Ovulating and ebf?

I am ebf my 8 month old and today, I am having those pinches and dull pains that I associate with ovulation. I still haven't gotten my period but I know you can ovulate still. Does anyone have experience with this and could you feel when you started ovulating again? I really want to get pregnant but I haven't started swaying yet and I've read I should wait until my dd is older than one.

Yes, I had this and sometimes it was in months I didn't even ovulate (I had the most realistic fake ovulation and even went to the doctor for a blood pg test) My doctor said he sees it pretty frequently with BF, it's as if your body likes to practice for a few months before it gets going.
