Moon phase/chinese calendar

none of them seem to match up as TP says, and ive yet to find one that is right for all 8 of my babies

Some gender charts get 2 out of 3 right for my boys and others 2 wrong, 1 right. It's 50/50 so it's going to seem right for some, but really it's because there's only two possible outcomes: boy or girl so there's a 50% chance of it being right. All 3 of my boys were conceived during a new moon or just before it and supposedly new moon means girl. It's all just a bunch of baloney.

My Brother and SIL have two boys, both were conceived on a boy chinese calendar date, but new moon phase, just found it weird that they are both boys and both matched the gender calendar and moon phase.
I have girls and boys and one of my boys is the only one that is opposite for gender calendar and moon phase, but I did have a very boy friendly diet, so I keep reminding myself that checking on the calendar and moon phase isn't reliable.
I didn't check any of that at the time I got pregnant with him, we had no preference.
I have only been looking into swaying for a couple of years.

Thank you for your reply. You are right about it being 50/50, I think just when I can see it being correct for some babies, including three of mine I start thinking their must be truth to it, but there are probably as many wrong predictions as there are right when it comes to these gender superstitions.

What would be really freaky is if it was WRONG for everyone! Then you'd just have to do the opposite of what it said!

It's just how luck works - sometimes it seems like it works for some babies or for some people but it's just coincidence.

Like Einstein says, "God doesn't play dice with the universe" - meaning I believe swaying works because it's helpful to us and our babies in some way, to have a baby that has a better chance of surviving to adulthood to pass down genes. So things like diet and overall physical condition make sense to sway, because they can end up leading to our genes being more likely to be passed on. It just makes NO earthly sense to me at all that if you don't have enough nutrition to grow a big strong baby boy (since boys need more nutrients from the moment of conception on thru life) on Wednesday, that you would be able to grow a big strong baby boy on Thursday.

I just wanted to add that even though I totally agree how it can't be true, I did struggle with it. It was hard not to ignore. I was Ttc girl, and actually this year was looking great for me on most Chinese charts with tons of girls. Of course the one month I concieved, it was a full moon and boy on gender chart. I don't know gender yet and cant even be sure of viability as its early, but being that it's my last shot at this after 5 boys, I kinda wanted to try everything in my power. But believed it enough that those two things can't be all that reliable because I didn't skip this month.

Honestly, I find it incredibly hard to believe ever having a daughter after 5 sons, but I know I tried my best without trying to be G-d and matching everything to perfection. Because I realized that even if I did everything and pushed off waiting until it all worked out, I would be beyond devastated when I saw that Male genitalia on the screen. So I didn't do that stuff and just stuck to diets and attempts and exercise and it's out of my hands. I already chose a boys name and accepted I'm going to be that mom with 6 sons, and deep down I hope I am surprised.

I think just do what you can without skipping months. I literally just couldn't exercise and do the diet anymore. So I chanced it on that month. And what do you know. Bfp. Lol. We do our best. That's all we can do. GL

I completely see what you mean and the logical side of my mind tells me the same (and now you ladies explaining more and hearing others' experiences with these 'theories').
