Which Gender Sway Method should I use?

Im not sure which gender sway method to use. Ive read a lot about Shuttles and O+12 and i can't figure out which one would be better for ME.

We have two boys. We want a girl.
I charted with both so i have a history of everything with each. We were not trying to sway, we just wanted to get pregnant. BUT if you look back through everything (as far as timing goes), everything was timed perfectly for BOY according to Shuttles. Now, i realize timing is just one of the many variables in swaying, however, its really the only core evidence that i have to go from. With DS1 we DTD pretty much every day until I got a positive OPK. Now with BBT I know that we DTD the day before (not the day of and not the day after). So that says Shuttles, but then again, we were doing it everyday before that so i guess that could also be O+12?
With DS2, we only DTD the day of ovulation. We babydanced 3 days before ovulation. And that was the only two times during the fertile period....erm...im writing this out now and starting to question if it was Shuttles or O+12..seems like we unknowingly sway with both methods :doh ...i always just assumed Shuttles but maybe not? Im not sure....but anyways, ive changed my diet and using RepHresh and all that jazz and charting. I have a Baby-Comp (fertility monitor) and it gender sways too. It seems pretty much like the O+12 method (def not Shuttles). With my history and having two boys, but wanting a girl, would you advise I use the O+12 or Shuttles? I know the research is leaning more on the O+12, that Shuttles may not even be accurate, but i just want to be careful with it seeing how i have two boys already and i knew when i DTD with both.

we don't tend to use timing on here as Shettles has been debunked (sperm swim at the same pace and live the same amount of time. Only way to differentiate is with microsort - dye and forcing sperm through laser to examine them). Most women on here have their dd with bd at opk+. 0+12 and shettles are very hard to get pregnant doing so for some women to.

I am aware of the other things that are important in swaying, im especially working on my pH. I think that contributed greatly to my boys. Ive been working on my diet for a while now. Amongst other things, ....but i thought most ppl timed babydancing?? Are you saying timing is irrelevant? I thought everything was equally meaningful?
We are not JUST wanting to get pregnant. This is for certain our last. If it takes time to get pregnant, so be it. I just want my best shot at a girl.

Shettles has been debunked. There is no difference between female/male sperm in terms of how long they are viable or how fast they swim. What Shettles thought was girl/boy sperm was really sperm which had shed the hard outer layer (and thus smaller) and sperm which hadn't. If it was so easy to tell then fertility labs wouldn't have to inject special dyes to figure out gender, they could just look at the shape and speed under a microscope.

O+12 is an EXTREMELY difficult method to apply. Unless you happen to have an ultrasound machine at home, you have absolutely no way of narrowing the window of ovulation down more than a range of 12-36 hours. You just can't pinpoint it closer than that with any method of charting or testing available at home. Add to that that eggs don't live that long, and you either end up bd'ing before O or missing the egg entirely. Also, timing and frequency barely sways anyways, timing least of all. We have ladies here conceiving both genders with all sorts of timing and cutoffs. Seriously, it doesn't matter.

Here on GD the sway is pretty much centered around the maternal condition being able to influence gender. No guarantees, but the theory is that declining maternal condition favours girls, and thus the LE diet was born. I would encourage you to visit the girl sway forums here (Trying to Conceive a Girl and TTC Girl for Dream Members) and start by reading the FAQ stickies and go from there. There's a lot of info to absorb!

When I joined GD I shortly learned afterwards that Shettles was wrong. He thought he saw XX and XY sperm under a microscope, but really he saw sperm in different stages of maturation of a process required to penetrate an egg.

Timing was one of the biggest aspects I had to just let go, and trust that I was doing the right thing. It was far from easy, as I had been studying Shettles for months and thought he was right.

And I can tell you that I conceived my DD either the day before or Day of O! As have many other ladies on here!

I am busy reading more now than ever. Ive been reading a lot but just from the wrong site (you know what i mean =/ )
In a way, im a bit releved to be reading about the timing thing, because my cycles are very irregular (not even really existent) atm, bc im BFing.

