So AF is here again. Everything seemed perfect this month, I even felt pregnant, but obviously wasn't meant to be. After a year of swaying, my husband has decided he no longer wants a third child (he was never sure, he gave it his best shot and he doesn't want to be any older - he is 12 years older than me, the age gap between the kids is getting big too and our two boys are pretty high need, particularly the eldest). I've said I will at least give it a break for a couple of months and really consider the whole thing and then we will discuss again. I need a break from the diet and the heartache anyway - I feel defective and so sick of it not happening month after month plus we don't want a late summer baby, as we are currently watching our youngest struggling with school being a summer born. So I just wanted to say thank you so much - particularly to Atomic - you have been so amazing, supportive and helpful and to everyone else who has offered their support. I'll keep checking on all your progress and hope to see lots of BFP's and desired genders. Perhaps we will get our chance one day, but if not, we are blessed with our two boys x

Taking a break from TTC

I'm so sorry your DH wants to stop trying. It sounds like you worked so hard to sway over the past year so I'm sure it makes you feel very defeated. Good luck to you in whatever you and your DH decide. Hopefully if you do decide to try again, you'll get your daughter. Take care.

Thank you both for your replies. I hope a bit of a break from TTC will help us to find our way to the right decision for us both. I think a little time with the pressure off will be good for us both - physically and mentally. I've had a couple of weeks off the diet and I actually think it's been good for me but I will try to get back on a relaxed LE diet just incase he will give it another go in a few months time. Any tips to improve my chances of conception without swaying blue if he were to allow us a couple more months?

What I'd have you do for now is just hang out being vegetarian or mostly vegetarian and then see what happens. I don't want you on LE any more, I think it maybe messed with your head too much.
I also want you to keep going with the full fat dairy. I think you may still be depleted and I want you at a place where you are able to get pregnant WHEN he changes his mind.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

OK. Well I'm going to try to keep to the not snacking, coffee and alcohol which I have come to enjoy and which were a big change from before. I will start the exercise again a little nearer to the time that there is a chance we might try (as I find fitting in the exercise the hardest). I will limit meat as much as possible - can i just ask what is the best pink friendly way to get enough fat in my diet without too much dairy, as I think a big part of the problem was that I wasn't getting enough fat, which messed with my cycles?

Well, the Catch 22 is that the pinkest way is vegetable based fats, but it's animal fat that is best for maintaining fertility. Just one of those obnoxious balancing acts we have to pull off, unfortunately. So please don't NOT eat dairy, just make sure you're getting more veg. based fats than animal.
