Sex every 12 hours with and without a cutoff?

Hi Gender Dreaming Family! I haven't been on in ages since I conceived my daughter with a failed blue sway. I won't say failed though, because after ttc for a year, and being diagnosed as borderline pcos, I just wanted to get pregnant. We got pregnant the same month we began testing with the RE, within 72hours of the HSG. We had sex o-2, o-1, and o. I am 14 months postpartum, just finished breastfeeding after 13 months, and this is our first month really trying. Today is cd 16, and still no positive opk. It's our first day DTD as well (morning). I think I will get a positive opk on cd 18 or 19, but will be out of town Monday, and won't be home until late Tuesday, which is either ovulation day or the day before. Not that I will have the energy to do this, but how does sex every 12 hours sway. Assuming there is no sperm count issues, and you obviously are only doing it a day or so before ovulation? DH would like a boy this time, and I would be happy with another girl. So, I'm not particularly swaying one way or the other this time, but am just curious!

I am no expert by any means, but I would think sex every 12 hours would sway girl. You are lowering the sperm count. I have two boy, both were conceived having sex every other day.

I don't think every 12 hours woukd be a good idea and very different to actually complete.

Both my boys were from every other day. It could be that you had a great sway last time and just happened to get an opposite.

Sex every 12 hours at a positive OPK is very specifically blue, but for many days is girl.

For swaying blue, every 2-4 days after AF leaves town, then 3 attempts in 24 hours at +OPK. GL!

If we knew the fertile window was open and that you really were 1-2 days from O, that would be totally blue friendly.

The concern arises in that if you're NOT just about to O, and you pick up BD every 12 hours from now till forever then that could possibly sway pink since by the time the FW opens hubby would be totally depleted. The early batches would die in the harsh vaginal environment and you'd possibly end up with lower sperm numbers.

Sorry I know it's all very complex. Basically, if the egg is coming, that is all good. If egg is not coming, then it may sway pink to do that.

Are you having EWMC or any other signs that are indicating to you that O is nigh??
