I’m sorry you’re still feeling down. Hang in there. It’s still very unknown as to what you’re having. And like simkan said we are getting about 50/50 so far in this DDG, just as it is IRL so you have every chance!!

I had a dream the other night my twins were born 10 weeks early. Probably had the dream bc I’m constantly worried about preterm labor. I think we just tend to dream about things we’re anxious about.

And I’ve had some REALLY weird dreams this pregnancy!! I guess it’s hormones!!!

Thank you TP (and everyone else too) for the congratulations, yes surreal is the only way to describe how I feel. I was shaking and in tears in the waiting room before the scan as I was so sure it was going to be a boy. The tech (a male for a change) was so lovely and very thorough and got the consultant ultrasound tech in to check placenta too. He double checked that I wanted to find out gender before looking at that area and had asked what genders I had at home. I told him two boys and that I thought this was another boy and he responded by saying "you might need to buy some new clothes, it's a girl". Words I never expected to hear. Thank you all so much for your support as this has definitely been a rough ride and I know it may not be smooth sailing from here with my strange placenta issues but I know I can face this now the uncertainty of gender is gone.
TP I am so sorry you are feeling like this, I hope things improve for you. I still have everything crossed that you have a little man onboard. Have you considered getting another dog? A little boy puppy to give you something to help get you through this? I know it is still really raw and so soon after losing your beloved dog and a puppy and a newborn would be a handful but maybe you need something extra right now just to keep you going. My thoughts are with you.

Abc, my due date is 23rd of March.
Simkan, I think my doc looked both at nub from profile and potty shot, and there was such a clear protrusion between legs, even I was convinced it's a boy. Here docs are pretty good at telling gender at 12-13 weeks, at some cases even at 11 weeks. I would love to have some hope, but realistically after what I saw and read on Internet about boy potty shots, there is no way. After I asked about chances, my doc said well, 99%, but I'm sure it's 100 :) From time to time I started to think about maybe trying for number 4, which should happen pretty soon after this one, since I already will be 40 when DS3 will arrive. Ahh, I don't know, I guess I just need to have some hope that I still have a chance of having a girl some day :)

Btw, I remembered the movie Double Jeopardy with Ashley Judd... the one that she’s falsely charged for murdering her husband, then after her time in prison she goes out and actually kills him?

Sunstars there is still some hope, im also praying every day for baby girl:pray: i need her so much in my life, i wish to have with her the same relationship like i have with my mother and i want to give her my mothers name...

Oh, sounds wonderful, noemi, I also prayed and still pray you will get your girl, you deserve it so much! You know I was just looking to our due date group results, and there is already a lot of sway opposites, so there should be more successful ones on the way, so it would make to 30/70 site ratio :) good luck!

I totally understand what you mean. We had always said no more than 3. But I know if this one had been a boy I would've wanted to try for a fourth.
It became a little running joke with DH when he'd ask me what if this was a boy and I'd say- well we're gonna have 4 boys then (the joke being we'd try for a 4th and it will be a boy too)
I think I would've needed that hope to get through gd this time... even if it was pretend, if you know what I mean.

And Kelbear, I'm glad you mentioned that, because I have definitely been thinking of getting another dog (boy, haha). DH seems reluctant at the moment, though he is a huge dog person and I know would eventually love any dog. Our grief has actually healed some stuff between us, to the point I have wondered if our dog did this for us :(...

And I know he was my "heart dog," and I'll likely never get that bond again, but I'm realizing I'm just totally a person who needs a dog in their life. And DD is definitely having a time adjusting...

BUT, is getting a new dog at 24 weeks pregnant with a 2 year old wise? Is it too soon to be rushing in?! Etc. I keep weighing pros and cons over and over...

No doubt it would be hard with a puppy but I think now would be better than with a new born, you have 4 months to get through puppy toilet training etc and then the puppy will be just that bit older when Bub arrives and both will get used to each other very quickly. Plus your DD will have something to occupy her when Bub arrives and you are busy feeding etc. just seems like you need something else in your life to try to fill the gap left by your beloved dog to help you through this tough time. Each dog that graces our lives is different and can't replace the one before but takes its iwn special place in our hearts.
