'm not producing anything that I've noticed but I've been sore lately, so who knows!
I'm finally feeling prepared. I finished my preemie shirts for the NICU and have them in the washer now. The only thing I really need to do now is pack a bag for the hospital. Hopefully I can relax now.
I'm seriously contemplating deactivating my FB for awhile. I posted about DS2 getting soap in his eye and being miserable and how urgent care said there wasn't much to do for him besides wait it out for the irritation to go away since it was already flushed and he didn't have any damage to his eye. Then everyone commenting is all "you should take him to the doctor" and "he might have chemical burns." I'm sorry but WTF do they think "I took him into urgent care" means?!!! He saw a doctor, consulted with ophthalmology, and cleared. I swear everyone is a bunch of idiots and can't read. My preggo hormones have completely destroyed every last shred of patience for stupid people that I had. LOL
Omg Bunny..my hormones and the 100 degree heat where I live have me so riled up...my kids, strangers, you name it. I'm having a hard time keeping my cool. I just had a potential client go crazy on me for asking him if he was pre-approved for a loan so I told him he didn't seem like a happy man and hung up. Lol. I just can't hang.
Lol. Ppl really can be illiterate idiots when it comes to FB. Glad you feel ready :)

I just finished at my appointment, 30w4d today. In the last two weeks my cervix has gone from just over 3 cm to now under 1 cm, but no dilation yet. I was hoping to get steroid shots for their lungs, but the doctor I had to see today instead of my usual said they only give steroids if you are dilated over 2 cm before 32 weeks. Both babies are still breech as well, which means they will most likely stay breech and I'll need a c-section.
That sucks! It's not like a steriod shot will hurt them, but it'll go a long way if things go from 0-60 in a hurry.

That was my reasoning as well, but this doctor wouldn't give it. Mine probably would have if I'd been able to see him today. Hopefully my body cooperates and holds out a few more weeks before I deliver then. I feel like I'll be lucky to make it another two weeks with all the contractions and pressure I keep having.
Are you seeing the doc weekly at this point? If not, could you call and ask your doc?

I start going weekly the week of July 11th. I'm going to send him an email though.
I never have heaps of patience with idiots in my mind, but once in pregnant it all just starts to slip out my mouth. My husband thinks it is funny/cute to see me get so "adorably grumpy" as he puts it, but man I just wanna smack people.
Two girls and one boy, due October 16
I got the twins' NICU bag packed last night and my hospital bag partially packed. I don't have much left to put in it since I don't take much with me, but I still need to put a phone charger, chapstick, and a book in there for sure. Otherwise, I have an outfit to wear home and travel toiletry bag for if I feel like showering. For some reason DH thinks I'll need a bathrobe, but I don't. It takes up too much room. I am planning to pack a light jacket/hoodie in case I get cold though.
Did u get ahold of your doc?

He's out of the office this week. :( Hopefully the babies stay in until I can talk to him on Tuesday when he gets back.
So I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow and have gained 14 pounds according to my dr (I think maybe a tad bit more according to my scale). I'm suppose to at least gain 30 pounds total but I haven't gained but 1 pound in the past 7 weeks. The first 4 weeks I'm not sure why-maybe kids got out of school and busier then I saw my dr in 3 weeks and I hadn't gained either but we had a 12 hour stomach bug so I had to regain some weight. Anyway, she's wanting me to eat smaller meals and gain some more weight. I think I'll be fine, hoping I don't go way overboard though. I think the sickness just made me lose too much weight. Baby is measuring fine though.

Dang dpike I'm pretty jealous...I've gained 21 lbs and counting and am 25 weeks. Some weeks I'm gaining 2 lbs per week. I'll probably hit 40 lbs overall weight gain which would be the most of all 3 pregnancies yet. I work out, am active etc but I eat a lot. Lol
