Except for Memorial day weekend I have not had red meat in a month. I have had some pork, but even that has been minimal.
I am having the hardest time not eating turkey. I just can't live on white carbs alone. I don't fill up and then I snack all day which I would think would be even worse.
Whenever I try to replace something for the turkey or chicken it is beans, which I am assuming we are not suppose to eat.
Argh! I hate this diet!!!!
It was very hard for me... At first I tried the diet 100% full force and after 18hrs I crashed. After that I just slowly changed everything. Everyday pushing breakfast from 7am to 11am, controlling drink times, last I changed dinner to a vegan type meal. I slowly changed the type of foods as well cereal/milk for a vegan low everything lunch, all drinks were replaced with Crystal Light and Diet Caff free soda, and dinner was the hardest but it is now vegan with pasta or rice.
I am breastfeeding so I am not doing the full diet like others... min protein and nutrients needed for breastfeeding was planned first and hitting the min with everyday became easy by the end of the first week.
I totally stopped breakfast, accept for maybe one or two strawberries. My lunch is completely vegetarian (almost always), sometimes I have a piece of cheese. The only things I drink are water, peppermint tea, 1 cup of coffee a day or one cup of regular tea, and diet caffeine free coke, It is dinner that is my issue. I am not adding salt to anything, and I am working on my vegetarian dinners. But tonight I really want to make a roast chicken. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. I am going on a month and not TTC until July.
We are not trying until after July 1st so I know your pain... I made left over lamb last night for the boys and I had veggie w/pasta, it was great and very hard. I ended up taking one bite (to make sure it was safe for them to eat) and that help to cut off the cravings.
To keep yourself in the girl dream... Just picture your little girl sitting at the table eating dinner with you. It makes you so much stronger to picture your goal.
Tonight I am making chicken panang and I plan to eat a little of the meat but mostly rice/veggies/sauce.
It is funny, when I look at people around me with girls, some of them fit the low nutrient diet to a T, but then others have done the complete opposite and have multiple girls.
I think I am going to make the chicken. I really want a DD, but I am not going to be able to keep this diet up for long so I would rather have meat now and cut it completely out the days leading up to ovulation. If I don't get pregnant by fall I don't think I am going to continue with this diet.
A cheat here and there is ok....
I know what you mean about the people with all girls. It may just be what they ate for week/s before conceiving. Maybe they lost a lot of weight. Most people like to loose weight before getting pregnant.
I am beginning to feel it is the wait loss that makes the biggest difference. I was at a steady weight, but was not losing as when I got pregnant I was only 117 lbs. Now do I need to get lower then that before I conceive or is the weight loss I am on (almost 13 lbs now) good enough. Do I need to get down to 114?
10-15 lbs is good for a sway... If already in the low weight zone then don't loose to much because it can prevent pregnancy.
I was 179lbs after Christmas and currently 148 so I can loose more and I really should since I tend to gain 40lbs with my pregnancies.
So you don't think I need to get lower then my weight when I conceived my DS?
I still do some chicken....If I don't I find thats when I cheat....I do very low calories maybe 1200 per day and I am now losing weight slowly....I was 165 Jan 1st and now I am 135 so I hope the weight loss will help me get my girl....I think you will be find with a very small portion of chicken
No just lossing some of the weight you have now.... Sounds like you are fairly skinny anyways so try not to go below 110. How tall are you?Quote:

Be very careful then, don't loose to much. Try to stick to a low everything type diet but be careful of to much weight lose.
My mom was under 100lbs when she conceived me and she is 5'6 but she also didn't eat much during her pregs and we all suffer from food/envir allergies, asthma, bro has muscle issues, and younger bro has autism and adhd. I mom was always about 100-115 when she got pregnant and the most she would gain is 10lbs and she even ran everyday with younger bro and lost tons of weight.
Healthy weight = healthy babies Set a limit and be careful.
I think my limit is 114. I really don't feel comfortable with going any lower.
I have a lot of guilt with swaying as it is, so I know if I dropped too low and God forbid anything happened either during the pregnancy or after birth I would blame myself,
I understand... 114 is a good goal!
I'm still eating chicken a few times a week. It's such a big part of the IG girl diet, and I've been a member of that site for years, so it's ingrained into me that it's ok to eat it. I just keep my portion very low and minimize all other protein those days (like milk and yogurt - those are always the things that tip me over the 40g limit).
My best friend is all about meat. She has GGB.
There are 2 ladies here at work that are vegetarian. One of them has GG and the other has BB.
This is really tough....I dont know how i am gonna do this diet. It's hard especially when you're not cooking for only you. My meals work around what my LO will eat...he's my main focus....forget DH or me lol
I was a vegeterian with DS1 and I think in some cases being vegeterian can be boy-friendly because when you do eat fish, you can end up having a very healthy, protein-rich diet (since you are more careful about eating healthy and getting your nutrients) with varieties of fruit, veggies, beans, nuts and fish, thatīs what I ate + I was snacking all day fat, sugary things.
So if you eat a little chicken every now and then but eat low sodium, low fat, low cal, low nutrients I think your diet still sways pink a lot!
One of my sons best friend Adrian is a forth generation vegan (100% no meat or animal products)... they only eat fruits, veggies, beans, grains, and nuts. On the dad side there are only boys (I believe 8 total) and on the moms side she is the only girl but she was from a non vegan mom (odd ?) she has 6 halfbros. Sons Adrian friend is an only child for now but his mom is trying the sametimes as us because or cycles are the same. Adrian also has 16 cousins and 2 are girls (they were a FD sway many years ago) All the women in the family were either from vegan families or eating vegan for about 3 years before conceiving.
