Ok gals!
I'm trying to figure out what the heck I should eat. Can you guys tell me what your day looks like? When do you take your supps? When is your last meal-how late do you eat in the evening? When/how do you exercise? Do you exercise?
Thanks!!

Good questions. Wondering if I am doing the right things myself.
Nice thread!
I´ve not started all the supplements yet, but I can tell you what i´m doing now, trying to start loosing some weight.
I still have breakfast, I eat a bowl of yoghurt (without cereal now) and have a cup of peppermint tea. In a month or so I will stop eating the yoghurt as well.
At 10 am I have a cup of decaf coffee (yes, that has to go too!)
I don´t snack between breakfast and lunch, if I really need something I eat some strawberries, pickles or an apple.
For lunch, while I cook noodles for my kids I eat a nice big salad with beans, mais, pickles or anything else on it (that tasts really good actually after all those hours), that way I´m already quite full when we sit down and I eat just a tiny portion of noodels or rice. Ah, and I take folic acid.
Then I have another pepperminttea in the afternoon with two thin crisp bread with low-fat cream cheese on it.
For dinner I just have what I cooked for my family really reducing my protein portion and if I make potatoes in whatever way for them I make couscous or rice for myself.
Then at around nine pm I have a herbal tea with two crisp bread slices again. Before going to sleep I take iron with vit C, my doctor told me to do so.
I´m having a hard time as I used to eat soooo many Good Sweet Fat Things all day long  but I am keeping it up and I´m quite sure I´ll be able to take out breakfast and those crisp breads six weeks before my attempt. The only problem will be if I don´t get pregnant in July, because in August I will be in Italy for two weeks with my family in law:sigh: they will make me eat!
Ah and I´m looking for saw palmetto now because I want to start taking that too.
Hi ladies just thought id put my daily routine down:
NO breakfast, sometimes a glass of milk around 10 but not very often
For lunch 3 crackerbreads with unsalted butter and cottage cheese
If i cant wait till tea then have a yougurt drink or some cucmber mid afternoon
Dinner is usually noodles or pasta with a small bit of cheese, unsalted butter, peas and cucmber. Or once a week will have small bit of chicken with leeks and beans followed by yougurt
DRINKS, cranberry juice throughout day, 2 glasses of milk and some perrier
Have lost 18lbs in 3 months doing this
xxx
Oh and for supps i have 10,000mg cranberry tabs
100mg calcium (as most of it is through diet)
300mg magnesium
400mg folic acid
xx
Wow! Thanks for going into all the details! One question? Are pickles ok to eat then? I thought because of the sodium content they were a no-no? And looking at the French diet...the crisps, as long as they are low salt, should be fine. Is there a reason we can't have them? I'm just making a very big list of all the foods I can/can't eat and some of them I'm a bit confused....
I get up at 5am skip breakfast
12pm 2 slices low sodium bread and dab of unsalted butter, 2 glasses of non-fat organic milk
4pm non-fat greek yogurt, no sugar added strawberries and equal
6pm calcium fortified pasta, organic no salt added green beans, small amount of parm and non-salt butter
Thats it for the day! Tons of dasani water with wal-mart crystal light and some peppermint tea with equal for drinks!
I take a mag pill at lunch, vitex in the am, and folic acid, baby aspirin and saw palmetto at night.
Wow that's great doula mamma your obviously doing something right, keep up the good work

im not really doing the diet 100% anymore. im going to start again tomorrow though. i was getting up at 6 and then not eating until about 10-12. i would have a big glass of peppermint tea though... i would have some toast with sugar free strawberry jelly or swiss cheese and a glass of skim milk for my late breakfast. a yogurt and more tea for a snack. for lunch more milk and something like a salad or noodles with a little parm cheese and green peppers with mrs. dash and yogurt on top or cottage cheese..... for dinner normally rice or noodles with veggies (peas or green beans) and more toast. yogurt again for a snack and more tea. sometimes i would eat off the diet or have a potato. it's been hard to stick to since im always running around and just cant sometimes. i haven't salted anything in 2 months and im eating a lot more dairy and mostly off the girl diets.
i wanted to add im drinking only water (normally bottled), crystal light, skim milk, choc milk (with sugar free choc syrup), and cranberry juice.
im taking 500 mg of vitex, folic adic, and cranberry in the afternoon
and then calcium, magnesium, and more cranberry at night
MD I still think you're doing a great job. Sometimes if you reach for the stars you fall a little short, but you're still farther than all the people who never even reached in the first place, KWIM???
PS - a potato is not going to kill anyone's sway - think of all the baby girls that have been conceived in Ireland!!!
I started a thread just for sharing menus although this thread is already quite excellent!!! I have to lose a little weight so I'm going to try to eat a girl-friendly diet for a couple weeks just to play around with it.

