    Not ovulating after chemical

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience or advice. Last month I had a chemical pregnancy. I had positive tests from 14dpo and then started to bleed a week later. This month has been strange! I had nearly positive opks for a week and then got what I thought was a proper positive on cd 28. I had some ewcm and all usual ovulation signs but I'm now on day 31 and still no temp rise. Do you think I may not ovulate this month? Thanks in advance [emoji3]

It's possible you had a false surge. Your body may have geared up for O then decided against it. It's still possible you'll ovulate this cycle. Your body may just need a little more time to readjust after the chemical. I've had false surges before and I would usually get another pos OPK about a week later and ovulate shortly thereafter.

Yes so far that cycle appears anovulatory BUT I completely agree with ks - you will very likely still ovulate.

I would actually not call that a chemical per se but instead a very early loss, and that can mess up a cycle more than a chemical.

ARe you dieting very strictly?? Taking any herbs??

Thank you Atomic, I've become very slack with the diet as it's taken so long to conceive. The only thing I'm taking is fibre and folic acid. I've put on about 6lb in the last month or so too.
Do you think my age has got anything to do with it also? I'm 40

It does take us longer at 40 but it is still possible for most of us who have proven fertility, especially when we've had babies in the last 3-4 years previous.

Are you eating a lot of sugar and white carbs??

Thank you, i had my boys at 33 and 36 and got pregnant very quickly so this time is unusual for me.
I am eating lots of white carbs and a fair amount of sugar, does that need changing?

Yes we need to change that up to improve egg quality and hopefully correct your cycle. I would have you on this diet https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...rt-3-pcos.html
