You're dealing with morning sickness too, Ribbons? My DH says I'm insufferable each time I'm pregnant, but I swear I don't remember feeling this crummy the other times. I'm not throwing up or anything, but I pretty much feel carsick 24/7. It seems like with my other two pregnancies eating would make me feel better for awhile, but this time around I only feel better ~while~ I'm eating. Pretty much as soon as I swallow my last bite, the urpy feelings are back.
The nausea subsided around week 11 for both of my other kids ... so only a month to go. I know that it's good because A) it means I'm pregnant (160+ days on the diet was enough) and B) that it ~hopefully~ means the hormones are doing what they should and that things are progressing well. But still ... queasiness is gross.
It was really bad from about week 5-7 - constant seasickness-type feeling - but this past week I've been feeling much better. Haven't thrown up though. (I didn't with DS2 either.) I'm a little worried about it b/c of the old wives' tales of morning sickness = girls, and this is definitely the easiest I've had it! However, DS1 was AWFUL, I had m/s all the way through the 7th month.
Now I'm mainly just "iffy" about certain foods, and my cravings are weird. I'm living on fruit, cheese and homemade soup. No eggs or chicken, but I can stomach spicy asian stuff and vinegary/acidy things just fine.
Sucking on ginger candy helps me too (this kind)
I'm trying to not let that OWT freak me out, since I feel gross but I'm not vomiting. A good friend of mine was incredibly ill (as in, lost weight her first trimester from throwing up so much ill) with her first pg, which was her son, and her more recent pg, her daughter, she didn't have morning sickness at all. Fatigue and some cramping, but no nausea.
I think we just have to be like Atomic and think scientifically -- it doesn't seem like there would be a scientific, biological reason that the gender of an embryo that is only an 1/8th of an inch long would affect how sick we do or don't feel.
My pregnancies with ds3 and this dd were almost identical symptom-wise - almost no m/s whatsoever. Don't let those OWTs scare you!
i agree - they are just OWT's and there is NO backing behind that theory.
My mum had zero morning sickness with all 3 of us girls and had permanant morning sickness with my brother
i def had symptoms this pregnancy, that i never had with my boys.
the constant 24 hour a day nausea for the first 14 weeks was one.
worse acne i have ever had in my life the first trimester aswell, i even had pimples on my legs, it was sooo gross.
total lack of appetite, compared to the boys aswell, with the boys i was hungry all the time, but this time i made myself eat because i knew i had too, not because i was hungry. and nothing appealed to me food wise.
and my boobs were the sorest they have ever been too, espeially the nipples, just having a shirt on them would hurt.
then there were other things, like my belly was so much smaller this pregnancy, but my legs and butt retained a lot more fluid.
i know i have only had one girl , but compared to all my boy pregnancies, this was def different...:)
Congratulations dannikins! I don't know how you were able to wait for the surprise at her birth, I surely would not have the willpower! Enjoy your daughter:HH:
dannikins--
Congrats on your baby daughter! I was thinking of you this morning and wondering if you had given birth yet. That must have been such a surprise. Such a great surprise.
I recal you did not start "swaying" per say --- but I was wondering what your attempt was like conceiving her. I recall you dtd only once 5 days before o. Is that right? Anything else?
Congrats, Dannikins! She is so cute!
How is everyone else doing? I miss coming on here as much as I used to. We just got back from a few days at the beach. I am just trying to figure things out right now. I hope everyone is doing great, I will try and come more often! xoxo
Dannikins- she's Gorgeous!!!!!! Congrats
How's everyone doing? Ribbons, how's the nausea treating you? I'm feeling quite green around the gills. Even when I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I'm queasy. I'm burping a lot (probably caused in part by the sodas I'm drinking to try to settle my stomach) and I've gagged/dry-heaved twice this morning. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I'm lucky that I have my own office at work, but it's still tricky trying to act normal when interacting with my colleagues, rather than showing that I feel like I might just yak on their shoes. :)
I was sure I would have some time between the LE diet and morning sickness to really enjoy food, but nope. I started having nausea on 14dpo and didn't test until 18dpo ... so now I'm just holding on until late first trimester and will hopefully start to feel good again. Oh, and not that the nausea is preventing weight gain, though ... I'm already up five and a half pounds from when I ovulated!!! I'm hoping that that's just because I was in such a deprivation mode (I was at 95.5 lbs. when I ovulated) that this is simply my body bouncing back, taking advantage of me snacking and eating all day, rather than only twice a day. I still weigh a pinch less than when I conceived my other two kids, so hopefully it'll even out soon, as I approach "normal" early-pregnancy weight.
