Bleeding but temps still up, and preg tests still positive?

I have a dr appointment for Tuesday (earliest I could get in) which is 17dpo for me.
My preg tests are still positive (still faint positive, but no less than they were a few days ago) and my temps are still way above cover line BUT I'm bleeding. A lot. I thought it was my period and I had miscarried but my temps and preg tests say otherwise.

Has anyone ever had this? Could it be SCH? Or me loosing a twin? Can I still be pregnant or are the tests just taking a while to go blank and maybe my temps are taking a while to go back?

Hard to say. Could be a chemical. If you are bleeding a lot like filling a pad, that would be my guess. A bleed is possible but only u/s will show. I'm sorry.

Yes, I mentioned that I started out this pregnancy with a full week of bleeding red.
It's possible. FX for you meeks hon, try to think happy thoughts. Perhaps you need progesterone.

This is my experience, because I've had both but we all know there is no "norm" for what is actually going on.

With the SCH, the bleeding was like a water balloon burst, it was very sudden and the bleeding was like red fluid...then it tapered off to spotting, clots etc but it never really seemed to me like AF...because it was always TOO MUCH or TOO LITLLE not the average, constant flow of AF. Then another 'burst' and so on and so forth

I've also had AF come on and my test still be faint +, and this is just heartbreaking to happen because your mind and your heart and your body aren't all agreeing so its tough to wait it out. :(

If it was a twin scenario, your hcg may stall or drop and then spike back up but I think at this early, its not so common to bleed but it does happen for sure.

I am also in limbo till Tuesday so I am just poas once a day and trying to carry on as usual but its easier said than done.

The signs of low progesterone are usually just some pink spotting. For most women anyway but can't hurt to get that number checked out. xx

Thanks ladies. This is thinner redder blood than my period and way heavier than I ever get. Like water but very red. 2 days of heavy and now its almost stopped completely. Maybe it is SCH then. Obviously I'm getting the doc to do bloods on Tuesday but its such a hard wait til then.

With my other two chemicals af was thick and dark with clots like usual. And my temps dropped a day before af. Af was heavier but not like this. My tests went neg with those too.

ARe you cramping at all?

I think the thin fluidy blood was my clue that it wasn't AF. And how it would completely stopped. Maybe wear a pad to keep an eye on whats happening

Not at all cramping. That's why I feel it's not af. Usually I have back pain, heavy cramps etc. I occasionally have a tiny pinching sensation in the very middle down low in my tummy. But not painful just different to usual.

Yeah..my periods are painful too but I did not cramp with the SCH.

It could be one. It does sound like it could be large though with that much bleeding...idk. I will be interested to hear how this turns out for you...GL xx

I would think that if the hpt's don't become negative in the next week you'll need to get it checked out, make sure if everything's passed through or if there's something else that needs attention

Uh oh guys, I think I'm in a similar boat.

This pregnancy thing used to be easier, I swear, lol.

Okay, so my symptoms are sounding maybe like yours, meeks? I was reassured by two cheapie BFP's this morning that were a touch darker then yesterday. Then this afternoon I see some pink when I wipe, uh oh.

Definitely not full flow of AF, no cramping. I did check my cervix really quick as I was freaking out (even though I know I probably really shouldn't) and cervix is soft, high, closed.

But the spotting is red and seems to come and go. So a spot on my liner, then fades over an hour to just a touch of pink when I wipe, then another splotch. So now I'm so scared that I'm losing the bean. I did have intermittent spotting with DS3 too but it's been so long I don't remember how much/what colour, etc.

I'll be calling my dr tomorrow and trying to get in, but I would assume that a m/c would be accompanied by some pretty obvious cramps?

Me too in that boat. Spotting heavier, slight cramps :( Considered going to the ER but not really sure if that makes any sense.

Hope you can get in tomorrow. ((hugs)) Its so hard! Very hard to stay distracted and doing other things when you just don't know what is going on. :(

And yes...when the m/c starts its very crampy. Mine usually start out brown then red very soon after. The spotting business is "supposedly" normal but it never is for me.

Yah makes sense Harley. I dunno, I'll call my GP tomorrow but I definitely won't go to the ER without serious symptoms. Our hospitals are overcrowded and I know that all they'll tell you is to go home and let it pass anyways. :(

I'm so depressed. :( I don't even want to call my GP because they don't have lab or ultrasounds or ANYTHING on site, so all they'd do is give me a pile of lab referrals and I'd have to go somewhere else again. Ugh.

If it turns out badly I think I'll just let it pass naturally, and not bother going in unless my hpt's didn't go totally blank. This really sucks.

Hubby doesn't even seem that perturbed, the ass. He keeps tsking at me for running to the bathroom every 10 min to check. Just says "Oh well, we'll just try again." I kinda want to kill him right now. :(

Why don't you go to the doctor and get some blood tests to go by, before this does your head in!!! It is the only way to settle your fears! Spotting/bleeding can be completely normal in early pregnancy!! I have spotted/bleed bright red and clots with all of my pregnancy's in early pregnancy! It sure does your head in though! I personally wouldn't bother going to the er, they will only do the bloods the GP would and as your so early I doubt anything would be done if it turns out bad anyway! I have had a few early m/c and they just did bloods and waited! If you get bloods and it is a m/c your dr will be able to watch and make sure your hormones are doing the right thing, if everything is fine he will watch and make sure everything rises nicely it would be good to do either way! I hope this little bean sticks for you!!!!!

