Yummyyyyy. After initial post-early pregnancy food binging prior to morning sickness, I'd like to start eating as many unprocessed foods as possible.

You're dealing with morning sickness too, Ribbons? My DH says I'm insufferable each time I'm pregnant, but I swear I don't remember feeling this crummy the other times. I'm not throwing up or anything, but I pretty much feel carsick 24/7. It seems like with my other two pregnancies eating would make me feel better for awhile, but this time around I only feel better ~while~ I'm eating. Pretty much as soon as I swallow my last bite, the urpy feelings are back.

The nausea subsided around week 11 for both of my other kids ... so only a month to go. I know that it's good because A) it means I'm pregnant (160+ days on the diet was enough) and B) that it ~hopefully~ means the hormones are doing what they should and that things are progressing well. But still ... queasiness is gross.

It was really bad from about week 5-7 - constant seasickness-type feeling - but this past week I've been feeling much better. Haven't thrown up though. (I didn't with DS2 either.) I'm a little worried about it b/c of the old wives' tales of morning sickness = girls, and this is definitely the easiest I've had it! However, DS1 was AWFUL, I had m/s all the way through the 7th month.

Now I'm mainly just "iffy" about certain foods, and my cravings are weird. I'm living on fruit, cheese and homemade soup. No eggs or chicken, but I can stomach spicy asian stuff and vinegary/acidy things just fine.

Sucking on ginger candy helps me too (this kind)

I'm trying to not let that OWT freak me out, since I feel gross but I'm not vomiting. A good friend of mine was incredibly ill (as in, lost weight her first trimester from throwing up so much ill) with her first pg, which was her son, and her more recent pg, her daughter, she didn't have morning sickness at all. Fatigue and some cramping, but no nausea.

I think we just have to be like Atomic and think scientifically -- it doesn't seem like there would be a scientific, biological reason that the gender of an embryo that is only an 1/8th of an inch long would affect how sick we do or don't feel.

My pregnancies with ds3 and this dd were almost identical symptom-wise - almost no m/s whatsoever. Don't let those OWTs scare you!

i agree - they are just OWT's and there is NO backing behind that theory.

i def had symptoms this pregnancy, that i never had with my boys.

the constant 24 hour a day nausea for the first 14 weeks was one.
worse acne i have ever had in my life the first trimester aswell, i even had pimples on my legs, it was sooo gross.
total lack of appetite, compared to the boys aswell, with the boys i was hungry all the time, but this time i made myself eat because i knew i had too, not because i was hungry. and nothing appealed to me food wise.
and my boobs were the sorest they have ever been too, espeially the nipples, just having a shirt on them would hurt.

then there were other things, like my belly was so much smaller this pregnancy, but my legs and butt retained a lot more fluid.

i know i have only had one girl , but compared to all my boy pregnancies, this was def different...

    dannikins--
Congrats on your baby daughter! I was thinking of you this morning and wondering if you had given birth yet. That must have been such a surprise. Such a great surprise.
I recal you did not start "swaying" per say --- but I was wondering what your attempt was like conceiving her. I recall you dtd only once 5 days before o. Is that right? Anything else?
