Yeah, I get a lot of people asking why go hospital this time. But I've had such a terrible time with both of the last two that I'm ready for interventions. For one thing, my water never breaks until the very end, which I know slows down my labors a bit. (I know because as soon as the water does break, everything goes lightning fast! ) I'd love the option of having it broken as soon as it's safe to do so. My kids also have never dropped down...you know how they're supposed to drop a bit in the days before you go into labor? Never happened for me. I have to physically push the whole way. Lazy suckers. lol But because of that, I've never had the "urge to push" either. I have to be told when I'm dilated and can start pushing. Anyway, all around I'm just ready to try a labor with a bit more intervention. I am working with midwives vs an OBGYN, so they'll be as hands off as I want them to be but we still have access to medical interventions/epidurals/etc. Oh yeah, did I mention epidural? #1 reason I want to go hospital. I hear they're wonderful.

Well whatever you choose, I hope things go smoothly and beautifully. I will tell you epidurals are known to slow labors too though if you aren't in pain I guess it matters less. Lol. But I would always wish for my water not breaking! Omg- didn't break the 2nd time until the very end and it cushioned those contractions so nicely...way less pain than when my water broke right away. All I can think of this time is that I hope it doesn't break for as long as possible and my labor isn't any slower than last time. Fingers crossed!

I would think they might be quite worried about breaking waters if bubs are high because of the risk of prolapse, but maybe they can do it when bubs are down a bit? I hear you as a Hb mum about wanting an epi sometimes. Like I do kinda want one. It might be nice. My last labour hurt so much. But then again the only labour I had I also had a c/s and I just really don't want that with four children to look after this time. Regardless tho I wish you a good birth that satisfies your needs. Each birth is such a different journey, and I hope this one is smooth for you GD.

Oh GirlieDreamz, I have had exactly what you're hoping for in a hospital with an epidural and it was a disaster. My babies don't drop either and my water doesn't break until the end so last time I let them break it and it was horrific. The pain was so excruciating that I was vomiting and dry-heaving, the contractions were so close together and I'd lost my cushion so I felt so much pain. I got an epidural an hour later (bc that's how long it took for the anesthesiologist to come) and then my and baby's blood pressure bottomed out from the epidural. It was a disaster labor that lasted 36.5 hours after all the interventions. I tell you this just so you know that no intervention is without risk. I've had two epidurals and if I could go back and change my mind about having them I would. [emoji17]

I know that every labor and every momma and her body are different so your experience will be different than mine. I hope you have a wonderful, healthy labor and delivery no matter what you choose!!

24 weeks now My belly is growing too fast lol. Everytime I adjust to my extra size I blow up again and have to adjust all over again! My poor belly keeps getting hit by doors, drawers, etc. Lol. Good thing Jules can't be hurt by it or I'd be guilty of child abuse hahaha. Starting to have issues finding a comfy position also... guess the 3rd tri discomfort is getting a running start BUT.... Uncomfortable as it may be, I would not have it any other way

    You look awesome, Two!

Thanks for the good labor thoughts, everyone! Sounds like we all have "war" stories.

Does everyone have names picked out already? We're having the hardest time coming up with ones... especially ones we both like. ha! Anyone have good strategies?

Good god...after the 2nd baby I feel like names are sooooo hard. Unless you're finally getting the opposite sex. I thought I was dead set on Ophelia and then that changed and since then we've been struggling. I have zero advice. Lol. We like very unique but old fashioned feeling names and that's a challenge.

We are set on Dalton Shane and Ophelia Hope. I already embroidered it on their blankets and made name tags for the NICU. LOL