There is a LOT of reading to do. Myself, I started my boy sway following the Trivers Willard hypothesis, back in 2009 when Atomic was still over at IG. For me, IMHO, it just seemed to click. I did a TW sway (thanks to Atomic's advice) and got my boy. READ READ READ, and see if it gels with you. Good Luck!

thats the irony of it. Ive spent the last 6 months reading, but it was all on the IG site which seems to me like most of it is inaccurate....oh well im just glad i havn't gotten pregnant yet (that sounds horrible but it means i can get GOOD information from here lol)

For me, IG just seems to be a mish mash of a bunch of theories, that don't really add up in the end. That's me though, everyone has to do what they think works for them. GORGEOUS family BTW...really!

GL! There's a lot. Breastfeeding does sway pink, however, it also makes for irregular cycles. You probably want to start charting if you haven't already, as it's very common to have nursing really mess with your luteal phase. Also, since your baby is very young yet you might not really be ovulatory, so be prepared for that.

My nursling is much older, but up till this Sep (he was 33 months) we were still nursing almost on infant schedule. Boob addict, he was, lol. Anyways, my cycles were all over the place, I knew I was irregular but I hadn't been charting. I started charting and yikes, iffy ovulation, anov cycles, delayed O, broken LP. My LP was only 5-7 days long, brutal! I ended up pretty much entirely weaning (just one morning feed) this cycle and finally things are going back to normal. Unfortunately I just wasn't one of the lucky ones that can conceive while nursing at all. I loved nursing, but DS3 is turning 3 tomorrow and, well, I'm ok with getting him off the boob by now, lol.

Not saying it'll be the same for you, but something to look into. Also, your baby still needing momma's milk so you need to be careful to still eat well so you don't lose your milk. Be careful with the supplements too, some like Saw Palmetto are a complete no no with nursing. Vitex is ok and can help regulate your cycles a lot.

welcome! you might find AF doesn't return for a while whilst BF - I didn't get mine back until 6 months but then had a severe luteal phase defect until 12 months so couldn';t have conceived before then even though I wanted to. Are you trying straight away?

personally I think that by the 12 month point (or by the time you're down to just a couple of feeds a day) BF doesn't sway any more, but it can still prevent you taking certain supplements so next time I'll be weaning before swaying

I have been charting since i was 6 weeks PP. (i charted with the other babies as well). I forced ov. with soy iso. (stupid me! but i was desperate lol). I dont think my body would have ov.ed AT ALL if i wouldn't have taken it. But it was a dumb move on my part bc my LP only ended up being 8 days. (when im not BFing my LP is only 10 days. 11 if im extra extra careful about the B Vit but doesn't always work either). So that was dumb of me. When I was BFing DS1, I never ov.ed either. I ov.ed two weeks after i was 100% done nursing him. Then i had 7 cycles which were the typical length however they were all annovulory (this could have been due to the Endo as well, idk) and then finally on the 8th cycle i got pregnant with DS2. So i figure it would be complicated. Im on CD 31 now and had a +OPK last night. OF course, thats not saying much bc i had a +OPK on Wed and then bubs decided he needed to nurse more again lol. So then i didn't but then he want a good stretch day before yesterday and i got that positive. I really hope this is it. We wern't planning on having another one for a good while but with the recent learning of some major health concerns, we just decided to go for it. Anyways, Im being very careful about my diet and supplements. Ive decided i wont be doing the soy again...

It's very common to have fakeout attempted O's while still nursing. Your body's practicing to get back into it. Natural spacing is about 2.5-3 years apart on average when nursing and weaning on demand and not preventing, that's how Mother Nature prefers to space babies so each baby has the 'best of' mom. So it's totally normal to not ovulate and not be fertile while baby is still young enough to get most of his nutrients from boobymilk and not solid food.

If you're still lactating, prolactin interferes with progesterone. Which is why it's so common to have LPD while nursing. I've read of many accounts where women took Vitex when they wanted to conceive again but weren't quite ready to wean, so you could try that. Vitex is safe while bf'ing. You would take it CD1-14 only or it can delay O.

Unfortunately Vitex for me wasn't enough to fix my LP issues, but I was more than ready for DS3 to be done with the boob at 3!

I took vitex to sort my LP out too... although there's no evidence saying it's unsafe there is none saying it's safe either and I was worried about DS1 getting a dose of it through my milk so would take it straight after a feed. I also took vit B6 to extend my luteal phase as it was also only 11 days pre-pregnancy and went down to 4/5 days whilst BF