Barf, barf. How's everyone else doing? Lassie? Kraizy? Surgena? Distract me!! :)
Sorry to hear you are feeling bad Dramabird, but that means you bean is growing nicely. CD5 for me, so not much to talk about on my end. We are buying a house, so I am trying to let it get my mind off TTC. I failed on all my clomid cycles and the post clomid cycle so I am feeling like my daughter will never happen.
Ah KD :hugs:
exciting about the house though! Is it bigger, roamier, dreamier? I've got houses on the brain, though we cant afford to buy an upgraded one yet. Our house is small!
Dannikins Congrats on your girl shes gorgeous:awe:
Dramabird hang in there im just coming out of the dark ms tunnel at 12 weeks ,i also drank sodas to help coke and sprite, and then the best was canada dry gingerale, and sour candies.
Kraizy dont give up yet.i really believe your time will come when its the right time for you ,and you will realize any other time wouldn't have fit when you look back on it,i just know you'll get your girl:LotsofLove:
Hi girls,
I'm 2dpo today and not feeling hopeful at all this month. Just taking it one day at a time.
Kraisy, congrats on the new house! Maybe being distracted by moving is a good thing... It seems like people get PG right when they turn their attention to something else.
So sorry to hear about the ms Dramabird. I get it real bad too, it's just horrible. Hope it goes away soon!
Good to see you Amari, is your ms under control? Hope you are feeling well!
Good luck to everyone! We need some more BFPs!
Dramabird, my m/s is doing fine, really, definitely better than I've ever had it. But I still feel 'urpy' pretty much all day and through the night. Kind of like a low-level seasickness. Eating helps a lot. Not so bad as dry-heaving though, sorry! I know how it is to try to hide it at work, been there done that! NO fun. I do think that it was the deprivation that is making us gain so fast... I gained a whopping 5 lbs right away, but it's leveled off a bit thankfully. Still not up to my pre-LE diet weight (but almost there)
Kraisy, congrats! Buying a house is so stressful but so rewarding... how far along are you in the process? We just bought a house here in CA, BIG sticker shock from TX (where our house was literally 2x as big and 1/3 the price!! Crazy!) and now we are settling into the reality of paying this ginormous mortgage for 30 more years... we couldn't afford it on our own, so we are renting out our bottom level, which makes it very affordable but sort of like living in an apartment again. Maybe we should have kept renting... LOL - but I love my house and it was worth all the stress and money for sure!
Amari! I was wondering what happened to you. I can't believe you are already 14 weeks!!
MyGirl, what were your attempts like? Why are you not feeling hopeful?
I hope everyone else is well!
I don't want to jinx myself as theis has never happened before... But I feel ok today. It's still there(m/s) but like soooo close to normal. It may just be today but omg, I will be so thankful!
I am still on Zofran and I have more Accupuncture on Thursday but between that and snacking I think I may have my plan down to feel my best... Let's see if I report back after lunch with a different story lol!
Of course now my stomach is upset for other reasons. My very good friend who just had a mastectomy didn't get good news and I am having a hard time with it. My worries are nothing compared to hers. Sorry to be a downer but largely on my mind that it is making me physically ill:(
Coocoo, I was just replying to you on the 2ww thread... I think you, Butterfly and Babyy are the only BFPs this month? I just am hoping to see more, more, more!!:)
I'm so glad you are feeling ok, I bet the acupuncture is really helping. I am so sorry to hear about your friend, it is so hard when someone you care about is very ill.
Ribbons, I don't know why I'm not hopeful this month, I had lots of good attempts (4 leading up to O). But I had good attempts last month and BFN, so worrying about my fertility a bit. I'm glad to hear you're feeling ok and things are going well.:)
Sometimes I think it safer to be non hopeful, you come down with less of a crash when you get the bfn! Well , I do anyway.
I'm another not hopeful for this month.
Maybe its because I'm looking forward to a break from swaying. Who knows.
We had a ton of good attempts, but then we had a ton of good attempts the month prior as well an no pregnancy.
I'm actually thinking of maybe getting just the basic routine fertility checks done when we attempt again in a couple of month just to rule out any issues or problems.

thanks..:)
no i didnt get to start my sway. but there were things done differently than when my boys were conceived.
we had a one shot deal 5 days before O after 7 days abstinence, and 7 days abstinence before that.
was missionary, in the morning( not planned either, just happend that way) and with a J&D, (also not planned, but i J&D regularly anyway) and a hot shower straight after.
with the boys it was more frequent BD, like almost every day, if not everyday, we did do cut offs for the last 2 boys but obviously they werent long enough.
conception was a different time of year, all the boys were conceived in summer and born in spring.