I agree rainbow baby...but its sunday so its just a matter of waiting it out till Tuesday for me to get blood re-drawn. I"m just disappointed. Its been a long road that never goes anywhere.

Lace..my DH the same way..must be a man thing. He keeps telling me to go lay down but I think not because he's worried but to get rid of me for a few minutes;)

Dammit I'm still lightly bleeding red. This SUCKS so hard. If it ramps up to full AF then I guess I'm done. This is my first loss like this and it really really hurts even though I know it's very common.

I probably won't even bother going into the doc unless they ask me if I start getting BFN's. There's nothing to be done anyways, and at least I know I'm still fertile and that my LP is ok since I didn't start this spotting until today at 18dpo.

I want to have a big ol' cry and get stinking drunk.

I think after the pity party, you will find its easier than you think to re-group. Idk..some losses I take harder than others and it doesn't always have to do with how far along the pg is. SOmetimes its easiest just to get right back on the horse right away, but sometimes you need a longer break before trying again.

Well I got a BFN on my preg test today so I guess it was af/chemical. Temps still up slightly but someone told me that can happen when you miscarry so I guess that's what it was. This is my third chemical and I agree, some you take better than others. This time was hard for me because I didn't know what was happening for so long. Now I know I actually feel ok.

Off to see doc Tuesday anyway and see if there is something that can be done about my short LP.

I agree meeks...once you KNOW it is failing, your mind can move forward incredibly well, maybe because you half expected it. But it still hurts and moving forward can be bittersweet...because my DS#2 is straight away after a loss and how wonderful it is that I have him. But I always find it incredibly hard to put away 'what could have been' because I get very attached right away. I"m never able to stay detached once I get that BFP. I start dreaming of baby feet right away. So I am always gutted but obviously able to keep picking myself up and keep trying.

Was this your 3rd chemical in a row? I hope there is something they can do for a short LP...I am sure there is. They may add progesterone? ARe you a Vitex person?

Ugh I so agree, it's the NOT KNOWING that sucks ass. I had a nice comforting IM chat with my best friend today, so I feel better. Okay, so the grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate cake helped too. :)

I'll be fine. If this ends badly, then at least it was early, yk? I totally dread having something like a missed m/c, that has got to be the worst of all.

It's been sporadic, I notice I'm not experiencing any flow in between potty visits, and just some (but still red) when I wipe. Back to wiping pink by late evening. I don't want to get my hopes up though, but we'll see what tomorrow brings. I'm hoping maybe I'll dream something that'll tell me what to expect.

Looking on the bright side though, I'm glad that I did conceive again and that my LP was definitely long enough with the B6. So even if we have to try again at least I've got my supplement/vitamin formula down, lol!

I promised hubby no tests, no temps, and no checking internally for a week. So, reprieve from any pressure of POAS. ;) Probably better not to, if it's a loss it'll happen the next few days anyways.

I basically feel exactly the same!

I am previously very fertile and crossing my fingers for clomid but just also want a ultrasound to make sure it's all ok.

Yes this is my third in a row but first where I had confusion as in temps stayed high and pg test was still pos after bleeding started.

Not a vitex person, scared to use it in case it mucks me up worse! Just started soy and this was my 2nd cycle on it, it helped my luteal go from 10 to 12 days but didn't help me hang onto the beans any better. :-(

Oh meeks I did not say properly I am sorry for your loss :hugs: I had us moving forward already, but I am sorry and I do know how disappointing it is.

lace...you are still in the game, don't lose hope and don't get stinkin' drunk quite yet...because I think this can still turn out absolutely ok for you.

And hopefully for me too:cheer: No use having the pity party till you get an invitation...personally, I don't like to crash parties ;) I'm gonna wait to get my invite and then see what to do. I fully believe in pity parties when they are needed. You just can't over-stay your welcome.

I feel the same way about Vitex. However I would give my left leg for Clomid!! I will never get it because I ovulate like some sort of freaking machine!!

Hoping to pretend I don't know if I ovulate and focus on the fact I've been trying so long and fx I have a gp that gives it out willy nilly. Probably not!

Got pretty much full AF overnight and risked a cervix check, and it's open. Plus some lovely back cramps and that's all she wrote. :(

Well damn, but well we'll keep trying. I won't bother going into the doc if my hpt's are clear bfn's. Not sure about continuing the vitex or not though, still thinking about that.

So sorry for you, I know how it feels, and it stinks!
Glad to hear you aren't discouraged, do think twice about vitex I hear it mucks with lots of people's cycles... Pm atomic if unsure and see what she recommends given your history and the rest of your sway...

Hmmm my tests are negative now, but temps still rising... Am I sick? I am VERY tired and a bit dizzy.
Guessing it can't happen that your preg tests go negative, you get bleeding but you are still pregnant. That's a bit too wishful thinking I reckon...
