I feel like this may be a dumb question but is one better than the other for swaying purposes or do they both work the same? The reason I'm asking is because I really don't drink any diet drinks nor do I use Splenda in anything so I'm trying to think of ways that I can work it into my diet. If I have to, I guess I can add in flavoured water. I noticed that Toaster Strudels have sucralose as do the Doritos that are sitting in my cupboard at the moment...![]()

Hi I've just re-started the diet and I also never have aspartame or diet drinks or any fizzy drinks at all - I have been having coffee with aspartame based sweetener at 11.30 then lunch with a Diet Coke then another coffee late afternoon (near dinner time) with another sweetener - it's hard to add in the sugary drinks without making me sugar levels go up in between meals as obv not meant to snack on the Le diet xxx

I don't know specifically if one is better than the other (I thought there was a specific reason to use aspartame in the first place?), but my body reacts badly to sucralose. My blood sugar shoots way up when I have something with it instead, generally much higher than it would if I just had the normal sugared version of whatever. I do not have the same issue from aspartame. It has no affect on my sugar levels at all.

Here is the essay about sweeteners and how they sway, however I didn't see sucralose mentioned. Aspartame is supposed to be good for a pink sway though and there are a bunch of other sweeteners mentioned here as well.

I personally doubt they do much of anything anyway. I have seen too many people get boys having a massive amount, and if you needed them to conceive girls, none of us would even be here (well maybe you young chickies would LOL)
I got my 4th boy with aspartame and my girl without it.
I had some kind of weird reaction to sucralose so I am kinda down on people using it (and I hate hate hate how much stuff they're putting it in nowadays) If you tolerate it ok, it's up to you.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

sucralose gave me for lack of a better word, panic attacks. I started using it in tea and found that I would wake up, feel normal, then drink my morning tea and feel just insanely, crazy bad for several hours. Then, I'd have it in an evening decaf tea and my heart would race and I couldn't sleep for hours and hours Interesting I wonder if it was doing something to blood sugar, sometimes sugar makes me feel jittery too. Bad juju

Thank you! I knew I had seen a detailed write up but couldn't remember where.
I may not use it in my sway. I've never liked the taste of aspartame anyway. I've heard of different people having crazy side effects so I'd rather not find out if I'm someone who will have them too. I'm still working through what I'm going to use.
I feel like just doing the diet is making me way more pink than I was when I got my boys.Mama to four sweet boys

This is interesting isn't it? And there are quite a few 'diet' soft drinks/sodas out there now that have these artificial sweeteners in them. I was drinking quite a bit of caffeine free Coke for a while there that had aspartame in it but it just made me feel strange as well so I don't drink the stuff any more.

I would never consume aspartame in any amount, it is toxic IMO. I think Splenda is okay, certainly immensely better than aspartame in all ways, but I doubt it sways much. If aspartame sways, it's BECAUSE it's toxic, I think. But radiation probably sways pink too and I wouldn't recommend it! I feel similarly about trans fat.