Ah, I didn´t know about the sodium in the pickles, thanks! My crisps are low salt, but I´m still cooking with salt too.
I´m taking things out step by step, we will TTC in July I hope, for now I´m trying to loose weight and reduce testosteron.
I had tomatoes on a forbidden list too, but now I don´t remember why, does anyone know ? We eat a lot of bolognese and co.
also i think pickles can raise ph?
No, pickles are def. loaded with sodium but you can make "Quickles" (I made these all the time when I had postpartum hypertension and couldn't have salt!) Vinegar is supposed to sway blue but seriously, we HAVE to be able to eat something.
Heat 1 c. vinegar (you can add dill, celery seed, and mustard seed if you like but you don't have to because they may sway slightly blue - then again you're eating so very little of it) with 1 c sugar or Splenda (don't use aspartame because you shouldn't heat it) until the sugar melts, then pour it over 3 thinly sliced cucumbers (about 6 cups). Or you can make half slices, and chop the rest of the cukes into relish-sized bits if you like relish. You can make as little or as much as you want, just stick to the 1-1 sugar to vinegar ratio.
I always put onion and garlic in as well but of course those are no-nos on the girl diet.
You can also pickle cabbage, radishes, asparagus, green beans, okra, etc. for a change of pace. I liked cauliflower, red pepper, and matchstick carrots this way, but again these aren't considered "girl" veggies.
PS - if you want to make this when you aren't on the girl diet, you add one tablespoon of pickling salt when heating the vinegar.
Tomatoes can raise pH and they have a lot of potassium (and tom. sauce often has a lot of sodium). But I would eat them now and then on days when I hadn't had a lot of potassium. I know one lady from IG who conceived a girl eating nothing but spaghetti with vegetarian marinara sauce.
Wow, thanks a lot Atomic, this really helps since pickles-from now on ´Quickles´- really help me staying on the diet!
probably because they gave me a nice sodium boost LOL
My diet is pretty boring and I'm not so strict on it. I mostly eat rice cakes, greek yogurt with mashed fresh strawberries and raspberries mixed in, spaghetti with ricotta through it, low salt salada biscuits with ricotta and cucumber rings on top, try drink low fat milk and drink peppermint tea, I still drink 1-2 coffees a day I may eat abit of boiled chicken breast and usually one thing from the forbidden girl diet every couple of days. I don't eat breakfast never have. I'm also having Cranberry juice, folic acid, cranberry tablets, magnesium, calcium and well right now I'm being a bad girl and eating 3 pieces of apple and purple grapes I know a big NO NO
Belle, I don't think apples are a bad idea at all for pink. Yes, they are alkalinizing and have some potassium, BUT they are a great source of fiber and are satisfying and filling.
Here's my day for today...A lot of this is NOT for PINK but I know I'll drop the weight quickly. Still having trouble w/food as I'm eating things like broccoli and cauliflower (sways BLUE!). I used to put kale in my a.m. smoothie but that's definitely not PINK. Aside from the cranberry, yogurt and calcium, I think this is all BLUE unfortunately. Yesterday was similar but was only 850 cals (which I won't do often since I'm breastfeeding and metab slows down too much and thwarts my weightloss attempt).

bump
Are there any vegetables that are girl-friendly? Or any that do not sway boy? It's interesting reading about what others eat!
I'm getting into the swing of the diet now, here's what I had today.
No breakfast, strawberry nutrigrain bar at 10
Lunch - ryvitas with humous (not great but low fat version) and strawberries
Dinner - pasta with leeks, peeled courgettes, unsalted butter and a little Parmesan with a squeeze of lemon. A glass of cranberry light juice.
:agree: That's the way you do it swish! Great job.
Swish, I quite like the nutrigrain bars but I thought they were a no because they have both oats and wholegrain? Have you tried Ryvita Crackerbread? (The white ones in the yellow box with red writing - I didn't know they were made by Ryvita actually!). They look good because they don't have wholegrains but have hardly any calories, protein and fat. You're ahead of me of course - because I haven't even started the diet yet!!

What about caramel flavoured snack-a-jacks too? Just looking on Tesco's website and a 25g pack has 101 kcal, 1.5g protein, 40g of sodium and less than 4% fat - and the main ingredient is rice!

I did try the ryvitas cracker bread but found it quite tasteless. I've been making my own bread which is actually easier than I expected
Hi Swish, can you please post your recipe for making your own bread? Thanks heaps
Yes, they definitely don't taste of much! I would love to make my own bread but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to stop myself eating it all in one hit :D
I made some saltless bread in my bread machine today, and though it's remarkably light and fluffy, it's completely tasteless. I'd love a recipe for a tastier version (mine was just flour, water and yeast).
First of all jjc, I have to say that I'm WAAAAAAY jealous that you have a Vitamix!!!! I've been wanting one for a 1 year now. DH promises that we can get one when he gets a hefty commission check! I was just mentioning to my hubby how I haven't made pizza for my boys in a real long time, I guess I've been avoiding it since I've been on the diet. I like that you used organic ingredients!!! We do organic in our house! Thanks for sharing your girl diet pizza recipe. I'm going to make it soon. I was also wondering where you bought your Chitosan? I looked at my Wholefoods and they don't carry it anymore.
Thanks jjc. I will look at that website. I've been on the diet since April 5th. I've been taking the supps. since March. I'm feeling ok except for when I drink peppermint tea, I immediately start to feel light headed and dizzy. I'm using 2 tea bags at once. Other then that everything is ok. Thanks for asking! How long have you been on the diet? Have you noticed any different in your body chemistry?
