Hello. I was curious - once you get a bfp (I haven't yet!) is it safe to change your diet back to normal suddenly? I normally eat a paleo type diet so my girl sway diet is very different than my norm. Once I'm pregnant, I want to eat as healthy as I can for the baby but don't want to shock my system. When I keep reading that you need to taper off vitamins and supplements once you get your bfp it made me wonder if the same goes for food? Or should you gradually reintroduce sodium, more meats, etc.

Once you get your bfp can you drastically change diet back to normal all at once?

Once you get a bfp the gender is determined and diet for swaying purposes wouldn't matter anymore. But, many like to make sure it's a sticky bean before completely reverting back to non swaying lifestyle. It just depends on what you're comfortable with.

I personally think it's wisest to ease in a little bit with sodium and protein. Doesn't need to be drastic, but the idea that some people have that as soon as they'll get BFP they'll go nuts and eat tons of salt and meat in one day, just makes sense to go a little easier, that's all.

Ok thank you ladies. I figured easing into the new diet would be best but just wanted to make sure!

Oh I was talking about safety, not swaying. Yes, gender is set at conception so once you have BFP it's fine to normalize, I just don't want anyone freebasing salt if they were limiting it and eating a side of beef. I don't have any evidence it harms anything, just seems reasonable.

Are most people reducing salt? I haven't considered it in my sway as I would have found it so hard to keep to the diet. I've not added salt but have had some veggie ready meals which have been relatively high in sodium, plus bread which isn't great sodium wise. Sorry to crash your thread!

I'm sort of combining a few different girl sway diets (I know this isn't recommended!)