Sasha was conceived begining of spring, born mid winter.
we both had the flu at the time if her conception too.
i wasnt really sure about the whole timing thing before, since i had 2 boys with a 3 day cutoff, but i guess because im so fertile i just needed a longer cutoff.
im sooooo happy we finally done it, and she is sooooo worth the wait.
its amazing, like i knew i wanted a girl, but i didnt realise how much i wanted her until she was here. i bawled my eyes out when i seen she had girl bits....:)
KD-That's exciting to be in a new house, fresh start!
Hope-How's the summer starting off? Any beach time yet? Hope things are good and you are in a positive mind set!
Ribbons-Yes, I am here just not posting as much. I feel extremely blessed, of course, but for some reason when I get on here I start to get anxiety about gender dissapointment. So many people get their desired gender on here which is great, but I feel like it can't be me too. So, I don't come on as much. MS is ok, I take meds everyday, I have to do so my entire pregnancies, I'm use to it! Hope you are well!
Hi to everyone else!
Thanks for all the encouragement ladies. I will get over this funk soon I hope. We move in to our new house mid july, so hopefully a new environment and a bedroom DOOR will help as well. We just dont have any privacy here, so its no wonder we have had such a hard time DTD lol!
Hope, glad we r in sync with our cycles. Maybe this will finally be our turn to see two pink lines!
Amari how are the girls growing? U showing by now?
Well ladies...just to recap for any new people, this was the month we had some fertility testing and got the unpleasant news that I have "diminished ovarian reserve" because my FSH measured 20 and my AMH was .4 on D4 of my cycle. We have been trying to conceive since November (I had a chemical in January, and a second chemical in March). I stopped swaying after my first chemical because at 40 years old, I realized I really didn't care as much about gender and would just be so lucky to even conceive another child...and obviously I was right based on the blood test results/FSH/AMH. The ultrasound our RE did on the day of O, showed that I had the GRAND total of 3 follicles this month. Well, AF was due on Monday, but we were on vacation so I figured I would just wait until we got back last night and test this morning to see if another "chemical" was happening and AF was just be late.....and it's a :omg:
BFP!
Funny thing is I ovulated pretty much to the exact date we conceived DS2. I am smiling, but really nervous. I wish I could be jumping up and down, but I'm a bit worried still because my test numbers were soo yucky, I worry about the quality of this egg...I really hope this little bean sticks. I will call my RE and OB today to see if they will do some early betas/testing to make sure it's going okay in there! Thanks to all of you who told me not to give up hope and continued to support me and listen to my journey -- I hope my story gives the rest of you hope! If I can get a BFP at age 40 with FSH of 20 and AMH of .4 so can you and your BFPs will happen soon :)
ILindGurl, I told ya those numbers did not mean anything!! So happy for you!!!!! Wonderful news to get first thing this morning!!!!!
Congrats ILindGurl!! So exciting!!
Thanks, Kraizy -- I'm still not celebrating yet....I'm so worried because of that damn test (FSH/AMH) which had I never pushed to have done, I wouldn't even have known about! Maybe I will feel better after seeing a heartbeat or something.
My RE's office was so nice and said they would monitor the pregnancy since usually the OBs don't see you until much further along. So, I'm going for the initial beta testing tomorrow morning :) I will keep you all posted -- please stick little guy, please stick!
Ilundgirl- congrats!!! That's great :) stay positive
Amari- u have 2 girls no worries there. U were on clomid and diet your all good ;). Obviously the clomid worked u had 2 eggs and it so sways girl. Yes at beach all the time! Diet is so much harder but doing it. Veggie burgers on the grill and lettuce for me. It's the no snacking when everyones drinking and having cheese and crackers! Ugh
Congratulations ILindGirl! What wonderful news:HH:
I'm thinking of you and praying for a sticky, healthy bean!
Congratulations iLinggurl :cheer:
dannikins - such a gorgeous photo!!!! Congrats, what a lovely surprise!!
Kraizy - so sorry to hear you are down :( BUt good news about the house! That will certainly be able to help you take your mind of things, a change is as good as a holiday, and this might be just the change you need to start yourself on a pregnancy journey. Thinking of you and honestly hoping for some really positive news for you soon xo
Amari the skulls are two different shapes to me! :) Maybe you got your girl for SURE!
How cute they are!

I agree top skull looks like my dd at her nt scan.
Ok, try this again, here is the u/s from a week or two ago, one baby on top, second on the bottom, if you want to see.

I think baby A is a girl for sure. Not too certain about baby B ...about 50/50 on that one.
First beta results are in...RE said those were good numbers. We go for an ultrasound tomorrow to hopefully see ONE gestational sac ;)
Put the test results in my sig. I honestly have no idea what those numbers mean....anyone know?
Ilindgirl- those are great #s!! Twins perhaps ;)
