So a little about me, I am 39 with 3 kids, 1 DD and 2DS ( DD was with my ex husband) I am trying to have a DD to complete my family. I am new to this site, and found out i have been going at things wrong for a girl sway, especially the LE diet. I have been losing weight, 8lbs (I am 5'8 and 139lbs started 148lbs trying to lose at least 6lbs more) but I did it by cutting calories and eating low fat protein (chx, some white fish, lunch meat) lots of salads with low fat dressing. I wanted to start the ttc next month but I feel now I should wait another month to get the protein out of my system to lower my testosterone. I am scared bc of my age to wait to long. I am finishing nursing my 11 month old son. He nurses maybe 3 times a day. My question is how long should I now wait its been a week since ive eaten meat (minus 1 cheat lunch) and I just started restricting my diet I am aiming below 1200 day. Plus I run 4 miles a day as well. I haven't stopped taking multi vitamins (bc of nursing, should I?), in addition, I ordered my supplements of cranberry, calcium with no zinc, folic acid, going to use represh and I think a antihistamine 2 hrs before dtd and abstinence until then. Is there anything else that makes a large impact on swaying? I have read on this site to be on diet for at least 8 weeks which pushes me back until sept if that makes a difference in making for stronger sways.
Additional Back ground: when I conceived my DD, I was 30, size 2 ( I am between a 4 and 6 now), barely ate throughout day except dinner and had a cocktail with dinner, I don't know much else bc I wasn't planning on conceiving it was a surprise. The one thing I do remember was when we dtd and when he ejaculated inside I would almost always get a yeast infection and I was always very uncomfortable, his swimmers and I didn't mix. My husband now I never have that problem. Could my ex make me extremely acidic? Maybe that's not significant but I was trying to think the difference was in the pregnancies.

Just a couple of things from me (I'm sure others will help fill in, too) - you're eating too few calories. Any regular girl should be eating around 1500 and maybe absolute minimum 1200 once in a blue moon. However you're bf AND doing strenuous exercise. You'll need much more.
I'd want to drop the vitamins and get your nutrients from your food if you're TTC girl. LE diet aim for 12 weeks minimum. Good luck!

Thank you! I will wait and do what you recommend. I thought it was losing weight not LE, I wish I would have found genderdreaming months ago!

I agree with Bunnywabit, but I would keep the folic acid or folate.

At 39, you don't have the time to spare skipping months. I think you need to proceed ASAP with what works for your family. We never know when it's the last fresh egg in the carton, unfortunately. Of course, it's up to you to decide that, I just see too many 39 year olds ending up taking a year to conceive and so I like to err on the side of not hemming and hawing waiting for the perfect sway.
1200 is the barest minimum and I would never, ever, ever, never in a billion million kajillion years have anyone who is nursing, running, and 5-8 even eat 1200. NO ONE should go below 1200 for any reason ever. I want you up at 1800-2000 cals till you wean and then you can drop down to 1500-1800
The multi needs to go. Eating barely any food and then relying on a multi for nursing - it doesn't work that way. you need fat and calories to make breastmilk, not a vitamin pill. And multivites have gotten 80% success rate for BOYS. Don't drop all at once, go down to 3x a week and then space doses further and further till you're down to one a week then drop them.
I am not a fan of cranberry for women. Calcium at your discretion, I got boys with it and then dropped it to get my girl but some swear by it. At 39, I'd have you do 2000 mcg folic or folate.
I don't know your husband's age but men over 35 must not abstain. Not safe. Have him either release daily for 7-10 days before having ONE (and only one) attempt or have him release every 2-4 days before having ONE (and only one) attempt.
Having one attempt is getting boffo results for us. If you do TTC this month and can do only one thing, make it that. Don't add attempts even though it's tempting to do so. one attempt gets superior results to everything except diet and exercise and fertility medication.
Antihistamine and the jellies have gotten disapointing results (appear to be neutral) and are really cutting odds of conception. If you were doing a custom plan I would not recommend them for you.
The difference between your conceptions was not your husband but that you were slimmer and not eating much. Alcohol has also been a good tactic for us although still a bit too small a sample size for me to totally embrace it just yet. WE have also found that sometimes women who aren't real happy in their relationship tend to have more girls (but that is just speculation of course, no one holler at me!)

Losing weight may help a bit but we are finding that the diet itself (higher carbs, lower protein, more vegetable fats than animal, lower fat overall, and lower nutrients) is swaying much more strongly and consistently than weight loss. We have had lots of opposites going both ways with weight loss/gain - blue swayers who have gained and gotten girls anyway, pink swayers who have lost and still gotten boys, and vice versa - blue swayers who lost a bit and got boys (large weight losses for blue swayers have still been very pink), and pinkies who gained and got girls anyway. Overall it's the trend, but not anything like the results with the diet!
Glad you found us and welcome BTW!!!
